Yeah kinda good nostalgia packed with soo much no.. why you need these these will be worth nothing in a few years yeah sure :D how the world changes it costs literally a small fortune to find some of the 10 dollar ones :D But i have surprisingly good amount of these even the whole underwater attack set :D

I once asked my mum why did she spend so much money on those figures. She replied saying that the moment I saw these Bionicles my eyes lit up and seeing this it was the best feeling for my her. She knew that she made my day. I'm forever grateful to my parents for the childhood they gave me. There was something magical about these mask wearing/launching robotic toys. The set that amped up the original full figured ones was my favorite. When they came with foot attachments. I had the ice one skating around all the time. And then that one with the gold mask felt legendary to me as a kid.

My first one was 3:30. My aunt visiting me from California knew my parents never had time to go buy me anything for Christmas so she took me to a place in the mall called KB toys and got me one. Played with it everyday in my 8 year old imaginary world

I never got into Bionicle until 2009 when I found the Legend Reborn movie at the store. Even then I never got any of the sets. Shortly after that Hero Factory came along and I got to say it was not as bad as so many people think it was. I enjoyed Hero Factory just as much as Bionicle. I have every single Hero Factory set (Yes, every single one) and now I am trying to collect all of the Bionicle sets starting with the series that brought me into Bionicle.

Hero factory isn't bad, but people like me grew up with Bionicle and knowing how important it was to us as well as the fact that it basically saved Lego from collapsing it was very hard to see it go and then immediately be replaced by something that was very similar but literally just called "hero factory", it felt very corporate and kind of a slap in the face for longtime fans of Bionicle. On it's own it was probably fine, but in context it was a bad move to a lot of people.

Yeah Rocka was a cool as bionicle holy shit always dreamed of him one day getting in my hands, never happend, but what’s wrong bout dreaming. Still proud that i had so many Bioncles and generally so many Robots across the Lego verse from mask of light, glatorian to piraka and hero factory so cool i miss those days. One of my coolest bionicle till this day and will ever be was Tuma, he looks so cool.

Man I had majority of the 2009 collection and I have no idea where they ended up. I think I passed them down to my younger cousins but damn I wish we held onto them for nostalgia sake. I haven’t seen these since I had them as a kid and it brings me back to the simpler times when I was so innocent and creative playing with these things for hours with the deepest lore imaginable. Grew up with single mom me and my brother. So many fond moments of building and collecting bionicle, my brother being younger and having a harder time building, he always wanted me to take over his set and finish it too so we can play together faster. also my mom letting us display our collection in the living room, great times. I had no clue we had been getting them since release because i vividly remember having Huki disk shooter.

I gave all my bionicles to a kid in my family a few years back, but I still have Gresh (my first) posing in my room. (Ok technically just his mask and weapons with a new body I made for him after all the other joints broke from excessive play). I couldn’t help but notice there were a couple missing from this list, like the red and yellow spikey one for example. The ones I’m thinking of were definitely pre hero factory. If anyone knows of any others not in the video please let me know!

Who else mixed these with their legos and built some crazy stuff? I built a mech suit for a lego guy with a fighter pilots helmet using the mask cover on the bionicle at 3:01 as the cockpit door. What I would've given to have been able to work back then. I got the majority of them, thank my parents, however the Nuva were my first set. Even then I thought the Mata were way cooler. The Nuva, while cool, weren't nearly as interesting. Less colorful, especially with the Bohrok Kal. Thankfully I was able to bum them off a neighbor when he moved out for college but he lost Pohatu's Mata mask AND THAT'S MY FAVORITE ONE

Probably my favorite Bionicle waves are Piraka,Inika,Barraki,Mahri,Phantoka,Mistika,Glatorian, and Stars since they were all my first introductions to Bionicle. I may have been born in 2002 but that doesn't mean I'd have to be fond of the first era Bionicle came out since I wasn't really that much of a Technic person back then lmao. Besides, the only thing I liked about the Mata-Metru era was some of their parts like the weapons and masks and the Miramax movie trilogy, nothing more.

While yes I was more hero factory I actually enjoy the og now looking at them now I would only really have most of these sets for moc building as they had so many unique amazing pieces. But I definitely prefer the ccbs building system. As for Bionicle 2008 is definitely the earliest of the series I can say I genuinely love
