I think CA could bring in the Forest Goblin through a DLC in game 3, make them the playable Greenskin faction in the campaign with the goal of cementing their spider god as a real god. The campaign might be set around a dying god but nothing stops someone from trying to create a new one.

That’s actually a great idea! Having the local Greenskins trying to compete with chaos by bringing their own deity is an INCREDIBLY greenskin-style thing to do too aha.

CA and GW will never revisit either the forest goblins or the goblin spear-chucker as these are seen to be offensive to indigenous people.

I liking a lot of the missing units; the idea of the big stabba being a weapons team is cool and maybe make it a siege tool as well, while the with the black orcs since we already have great weapons why not make 1 other unit and give it the toggle to switch between duel-wielding and sword & board with the trade being just weapon damage or defence. I’m also hopeful for some more lores for the green skins so I’m all in for the Forest goblins.

i think Single entity for the big stabba. give it a good charge bonus, anti-large, and poor melee defence and missile resistance, make it cheap and easy to recruit, with low upkeep, and you basically have yourself a nice little meat missile for starter armies

He wouldn't be too similar in campaign, if done right. In battle, maybe, both are heavily armored and known duelists but Gorfang is pretty damn epic.

Really like these kind of vids~~ just a lil side note regarding Black Orcs: when you said that we only got the great axe version - actually the Krimson Killerz in fact are dual-wielding single hand weapons which makes their attack animation faster (or it let's them do more hits to be exact) resulting in more dmg versus infantry as their unit cards says (despite not being shown as a bonus anywhere)

I know your comment is a year old I just wanted to put it on the record that their attacks were actually slower than regular Black Orcs in Warhammer 2 and it resulted in much less damage and regular Black Orcs outperformed them every single time. They were never fixed.

Gorfang Rotgut and Morglum Necksnapper as LL! Also, and this applies to all races actually, I would still love the option of not only swapping weapons like you mentioned but also changing colors via reskins for theme purposes. For example playing a campaign as the Red Eyes, etc.

I think one potential Greenskin character for a future Greenskins Lord Pack could be Morglum Necksnapper to add more black orc stuff and maybe even the Colossal squig and he can face off against the Chaos Dwarfs or come as a FLC alongside the Chaos Dwarf race pack. Of course Gorfang Rotgut could come in nd take Black Crag while Grimgor moves to a new place in the Dark Lands

There is also one more character that would fit as a legendary lord or Hero. The black gobbo. Mostly because Grombrindal is in the game and it is weird that his arch Nemesis isn't in game.

I would say, of what you mentioned, the forest goblin set makes the most sense. They are the most unique missing units/heroes/lords and are therefore the most likely adds. Second to that is the squig based units.

I suspect that given the option too select from a Larger Pool of Heroes some players would gleefully build role playing Armies. Others like myself might be tempted to trait Farm. On balance though it would be nice to have the choices and options.

As a long time player adding bunch of units and lords for the theme sounds good to me but for new players it could be overwhelming to see all those different units. So perhaps they could be added to specific factions as normal recruitment and landmark only to others.

I agree i play SFO mod on warhammer 2 and i always thought it was pretty cool that they add units specific to some lords and with they would do that in warhammer 3 as well. Either adding units specfic to lords or adding more units that match that lords theme. For example, graum the paunch had orcs follow him for sure, but he the majority of his army was goblin focused. The game doesn't encourage you to use a goblin focused army nor does it give it graum specific units to actually feel like your playing a different green skin tribe/lord then any other. This can be applied to all the lords in the game where really only tehenhauin has a lot of encouragement to use specfic units (skinks) and every other lord at most gives small bonus to specfic units. I even think skaven should REALLY push you into using faction units. Skrolk should really push you into using clan pestilens units. ikit does a alright job at encouraging you to use skryre type units with his workshop and lot of people say that is one of the most fun campaigns you can play. i think most people would actually like if they pushed people to follow that lords theme and its almost already there because every faction has a lord that fits into each of its themes regarding their units.

The Squig Gobba did have rules which as a Forge World exclusive were downloadable as a pdf in the same vein as the Giant River Troll Hag or the Grimhorn Rhinox Riders. Those rules are still available as a pdf for Age of Sigmar but sadly the Warhammer Fantasy Battles version seems to have been deleted from the official site.

Honestly, I didn't think we'd get the Rogue Idol, I'm so happy we did But as someone who loves night Goblins to death what I wouldn't give for more squigs, the Colossal Squig as a glass Cannon anti infantry giant unit, Mangler Squig as a sort of chariot heavy cav hybrid, and the Squig Gobba as mobile artillery That would be so awesome

I liked this video, I’m glad you’re redoing this series! You’ve developed your skills a lot! 😁 I can see forest goblin big bosses or warbosses coming in as ranged sniper-type characters for the greenskins, as that’s something they lack at the moment. Not that they *need* it - i just think it could be interesting. I would also be a fan of Gorbad Ironclaw being added.

the monster herders in goblin and skaven armies are very different. A skaven herder is a specialist, pretty elite by skaven standards. Goblin herders are numerous and very expendable - there are tons of squig miniatures that depict the handler getting trampled or eaten. As for Mangler Squigs, the closest thing to random movement would be rampage.

There was this amazing post that had like 3 to 4 unique green skin factions and I liked it only because the green skins just seem to adapt to the environment they go warring in. All those unique looking green skin factions would be amazing

on the swarms, the biggest problem seems to be the movement animations. Nurgligs can keep up with standard infantry, but their animations are really wild - not sure that would work with snotlings, not to mention things like lizardmen snake swarms. They'd be either too slow, or utterly silly looking.

I'd imagine the Big Stabba to work a lot like the Skaven Warpgrinders. You wouldn't have a lot of entities and the attack and defense wouldn't be great, but you'd get obscenely high weapon strength (because it is a BIG stabba) and a really high anti-large bonus (because you aren't hitting anything small and mobile with that). So maybe like 20ish stabbas in a unit which would sit at 15-20 melee attack and defense but you'd have an anti-large bonus of 25-30 on top of maybe 100 WS which would be mostly AP. They wouldn't be very fast and they'd get butchered by any decently capable infantry unit (or ranged units) but any large monster or cav that got close to them would be in a world of trouble.

Thought for "Big Stabba". You could make it like an "Exploding Corpse", but for single entity units. Still gets wiped if you slam it into a formation, but does a lot more dmg if targeted towards a single entity

Not having savage orc lords, heroes and shamans is really crazy with Wurzag's faction as he's the only one that boosts savage orcs. Bonkers!! And the lord and hero selections are really odd with Orc warboss and gobbo big boss but not the opposite options!?! I'd love orc shaman lords with a wyvern mount, love the old 4th edition model (the one they originally subbed for Azhag in a WD battle report!) You missed night gobbo netta and clubba teams! A close range net spell would be awesome!

Great video, my only criticism is that you left out the Aracknorok variant with the Web Flinger Catapult which could be pretty interesting. Also not sure if you want to include missing mount options but Goblins had access to giant spiders (which is odd they didn't just make forest goblin characters for that) but an even more interesting mount was gigantic spiders which has a pretty cool model imo. Edit: you also missed the Night Goblin Netters which I could see functioning similar to nasty skulkers.

I agree, all of those would be great additions. The Arachnarok Web Flinger variant even had the parts necessary in the plastic kit to make it, you can still see it on the games-workshop store page in fact. I actually think gigantic spiders would work best as a unit of monstrous forest goblin cav. I know they were only a character mount option in the TT but I'd be okay if CA took that liberty. Night goblin netters would make pretty decent anti large goblins if implemented too.

@@acrazydutchman8683 Yes I completely agree about the gigantic spiders and was going to mention that idea (I vaguely remember hearing a rumour about GW having plans for that before they killed the old world, but might have been wishful thinking) either way not exactly a "missing unit" I could certainly see it being implemented though maybe as a new unit when the Old World comes out... otherwise if all else fails we have some fantastic modders.

There is was also Gorfang Rotgut. True he's "IN THE GAME" But just as a Genaric Orc Warboss Grimgor fights and has his Intro centered around In the first game. But if Azhag the Slaughterer has taught us anything, Is starting locations and things can change for game 3

DA ORKS IS DA BEST! WAAAAAGH! the destruction factions like ogres and greenskins are my most favorite factions in warhammer fantasy. I would love to see the missing greenskins come to warhammer 3. The spear chucker would be a fun artillery price to play with and the giant cave squigs would be amazing.

I have an idea for the big step the big spear thing. It can attack walls and does double damage against Gates. And of course if it's going to have those two things it's going to need Siege attacker.

There's a whole bunch more unique Gobbos can be put in if one rememebrs the White Dwarf article on them. Dust Goblins (undead Goblins blowpipe skirmishers). Fire Kobalds (fire spitting goblins, akin to the new Skink unit). Troglagobs (Squatic fighting goblins). Hill Goblins (elite goblins somewhere just below orcs). In a rare thing I will also say that one of the Orc AoS units would fit well even in Fantasy, the Gore Gruntas. They look VERY fantasy rather than the rest of the changed "orrucs" or whatever crap they've renamed them to. And it'd give them a proper scary monster cavalry, something direly missing in the greenskin roster. With even just one of the gobbo skirmishers, Big Stabba anti-large walls and Gruntas, it'd transform them as an army very well.

More Greenskins! But seriously I can't complain now I have my boy Grom but I'd love my second favourite Gorebad to get added for a cavalry faction! As for the others I'd like to see Spider Riders be able to climb walls, the squig lobba and the Savage Ork hero/lord characters personally

There is like 2 Greenskin factions that I know of that aren't included (to be fair I don't think they ever actually got fleshed out beyond like a single mention talking about goblin variants in one of the greenskin army books) and those are the fire kobolds (basically volcano living, fire/heat resistant and using goblins) and swamp trogs (basically aquatic variant of goblins). Other than their existence don't know anything about them, though it is fun occasionally thinking about what might sets these variants apart from standard goblin culturally (in particular what sort of mounts they might have and unique weapon choices/tactics. Non-canon ideas/thoughts at bottom. Other than them is the Hobgoblins. Still hoping they become their own faction but the absolute squashing of the great steppes above Cathay is almost a guarantee they won't. Which leaves them being collapsed into the Chaos Dwarf roster and maybe the Greenskin one as well. Would be disappointing but what can ya do. Thoughts on Fire Kobolds: Make heavy use of fire and heat in/on their weapons. Maybe slings that they use to launch oil soaked flaming pebbles, or some sort of siege weapon/that is kinda like a big slingshot but instead of launching stuff into the air it instead launches a rolling boulder (either of stone or a hollow one made out of wood or straw) covered in oil/tar and set alight. I could see their mounts being some sort of quadrapedal lizard like an IRL Monitor lizard or komodo dragon. Also certain of their weapons should have issues in an aquatic environment (such as that rolling boulder launcher) Thoughts on Swamp Trogs: For mounts my thoughts are either giant snakes, crocodiles or toads (though that might be a bit too nurgley, then again swamps are a great place to pick up a disease so maybe it fits well enough). Spears and Javelins as their weapons of choice though maybe also a variant with short range throwing nets (drops the targets speed dramatically for a short time) as either a oneshot range weapon or active ability. Maybe also give them the ability to hide in any terrain that would trigger the 'aquatic' trait to signify them use of their know-how to hide under the surface. To visually set them apart maybe have their green skin be splotchy with patches of mud and plants covering it to help them blend in better in their marshy home. Other possible themed monsters should be based around what can be found in a swamp.

The Big Stabber could have massive charge and bonus vs large but low unit size and no splash damage. Basically a melee weapons team that will one hit any model not at a monsters health level but will be doing massive overkill/waste damage when not against monsters as it only hits a very small (preferably 1) amount of units.

I just wish the forest goblins were more fleshed out as a subrace with they're own category of characters and also would like to see CA/GW do something with he black orcs as they currently only have a single unit and in TW they don't even have their defining mechanic/trait.

Scorpions Basilisks Squigoth and all other greenskins subfactions units like hobgoblin halforks swamp goblins noblars. Charachter gorefang rotgut, that savage ork warrior, tint4eyes and many others not mentioned in video.

To make the Squig Gobba unique I think it would be great if the ammunition, rather than detonating, got up and rage attacked the nearest unit for a bit. It would make it a great unit to harass ranged infantry.

They got everything they need for a goblin/monster dlc. New artillery, squig hero, gobbla sguig, colossal sguig, and mangler sguig. Add a new named goblin lord and maybe some night/forest goblin variants and we are good to go Also, add the big stabba. As a greenskin I am personally offended that you don't think the big stabba is needed for monster krumpin

One question.... What about the Gobbopalooza units for the greenskins? Gloomspite Gitz had them as a TT choice as playable heroes where if you wanted to bring a particular Gobbopalooza unit with your army, you had to bring all of the others, but available as lone hero units on the table (if i'm not mistaken). They would be a nice thing to see since Skarsnik mostly leads night goblins.

Way I see it, greenskins are very well suited to have many character choices. Lores of both Waaghh!s have their own respective uses and you could squeeze out a life/beasts caster out of the forest goblin shamans. The three orc types could be diversified pretty well - normal orcs could specialize in buffing with some mount choices, Savage ones could have options of dinosaur and other 'stolen' OP mounts and Black Orcs could not get mounts but be an incredible infantry combat option. On the other hand goblins also have a descent choice: night goblins have a good deal of armour incorporated into their robes (I want those scrap masks!) and are known of their crazy contraptions, Forest Goblins have a lot of spiders alongside poison and dps when normal goblins again focus on buffs with wolf mounts (and maybe chariots) would give them speed to support all sorts of crapstacks.

If we get nothing else for Greenskins, I hope we at least get a Savage Orc Great Shaman. Because: 1. There is currently no Lord tier generic Savage Orc characters. (Which is particularly immersion breaking when it comes to those random Skulltaker armies that pop up from time to time. And 2. There is currently no Lord tier generic Lore of the Big Waaagh caster. (A flying spell caster would be a huge boost to the Greenskin roster and would break up the current Goblin Great Shaman meta.) Perhaps it could ride a War Boar or Wyvern standing up, much the way the Sisters of Twilight do. Plus I really want to see a wyvern all done up in warpaint and bone totems, etc!

the mangla squig could be implemented as a new ability at the end of the support skill tree for night goblin lords you summon them and they move around like a vortex spell but it has health and attacks anything it comes in contact with

They could do something really near and have regional skins for goblins, recruit in a mountain region: night goblins, forest: forest goblins etc.

Personally if I where to craft a dlc for the greenskins I'd do this Legondary Lord Gorfang rotgut Gitilla da hunter as a hero Orc shamen and savage orc shamen Black and savage ork war bosses Goblin spear chukka Colossal squig Mangler spuig Squig gobba As or who I'd put them up against I'd personally go with ogres and jarred the hunter wit his mountain monsters and do a remaking of the battle on the fire mouth from the lore, After this at best mabye include them in a character pack and flc

Warhammer has always had historic characters in the rosters. They include them because they want to allow people to replay famous battles on the tabletop.

Regardless of ineffectiveness I automatically theme armies! Night goblin Warboss I'd paired with night goblin shaman and no orc units. Can't help it. Too thematic. So even just the option of differing skins for units/lords would be welcome!

Honestly? In Gorbad's case it's actually said that his fate was, just like Grom's, uncertain (though in Grom's case he got canonically captured by Eltharion, tortured to death, chopped up and then each piece fed to a magic furnace by The Grim Warden just be sure he was deader than dead). Some Greenskins did say that he managed to escape and he's just preparing a new WAAAGH!!! So he could start out in the Dark Lands and being a proverbial thorn in the collective eye of the Dawi-Zharr. Also Nate you forgot about one more unit for the Greenskins. THE BONEGRINDER GIANT. The single biggest, baddest giant of them all. Not a simple reskin. Literally taller than normal giants and with better stats.

In my head Gorbad is still alive, but since the wound of the runefang he is unhable of leading waaaghs anymore and so he lives as a solitary wanderer, searching for a way to heal himself and get his revenge.

@@PoorManatee6197 Honestly it was never said if Gorbad did die from Dwarfs or not. The last time he was seen alive was him making a last stand against the Dawi whom he earlier wrecked their stuff. And here it's ambiguous if he did survive or did the stunties slew him. And if they did, they ain't telling. THUS THIS ALLOWS HIM TO BE ADDED INTO THE GAME. Grom also had this ambiguity before the Eltharion story where the latter reaped vengeance on The Paunch. Azhag was also dead but he was added in regardless (same with Grom). So there is literally no problems with them adding Grimgor's predecessor.

Maybe the big stabba could be an ability for some savage ork units like the nightgoblins have, they just run in a strait line and could have two abilities or situations: when they ran into a unit formation they could disrupt them and do some damage and should it hit a monster seized unit they would deal massive damage

I think an extra question you need to be asking yourself in these vids is "what does it add to the roster?" Because much of this sounds like flavour or overlap which both can and should be left to modders.

If players want to pay for official work that only gives flavour that’s their choice. Not everything is about meta and Balance most campaign players want these units to role play/ theme different armies as great book said.

@@chrisspink8873 my thinking was it's better to keep the devs focused on outright new mechanics and roster holes rather then spend time on flavour so modders ultimately get more to work with. Sure I want to run a whole black orc or night goblin army but why should that be on the devs when theres modders with greater passion and understanding of the setting around?

Lord wise Mixxu fixes a whole lot with his lord mods and in terms of unit mods there are a S@#$ TON of those that add stuff like the Chimarat (i hope i spelled that right) and the burrowing horror for Skaven as well Chaos God themed units for both Chaos warriors and Beastmen. Also it looks like a bunch of these modders (that i asked questions for) will move their mods over to TWW 3 once that comes out so we are covered there

Well, it would be great if they reintroduce Kobold, has an goblin-like creature with fire based power, like in the white dwarf article. It's would great to watch, but I don't know this would be very balanced. Has legendary heroes, well their Grimgor right hand : Borgut Facebeater would be a great choice.

The thing i always wanted for forest goblins is a male version of the giant spider, which would be a monstrous unit made of multiple smaller giant spiders.

I would make the Big Stabba like a slow shock cav unit, a really high AP, anti large with a very big charge bonus but low low melee defense and just retreat and charge in again.

Character pack idea: Each new legendary character comes with 2 or more new units in these mini packs. These new units are thematically related to the new character. These character packs may also include a mini rework for their race

Only new units I see here are the spearchucker,snotlings (swarm like nurglings),and colossal squig. Weapon variants shouldn't be considered new unit by the community,if you don't want to buy dlcs filled with reskinned variant units.
