All Kirby References in Mario Games and Vice Versa (1992 - 2024) 

Kirby should be in Mario Kart as an actual character. I mean we already have Link, Villager, Isabel, and the Inklings, Sakurai is even friends with Miyamoto, it really should happen

You know not all of the Kirby's Dreamland enemies are directly taken from Mario, right? It's more that those designs are based on simplistic Japanese illustrations, usually derived from folktales. Like the Blooper or Phanto enemy's design wasn't created solely from Mario, that's more of a common artistic interpretation of what a squid or mask would look like in Japanese culture.

There's this one theory I've been thinking about all my life. What if Mario and Kirby live in the exact same universe? Think about it, there had been a few sightings of hills in the grasslands that have the same shape in Dreamland and The Mushroom Kingdom, sometimes they even look alike. And yes, that includes all the references in this video. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

We can officially call this year 'The year of Kirby' Poor Luigi...

Kirby's Adventure featured the Star Rod - It was even featured in Kirby Super Star as a part of Milky Way Wishes at the end of the level at every planet's Fountain of Dreams (Hence why the trophy in Melee says there's multiple - Fountain of Dreams stage was referencing Milky Way Wishes.) Paper Mario ALSO featured a Star Rod - a granter of wishes housed in a place suspiciously similar to a Fountain of Dreams - and what are Wishes given in the Mario universe but the Dreams of the Mushroom World's inhabitants?

Its actually kind of cool to learn that a good few of the Kirby enemies are based off of mario :)

You forgot the Kirby reference in the first paper Mario game where in the Shy guy toy box there are multiple drawings of the Scarfy enemy.

I can't believe I forgot that Bandana Waddle Dee first appeared in the Megaton Punch Mini-game in Kirby Super Star, I've played that so many times over.

With all their similarities, we could have a crossover.

The duplication on Super Star and Super Star Ultra was kind of unnecessary... Mostly the treasures and Megaton Punch, which didn't change at all.

Kirby appears in the back of the Mii's helmet at 0:45. And also appears as one of the helmets in Mario kart 8.
