That's called a cdrama 🤣 clothes and status hardly match. Sometimes they even make the actors wear the same clothes over and over again.

I think it's more of looking good, but not looking better than the one hosting the party, so as to not dress better than the granny, so they might be purposely dressed more plainly. All the other grannies also seem to be wearing more traditionally styled clothes, which sometimes emphasise on simplicity and quality of material rather than extravagant details/patterns. But like also there are a lot of people so maybe they just didn't have the budget to dress everyone luxuriously. They don't look all that bad so 🤷‍♂️

@@q.moonlight7479 the show is a mess. Just warning you. I'm on ep 6 and it's boring. ML is just stupid and a hypocrite always yelling at FL without even listening. The 2nd ML that is sichen's friend, he's completely dumb and they're pairing him with his secretary who is smart, both intellectually as well as knows to pull a punch. Makes no sense to pair those two. Just cuz he's rich and good looking 🤣🙄 I liked the other guy, the one she was friends with in school. He offered her a job as well, a job related to her expertise. And he's kind and smart. But obviously he won't get the girl 🤣

As much as I know, by reading Chinese novel and watching Chinese drama. Girls don't change their maiden name and often called by their full name with maiden surname or Miss (their maiden name). Mrs (their husband's surname) or taitai or furen is very formal way to call a married woman. It was compulsory in old time but in modern time, not that necessary, specially if you don't want to sound very formal.

In China, when a women get married, they do not carry their husbands family name.

In Chinese culture after marriage, Ms maiden family name or Mrs husband family name or Madam maiden family name are all used. But Mrs or Madam is more commonly used.

What's funny is that in anglo culture the woman CHANGES her name and basically her identity like in the middle ages, you know like when a woman was just PROPERTY? Same with slaves... This isn't practiced everywhere. In China, Latin America, Spain and many other countries women keep their family name forever, there's no need to change your name... Keep feeding the patriarchy 🙄

Encontré los capítulos completos (duran 45 minutos cada uno y son 24 en total) subtitulados al español en una aplicación que se llama WeTV. Me encantó. Ya la he visto 2 veces! La química entre ellos es muy intensa. La historia es inocente y muy emotiva. La recomiendo 100%
