This goes off in my head sometimes. About 12pm usually lol

I never understood why the show changed its theme AGAIN in 1995. They had a winner here.

Felicia Behr, if I recall, was also the last EP to helm Ryan’s Hope. She was amazing.

She was a wonderful producer for AMC!!

​@@DeepScreenAnalysis The show has its 25th Anniversary in 1995 that's why the theme was changed. I like the upbeat version of the 25th Anniversary theme. I like the 1990 theme as well. Both kept the continuity of the AMC brand.

@@realbrown3723 if you keep changing the theme tune that’s not maintaining continuity or being on brand, that’s what negatively affected AMC against competitors like Days and Y&R, which never changed their themes.

My favorite soap storyline ever has to be Nat in the well/Janet from another planet ( Kate Collins version )

I think it even bested Y&R the week Janet held Hayley hostage in the Chandler Mansion. This show was on FIRE in the summer and fall of 1991! 😃

A lot of big soap characters got "killed off" in 1990. Reva Shayne Lewis from Guiding Light, Hope Williams Brady from Days of Our Lives and Tad Martin from All My Children all got killed off that year. They would all be gone for a few years. Tad came back first.

Sorry for your loss. This show brings back memories, my mom would watch it in her front room area as I played Nintendo in the living room area of our apartment while my Dad was either at work or in his room watching a Bears game or some movie. Good times

Maybe. But she might be able to pull it off and keep some what of the original format going. It will be interesting to see if soaps can find a new home in primetime. Latin American soaps do very well in primetime.

the writer they hired to write the primetime show is from Britain and never saw an episode of AMC. That does not bode well.

This All My Children theme was composed by Billy Barber. When it was brought back in 2002 as a new version,the credit listed both Billy Barber & Robert Israel (of Score Productions) as composers

It definitely has a Dave Grusin sound to it. Maybe it’s the sax? It sounds like his music for Tootsie.

Holdridge was the composer on both themes from 1992's "champagne commercial" and 1995's Faces of Llanview 2.0. But he didn't have anything to do with the Dave Grusin OLTL theme of the 80's.

@mcw117 Well there is a seller on Ebay that was selling classic All My Children, One Life To Live, General Hospital, Loving and other soaps DVD box sets. However these are taken from video tapes and transferred to DVD and the quality varies from pristine broadcast quality to lower quality with some flakes and sound drop outs etc. It even includes promos from other soaps. I have the All My Children Best Of the 90's box set which is from 1990-1992. It's O.K. but a couple of the discs don't play. It has over 125 episodes on 50 DVDS. It comes housed in a nice hairloom clam shell box with artwork. My copy cost about $49.99. 🤗💽🙏👍
