when i watched it, i don't remember her being a doormat since she's very headstrong about getting what she wants but the reason she can't say anything in this scene is coz she had no rebuttal and felt bad about having to pawn off the grandmas gift in the first place (shes like REALLY broke) you don't need to watch it of course but i actually kinda liked this series (you do you)
Fl should accept her mistake and bear concequences if it was the second lead no one would cover up for her and show her being evil . But that's not case for main fl
