I loved doing this a few years ago when everything was a lot glitchier. Thorns 32767 didn't kill some mobs and knock back 32767 deleted the mobs but left their drops where you hit them. The reason the max level is 32767 is because it is 1 below a power of 2, and powers of 2 are the basis of coding, so most glitches in games have something to do with powers of 2. It's too complicated to explain it fully while typing in a tablet.

To be fair, an iron shovel with Efficiency 3 will break dirt blocks instantly, and grass and gravel almost instantly. And a diamond pickaxe with efficiency 5 can do non-ores almost instantly, except for Obsidian. Going beyond what is possible in legitimate survival doesn't really improve anything. (Referring to efficiency specifically, not the other enchantments.) Although Efficiency 10 on something like a stick or a shears will allow you to break anything. Certain multiplayer survival challenge courses have done that kind of thing before.
With the knock back 32000 or whatever the animals don’t diasapear that actually get sent flying put it in 0.25 playback speed and you see then fly away
