Pia Wurtzbach’s majestic diamond crown is my favorite The crown is adorned with 311 pieces of diamonds, 5 pieces of blue topaz, 198 pieces of blue sapphire, 33 pieces of crystal, and gold. That came out in I believe in 2015
@@dodomka7837 hahaha I always thought it was dumb to have a miss world and miss universe. Unless they're secretly hoping aliens would show themselves to enter miss universe 🤣 I would bet on Miss Uranus
13:17 im glad they changed the announcement style starting 2011 where they announce the winner first before the first runner up. the previous announcement style was so anti-climactic where the country that did not win is the one you hear more being announced.
1975's winner Anne Marie has this innocent and humble look yet she's stunning!!! A true natural beauty indeed, from the inside to the outer appearance.
Hello, then, please tell Karen Diane Baldwin that I send her my respectful and cordial greetings. She was my favorite from the beginning, I remember that she was the most beautiful in the 1982 edition, and she is one of the most beautiful in the history of the contest. It was a very well-earned crown, she did deserve that triumph. A hug to you and to Karaen Diane Baldwin from Cali, Colombia. Kevin Artemo Casanova Santini González
@@UlrichW-mm8yz …it’s in the name. Soft as opposed to harsh or angular, words also used to describe features. For example, women tend to have far less large and less pronounced features than men do. Men have noticeable brow ridges, sharper jaw lines, bigger heads, bigger noses, etc. Women’s features are, therefore, softer.
She was my idol growing up, the kind of role model a growing girl looks up to. She at a young age, even adopted a baby girl and then a few years later got Indian law changed so that she could adopt another baby girl. She didn't pay too much at her bollywood acting career and instead focused more on humanitarian work, especially things to do with women's rights.
I knew about Jennifer Hawkins, but I was pleasantly surprised to see we had another winner in the 70's too. I was born in 1989 so that's why I hadn't heard of her, she's absolutely beautiful too, then again all the winners are.
@@zrinkaperisic9379 Lol, I agree. Was not impressed with many of the Scandinavian or Asian countries, though there was a Canadian, Kiwi, and a few of the Americans that were really 'fresh' faced and lovely.
Well now we know that Miss Universe 2022 was R'Bonney Gabriel (USA) (oldest entrant to be crowned) and Miss Universe 2023 is Sheynnis Palacios (Nicaragua) (The 1st Nicaraguan to win Miss Universe).
The Japanese judge did not vote for Akiko. He said she was not "esthetically pleasing" to him. I guess the other judges had a different opinion. I was a child but I watched the night she won. During an offstage interview, she said she didn't think she would win.
I remember watching a compilation like this when i was 16 and had terrible acne and damaged hair from dying it too much... boy, i was so depressed when i finished the video, im 21 now and my skin has cleared and my hair is fine!! Just saying if you’re a teen dealing with these issues, if you don't like your skin and your hair, acne gets better, it clears out and as you grow older you learn how to take care of you hair and not to damage it so much... it gets better, one day you'll feel comfortable in your own skin ❤
Bob Barker starter being the EmCee in 1967. He made the show exciting. The first Black Contestants were not allowed until 1970. Miss Venezuela, Miss Puerto Rico and Miss USA have won the most titles
So till 1967-68 they all actually remained calm and poised at the time of crowning and remained graceful till the very end. After that it was all about.. how wide can I open my jaw!
Gladys Zender ...Miss Perú ganando el Miss Universo en 1957...Me hace pensar en que Perú a parte de su deliciosa gastronomía, también ha resaltado en los concursos de belleza y este concurso es una prueba de ello... 😊👍
Marlene Schmidt from Germany, 1961, is really lovely perfect, she looks like a 1930s film star, round face, large eyes, blonde hair, fair toned skin and a face of character. Very different from today's winners! She really stands out.
Lol, your comment looks strange, likely did not when you hit 'reply'. Blonde hair, fair toned skin, etc., isn't what makes someone perfect. I agree that she represents our Germanic race's features well, but your comment looks as if to imply this is the reason she is pretty--and that just isn't true.
Extraordinariamente bellas..Christian Martell de Francia 1953 y Silvia Hitchkoc de USA 1967... Triste decirlo... antes de tantas extenciones, cirugias y prótesis.
I met Chelsi Smith (Miss Universe 1995) here in Houston before her unexpected passing. She was just as charming and as down-to-earth as you could imagine. She was a first for all of us here - first Miss Houston to win both Miss USA and Miss Universe, and the first bi-racial Miss Texas USA. RIP, Chelsi! 🥲🥲🥲
India, Latino and asians very beautiful girls.... I really never see so lot beautiful woman. But first Japanese girl steal my heart, she so elegant and gentle
Was not impressed with the Orientals or the Latinas.... the USA winners were pretty, and many countries I noticed didn't allow their actual indigenous to compete, only the colonizers so that is an entirely next level of disgust.
A beautiful one I didn't know: Apasra Hongsakula 1965 The overall best candidates from the events I've seen: Sushmita Sen 1994, Lara Dutta 2000, Natalie Glebova 2005 The most memorable answer : Manpreet Brar, 2nd Runner-up 1995 for the final question
@@silverfoxdiva4780 Ok but I was mentioning her because someone else mentioned Aishwarya Rai who won Miss World in 1994, the same year that Sushmita Sen won Miss Universe
Em minha opinião, obviamente todas as misses são muito lindas, porém para mim a mais perfeita em beleza tanto física como espiritual, caráter, cultura e inteligencia foi Irene Sáez/ 1981/ Venezuela.
There's a 2015 controversial because Steve Harvey was wrongfully winner and crowned Colombia but she is the 1st Runner-up and the real winner is Philippines
🤣😂 Omg, I totally forgot about that, and he said it wasn't his fault. He made a mistake again at Miss Universe in 2019, mixing up the winner of the national costume contest.... 🤦
Thanks for putting this together. All lovely, of course, but I don't think some of the early 1970s winners were the most deserving. I was really disappointed with the judges choices back then. I also miss that grandiose, lovely crown from the 1970s-early 2000s. It's interesting to see that some of the winners from 20 years back didn't have absolutely perfect bleached or veneered teeth! They seemed much more naturally beautiful.
Big difference. In the past, there were no compliments or cheating. The selection was real. Also, the girls were naturally beautiful without plastic surgery. Now the selection mechanism has changed a lot.. we see black girls in European countries? And we see white girls in African countries? So, Unfortunately, beauty standards have changed for the worse now.
@@kfner23 That person mentioned some of the most beautiful and marketable Miss Universe ever in the history of this pageant so I don't see that as having a type
Oksana may be beautiful as you say but the fact remains that she was dethroned. She didn't want to continue her reign so that Russia's only win was aborted. Both she and Amparo Munoz were a disgrace. They should have realized they signed a year of commitment and dedication but ultimately failed to carry through on their pledge.
@@basilmanolakos4926calling Amparo who’s passed away a disgrace because she didn’t FULLY complete her reign? Really?? And to top that off she was never *officially* dethroned. Shame on you
