I'm so happy The Black is a thing. I love this franchise so much, and was so worried after uprising that we would never get anything. But thankfully we got the black and this franchise is revived!

All of you guys have to realize that the show takes place in Australia. Herc Hansen would be the logical choice because they are both Australians. Herc was probably an icon in Australia in the Pacific Rim universe.

I fucking love this show, the true spiritual successor to Pacific Rim 1, wayyyy better than Uprising (but also pays homage to Uprising by using some of their ideas like the Hybrid Kaiju Jaegers), this show expand the ideas introduce in Pacific rim 1 and 2 and give us so much new elements and great characters, and is also more hardcore and dark than any of the films, I hardly cant wait for season 2.
They also change to the canon of uprising like Raleigh Becket being retired instead of dead and Herc Hansen still being a ranger instead of retired. It really makes me wish for Mako to be alive because she was unceremoniously killed in the sequel. I can only hope
For those who don't know, November Ajax died at the hands of the Kaiju Drones during the events of Uprising. The scene was cut from Pacific Rim Uprising, due to budget.
@@lordshotgun7168 I don't think that's true, since the first apperance of Apex was at a Jaeger graveyard. November Ajax was one of the remains placed there, along with Horizon Brave, who was destroyed in the first movie, so it wouldn't make sense if he were destroyed by Apex too. And the producer of Uprising already confirmed that November Ajax was destroyed by the drones during Uprising.
@@lordshotgun7168 yes, and if you paid attention you would know two things. One, it's Horizon Brave. Not Bravo, search it up. Your thinking of Guardian Bravo. Two, None of the Horizon Brave Jaegers survived the first movie. The Four main Jaegers you see in the first movie, are the only Jaegers left. None of the Jaegers survived the first movie. Before telling me to do research, do some yourself.
I enjoyed the series, was definitely hoping for an explanation of why breaches keep opening in Australia, not sure if I missed it but if not hopefully they'll explain more next season
Loved this series, watched it so many times so I built a Jaeger I named Darkness Overkill ( it would be called Cobalt Overkill but I barely have any blue legos ) also, I’m very confused why so much Kaiju have invaded Australia, but I think 1 explanation is that the Precursors think it’s best to take over one place rather than multiple, then they can start infecting and producing more and more till they can start moving to other countries rather than having to open breaches after the PPDC can locate it, so it would be a fully functional plan that most Jaegers would get distracted while the Kaiju start invasion. However, this would be a higher chance of their invasion too as I believe most Jaegers were wiped out during the Black in Australia so this is very rough for the PPDC and especially Taylor, Hayley, Mei and future good characters who maybe pilot other Jaegers cause of how very rare Power Cells are.
It did not enter its mouth. Copperhead had a Wound clearly shosn in images you showed. That middle wound was were the rocket entered and blew the kaiju to pieces.
I believe that those three old yeagers,the Vertigo,the Berseker and the Zeus are some sort of descendants of Gipsy Danger,Striker Eurika and the triple piloted Yaeger from the Uprising.I mena,am I the only one who sees clear as day the similarities in those Yaeger designs?Plus,I loved the show,I'm excited for everything,and I love that they follow a very rare and peculiar pattern in the whole storyline and timeline theme of the Pacific Rim,in such a way we(the Pacific Rim fans)stay with the same excitement and ya kno'.
bingo Hunter Vertigo has gipsy's power core Marauder zeus im not sure but striker berserker is basically striker eureka but its not exactly eureka im not sure if it has the chest missiles but most of its paint was removed from the original one
@@VentreidesXD Striker Berserker has the exact same hull design as Eurika,but has a completely different weapons arsenal.But Verdigo is purely same as the Danger,in my opinion,due to the Mark,if you have seen the original movie,then you'll understand that Gipsy's line of Mk3s is not shut and set to scrap completely
ok hear me out: while hayley and taylor were trying to get boy out of the tube he was in 2 more were broken, but when boy turned into a kaiju the notable diffrences are that he had red eyes and a collar like armor on his neck we see it on the meridian city kaiju everything you see on boy's kaiju mode is seen on that kaiju. So what if the kaiju rampaging on meridian city is actually an adult/ the kaiju boys dad. Leave your thoughts on the reply section
Then how do you explain Apex and it Drifting with Boy? Wouldn't the adult follow them? It was making noises like a Jaeger/Kaiju Drone Hybrid as it moved, plus it's silhouette certainly looked like Apex. So unless Boy grows a bunch of metal parts as he gets older how is this supposed to be possible? Just wondering.

Yep, you said it. Though in the episode, "Graveyard", the siblings find many torn up Jaegers as *well* as Kaiju... Loa said that there were multiple breeds, she also said there are Leatherbacks, Slatterns and Mutavores so this probably means the Kaiju (the original ones that died) designs or "breeds" if you wanna call it that way, can be cloned by the Precursors so if this is true, then the many Acidquills are different Kaiju though having the same bodies. Edit: Oh do you mean different Kaiju designs? Sorry I got confused though yep, they should've made other Kaiju to take Acidquill's place 'cause at this point, THERE'S TOO MANY OF 'EM!
@@JarshMallow oh no worries yeah I get the fact that there are similar breeds of kaiju! They showed a bunch of knife heads in the the rift after all and otachi had a baby. Its just not as fun out of universe to see a standard goon kaiju for the jaegers to fight even though they are formidable, they just seem to have trouble finding this one special if it keeps getting reused. I was fine with copperhead reappearing because it was the same individual and it gave a personality to the beastie. Also i’m confused about there being more than one slattern given it was the only category 5.

The atlas destroyer's ai lola Is a very unique Ai. She's sentient like to a point where she like alive in someway, She can talk and hold conversations like a human and can feel like a human (mentality speaking) but she cant control the body that shes in. Is there something more the lola the AI then we think?
You skipped one. The Jaeger I came looking for info about. "Horizon ?????". When they're in the boneyard they scan that Jaeger and LOA immediately has a flashback while trying to state its name. It was obviously a bad flashback too.
To be fair this takes place who knows many years after the uprising war(2018 film as the battles that occured in that film are considered the uprising war canon wise thanks to the show) but it takes place long enough that it seems the Kaiju are trying to make more offensives. The PPDC could be preparing to take back Australia for all we know

@@Acousticmf123 toho didn't animated the anime trilogy polygon pictures did that. Just because toho made the trilogy doesn't automatically make it good. Toho just like ALL movie studios make good films and bad films the anime trilogy being one of those scenarios where the studio made bad films. Toho had nothing to do with pacific rim the black here but polygon pictures animated it and it's clear they had more freedom to do whatever they wanted in the animation in pacific rim while toho seemed to have restricted polygon pictures a bit
There is a theory that The a.i/loa is actually onces The a.i of horizon brave witch explain loa malfunction in one of the episode where Taylor and hailey Find some Kaiju,jaeger remains.
@@elnard. this theory is good but unlikely as its a mark 1 jaeger i would not expect it to have an AI cherno alpha did not have one coyote tango did not have one if there was it would be pretty inconvenient as it would cost a lot to put a helpful AI like loa and would probably take very long to install since it can do stuff on its own but possible
It's funny to me that everyone assumes boy is the messiah. It could be the case but he was not the only one in the frame when the sisters said the Kaiju messiah has arrived. Hailey had a golden Aura around her 2 times in season 1.
Apex is a Jaeger Drone but mutates into becoming basically Jaeger Drone Max Pro+, and Jaeger Drones are designed after Obsidian Fury, so technically yes.
