I had a mimic follow me and my friends for a whole game. It was following us from moon to moon. It was even stalking us on the company building so we jumped it. (I don't know if it was the same mimic, but we all just assumed it was because it was on every moon we were on)

Fun fact: the coil heads CAN move while you're looking at it, it just doesn't want to as it enjoys the hunt (I think this is just an excuse made by the developer to explain how it moves while you're looking at it)
