Skeletor: "I am your uncle." Adam: "No. No, thats not true. THATS ITS IMPOSSIBLE." Skeletor: "Search your Power, you know that its true." Adam: "NOOOOOOOOOOOO."
History of Keldor being older brother reminds me of WITCH, where Elyon was meant to be the ruler of her kingdom, despite Phobos being her older brother, because she was born with more power than her sibling and women were true heirs to the throne, not men, which made Phobos a selfish and ruthless villain consumed by his greed and obsession with absolute power. The difference is that while Keldor and Randor knew each other, Phobos wanted to get rid of his sister when she was a baby, before she could even get a chance to know him.
I do admit We so need a W.I.T.C.H. reboot one day as I do think cristina vee would fit the voice of Will so well and the fact you could do a lot with a Good idea to update or keep somethings intact
@@comicbookreviewer4856 In case of reboot, I wish Phobos and Elyon's story would be more explored, like for example what happened to their parents, because it was only mentioned they just disappeared which made Phobos a ruler when Elyon was a baby. The only backstory about Phobos was that his mother told him he was not meant to rule a kingdom, but Elyon, which only fueled his villainy.
Any reboot of an 80's property needs to go hard in the paint so they can tell the real story without S&P and their child psychologists looking over their shoulders
And Phobos right hand man what was it his name the giant snake guys really look alike with Hordak in 2024 😅. And Phobos right hand man betray him after that by swallow him
I'll give Kevin Smith credit for how he slightly requested and reformatted the brilliant character of Keldor which my first exposure to was in the he-man 2002 series Kevin Smith is a dork like the rest of us and he has learned from the first part of Revelation and continues to refine and remaster the Masters of the universe
They were taunting with the idea of Keldor being Skeletor from the 80s comics (not the animation). In a comic "The search for Keldor" they talked about Randor's missing brother and his secrets. Skeletor says "they must not find out about Keldor and his secrets". They don't explicitly say it, but they sow the soil for the idea already.
You gotta give Queen Amelia (Randor's mother) credit for how she tried to have Miro do right by Keldor despite the fact that Keldor was an illegitimate child (also half-alien) and not even HER'S.
The whole spiel that He-Man gives that "Keldor is not a victim!" is wrong. He was a victim... of prejudice by his own father, his own kingdom, etc. As they say: Society creates its own monsters.
@@christopherkidwell9817. Exactly if it Keldor weren’t leave the kingdom he would be king and they would grow up together and spend time with his nephew Adam and his niece Adora. And They both become He-Man and She-Ra to stop Horde Prime and Hordak
"Villains are not born, they are made" "Everyone thinks that they are the hero of their own story" "Good and evil is not who we are. It is the choices we make"
@TheGreatMusicmancer Same. Pretty clever job. Before the reveal, I kept saying to myself, "Keldor and Skeletor are two different people? They're supposed to be the same guy". Then after the reveal, I was, like, "So Keldor IS Skeletor. And... Adora DOES exist!".
@@bgill6623 I think it's less to do with regret for his actions and more to do with Hordak's abandonment of Skeletor. Which is fine, story wise this is still 'canon' and it's easy bait for a third season, since Keldor is the only one who remembers Adora even exists. Following the IDW comics, we should see a really brutal Adora as the Horde's force captain.
@@siriusface6171 honestly I thought about that too and it could go either way. I mean his exact motivations at that time weren't clear, maybe keldor didn't want things to go that far just rule the kingdom. Hard to say.
So that’s why Keldor he wasn’t the villain, he was a victim and he didn’t get banished, he decided to leave his home and comeback to Anwat Gar, so his younger brother Randor and his family they will never be exiled or replaced until Hordak found him Trained him and created Skeletor and Keldor he hate Hordak Just like Skeletor found Lyn, train her how to use magic and fight and he created Evil-Lyn and Lyn hate Skeletor Sound like they both made the same Cycle where Hordak train Skeletor and Skeletor train Evil-Lyn Someday Keldor he will change to be a good guy like Lyn and he will became the new king for His younger brother Randor and His nephew Adam And maybe Keldor will apologize to Lyn and they will become love couples and he will apologize Adam and everyone in eternia
For context, the Gar sided with the Horde during the Great War, hence why they were banished to their island. It's worth noting that the Great War was 1000 years ago, so it's a long grudge they're holding.
I was really hoping Mark Hamill would still voice Keldor, with the idea he would sound somewhat like Fire Lord Ozai. William Shatner was still pretty excellent, though.
Getting a different person to do the voice kind of brings home that Keldor and Skeletor are in some ways not the same person at all. I was amused that even Keldor himself was not that impressed with Skeletor. "All it took was a little voice in your head to FINALLY make you SHUT UP!"
@Giles29 Still, even with the different voice, Keldor still kind of does give off Fire Lord Ozai vibes. Now that you guys mention it, I realize that if Mark Hamill voiced Keldor, it wouldn't have been as misleading.
@@daionjustice In the comics its gets more interesting after, LEgends era wise when he and Lynn had a child after which he surrendered himself to Eternian custody,
Hoard Prime is a whole other animal. And hehe, maybe answers a mystery about the old MOTU cartoon. The gang goes back to ancient Eternia in an episode and Orko's magic is not disrupted... For... Reasons never really explained. At some point Eternia reacted defensively to Trollan magic. As if there was something about Trollans someone didn't like...
@@adaman.shr.3538 Horde Prime in many continuities is a mechanical construct that contains the mind of an evil member of the Trollan race. You know how in the old MOTU Eternia muddles Trollan magic? And there was an episode where they go back in time and Orko's magic was not muddled in ancient Eternia. But they never explain why this is. Turns out that probably was on purpose.
You know I bet anything these childhood events are what made Randor such a Non traditionalist. I mean don't forget in this timeline Marlena is still an alien and thus Adam a half breed just like Keldor.
I do Appreciate the ending here 4:30 because it’s like He-man said. No matter how many times he given a chance or even hope of redemption he always chooses power,he always chooses to be Skeletor. Unlike Adam with He-man his power form and identity is his true self After all that Hate and memory tampering Skeletor is his truest self.
Skeletor's origin in this version begins with a young man named Keldor, who was secretly a prince of Eternia and would have been first in line for the throne as he was Randor's older paternal half-brother, but he was denied that chance, because he was a "half-breed" and he and his mother were banished Keldor's mother taught him magic and told him to embrace it and use it in conjunction with technology, eventually, when Hordak attacked Keldor's home world, Keldor used his magic to try and hold off the invaders, Hordak then appeared and recruited Keldor, because he had confronted a trio of sisters that were "weavers of fate" and they gave him a prophecy the prophecy stated that Grayskull's heir (either He-Man or She-Ra) would stand in Hordak's way and prevent him from conquering the universe, and Hordak demanded to know if there was a way to stop Grayskull's heir, the weavers say that the power of Havok was the key and gave him the Havok Staff, but also warned him that he himself would not be able to wield it as he was not magical, they then showed him a vision of Keldor and made him realize that he had to recruit Keldor and train him to use the Havok Staff
so Keldor joined the Horde but he eventually became impatient and wanted the Havok Staff, Hordak would not give it to him and said he was not ready to wield it Keldor secretly went to Eternia and saw that Randor had taken the throne that was supposed to be his and that Randor's wife was pregnant (with twins that would grow to be Prince Adam and Princess Adora) disheartened Keldor returned to his home world and was shocked to learn that his own mother was one of the "weavers of fate" and that she had killed her sisters so she could take their power for herself, Keldor's mother wanted to become the Empress of the Horde and so manipulated Hordak into recruiting Keldor this is when Hordak suddenly arrived and helped Keldor defeat his mother and then finally gave him the Havok Staff, but upon touching the Havok Staff, the corrupting magic of Havok melted Keldor's face and transformed him into Skeletor
And here has the Mad Bone King risen. 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 Adam was right. No matter the choice Miro made, Keldor would become the villain either way. He was always born to be Skeletor.
@@tetsuyatsurugi9250 People of Eternos at the time wouldn't accept a illegitamate half-breed over a healthy and fit true-and-pure-born. They would rebel against him. It was a no win situation. Just pick your poison.
⚡️⚡️GREAT STUFF⚡️⚡️I’m glad I found your channel I look forward to seeing more of your videos📺 I do mostly TRANSFORMER Stop Motion 🎬📸🎞️ I hope you enjoy my animation‼️ 4:19
@@efaristi9737 I was mentioning that between the technology and the magic, the former is generally more practical than the latter, at least in offensive terms. As the spells can need magic words to cast them, adding years of study and practice to uses it properly. While that the technological weapons, only need that you pull a trigger or push a button to attack, adding that it only require a basic knownledge to know uses it.
@@josecuestas7246 when you do need to use magic words. In some universes, magic is very instinctive. In fact, i have seen severals characters using magic without using any words in the show.
What doesnt make sense with this show is Keldor was robbed of his birth right of becoming king, he was also driven insane by Holdak so it is understandby that Skeletor is like he is. Evil Lynn in revelations part 2 kill more people then Skeletor for no reason and everybody forgave her but Keldor they didnt.
@@tetsuyatsurugi9250 i mean even after he remembered he chose to be evil. it's like adam said, he may have been born keldor and thus victim to kingship being taken from him but he'll always choose to be skeletor which overwrites whatever wrong was done to him
@@TheGreatVoicemancer True, but I never viewed it as part of motu. As it's own thing, I really enjoyed the story and characters, I'd honestly say it's one of my favorite animated shows in general. (still salty we never got that rumored movie. lol)
