what i love about the guard telling you how to defuse the bomb is that it sounds like he’s actively critiquing the terrorist who made it like the bomb to him looks so sloppily put together, he’s more concerned about how it looks rather than being blown up

Dude I OWN a 1953 CZ-52, eastern bloc czech handgun, its been through some shit, still shoots completely straight, especially at that distance. ANY sort of rifle they’re using would hit its intended target at that range, even with basic training. I just always assumed there is a lot more going on that the game doesn’t show, terrorists taking cover behind cars, people being shot but not stopping, esc.
He is a war veteran, besides the weapon he is given is a hunting rifle, (due to the little ammunition he has, it is my best guess) so it is more reliable than the rifles of the guards, who owe remittances or reserves for civil defense. Many of the weapons delivered to civilians were not very reliable, so they expected them to shoot, as muchas they could that would eventually give someone or keep them at bay.

This is what was terrifying about this game. You're pretty much living in a life of monotonous routine, a family to feed, living on a shit salary, and working at the edge of your seat, since you're a border guard between two nations ready to claw at each other's throat, you're basically in the middle of them both, stamping passports quietly. The routine suddenly shatters as you hear the buzzing alarm, and see intruders shooting down the guards, and is walking up to your booth next. This game, though not up there with the greats, definitely knows how to immerse you and have you play your role as a simple border guard who stamps passports. Glory to Arstotzka.

There is more action at this checkpoint than in the war. I fought in Kolechia for 5 years. If you think it is bad in Arstotzka, it is ten times worse in Kolechia.
I mean most of terrorist doing surpise attack and blend in with the civilian, which make the guards not suspicious and off guard, when happen, the terrorist take this advantage to throw a first shot, while the guards itself is stunned in the chaos.

“Fun” fact: For the suicide bombers, the Inspector doesn’t tell them to “Cause no trouble.” Plus, you can’t deny them entry. They’ll always have all their papers in order, and if you deny them entry then the next one will also be a suicide bomber. You eventually have to let one in.
these guards really miss a shot on a running terrorist literally going over the wall that is 5 feet away from them, while an inspector simply use one bullet.

I know for the poison powder, if you deny the person when you powder their passport, the crowd of people take the poisoning and panic. Only one I didn’t see.
If you kill the EZIC attackers after they lay the bomb, EZIC wins but you're ousted for your last minute betrayal. If you kill the bomber before he lays the bomb but not the bottom gunner, the bottom gunner kills you.
If you help Ezic and didn't do anything on day 31= both you and Ezic wins. Attacker will spare you since you are on their side. If you help Ezic but shoot the bomber and spared the attacker= both lose. You die. Attacker attacks you for betraying Ezic. Help Ezic but shoot attacker and spared bomber = Ezic wins. You lose. Ezic calls you out for treason. Help Ezic but shoot attacker and bomber= both Ezic and you lose. You will be executed for helping Ezic and Ezic calls you out for treason. Didn't help Ezic and spared the attacker (regardless of what happens to bomber)= you lose. You die. Attacker will always attack you if you did not help Ezic Didn't help Ezic but shot attacker and spared bomber = Both you and Ezic lose. You will be punished for failing to defend border. Ezic does not call you out for treason because you never sided with them in the first place
It will get you an "ending" (which is more like a gameover) where you get detained for harming an innocent, and the sentence depends on what weapon you've used (forced labor for tranquilizer rounds and death sentence for live rounds).
@@velocilevon Would that be after the revolution, or would it overwrite your progress to that end and lead to a game over with the normal government ? By all means those people moving in were illegally crossing the border, especially after a terrorist attack, so probably Ezic members between them.
@@robertromanul2212 Any time there's a terrorist attack, if you shoot anyone else other than the criminal, it will get you a game over where you're being arrested. It happens immediately after the day is over, so you'll have to replay it. Doing this here will lead to the same results.

I have a question about Day 31: what if you help the EZIC throughout the game and choose the self escape option instead? Might be the wrong video to ask tho.
What's funny is that on day 21, there is a chance that sergiu will hit the motorcycle before you can react, which is just absolutely amazing. Happened to me once, so don't bother saying it doesn't happen. It can happen, but it most likely won't.
i wonder what would happen in day 6 if you dont let anyone in. (supposing you dont game over or something) also is the perpetrator the same person everytime? can you stop it in a future playthrough?
Nope it's not possible, I believe they're the 7th entrant on that day, and if you keep denying them the next person will be the suicide bomber till you lose all your money from citations
