All my friends are toxic // Vent // 

Summary: This is a true story that happened to me. Please read this comment before responding. This is a VENT post, so no trauma dumping your problems And no saying insensitive things like “FIRST” or things that have nothing to do with the vent. These comments are for other videos, but not for vent posts. Anyway, whatever [Warning: VERY long. If you can’t read all of this. Scroll right past this.] Last school year, In 10th grade, I befriended these three girls who at the time, we were all close friends. I Got involved in a clique, and I hung out with them outside of school through texting. It was fun at first, with everyone getting along. But by the time spring rolled around, the group started collapsing. Most of the people I was friends with turned out to be a bunch of fakers. My one friend, who just graduated this year, turned out to be a major drama queen, who starts unwanted drama and gossip for no reason. She ended up gaslighting me, manipulating me and others for her own benefit. She also belittles me because she’s the popular girl in school and is loved by everyone for being fake, yet I’m judged for being real. My other friend, who is my age, fakes depression and trauma dumps on me. She would treat me as a therapist for her, but I can’t relate because I’m not her and I don’t know what she’s going through. I’m not the best at giving out advice aside from “I’m sorry you’re going through this. I hope things will turn out alright one day.” And that’s it. Sometimes it’s good to vent when you’re sad or you need a helping hand. You need a shoulder to cry on, and that’s ok and perfectly healthy! I don’t have a problem for her venting her feelings and trauma if I ask her if everything is okay, but the problem is that she kept venting to me every single day to the point where I couldn’t put up with it anymore. She also uses her problems as a way to make me feel bad for setting boundaries because she needs my help. I took up the burden of being her Therapist to the point I could not handle it anymore. When I said I can’t do this anymore, that I am not available at her beck and call 24/7, She says guilt-trip words like “But I would do the same for you…” or in some cases, point at the blame at ME and say things like “You’re the reason I have no friends!” Or “you’re the reason I’m lonely!” And then threaten to leave. And lastly, my friend who is a year younger than me, cancels plans with me frequently and uses excuses for why she won’t show up. She’s also absent to school and says things like “Oh sorry I couldn’t hang out! I was busy…” That’s her go-to excuse, and it’s clear he doesn’t want to talk to me or be around me. I try to spark up a convo with her, but she doesn’t want to engage in it. When I asked her why, she uses her autism as an excuse. I have autism, but I don’t use it as an excuse to avoid conversations. All in all, my friend told me “You need better friends.” But it’s not that quick and easy and I am drowning in the toxicity I’m surrounded in. And sometimes I feel like I’m better off all by myself, without anyone. I’ve never had friends throughout my whole childhood, And I’d rather have no friends than be around fake friends
