1:18 man's name is Orlando, he never liked the beatles much, so the first time he could take his wife to see paul he didn't. His wife died before the second chance to see Paul, so he bought two tickets but came alone. All my loving was his wife's favourite song. Not much people knows that story, is very sad
The crying man was going to go to this concert with his terminally ill wife as a present. Sadly she passed away prior, he still attended...my heart to his, my good man.
the crying guy at 1:22.. i forgot where i saw it but he was interviewed after the concert, he said his wife passed away and it was her favorite song ( or their song).
It was the 'photo' of the guy (crying) that made me 'go' to this FOOTAGE (in the 'FIRST PLACE'). When I 'saw' the PHOTO...I asked (myself) "WHY is a 'guy' crying (at a Beatles' concert)?". Now...it 'ALL MAKES SENSE'!! Great story.
+George Vreeland Hill Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, George Gershwin, Billie Holliday, Louis Armstrong and a host of others are reasons for the unborn to someday wish they had lived in their time. Every generation has great music.
+Montana Dan Sure. Obviously it's a subjective topic but The Beatles definitely have the highest number of total certified units sales. It's hard to argue they are not the most famous band ever. He's definitely made the most money than any other music star - Andrew Lloyd-Webber is not really a pop star. The only other comparable names are Elvis and Michael Jackson.
Absolutely. I’d love to know what he is reacting to : --- thinking back to his youth and how much he loved The Beatles ? Thinking back about a relationship where The Beatles were the soundtrack ? Is in love with Paul ? -- nah nix that one -- I’m just wondering. Like I said in a previous comment -- when I saw Ringo perform about a year ago --- As he came out on stage --- I was catatonic just staring like in a trance -- remembering how much I was in love with The Beatles - Ringo specifically -- seeing them as a pre-teen in 1964 -- and here it is 50 years later and I’m looking at Ringo again ? I was just flooded with memories -- my childhood, my best friends, The Whole “Beatlemania” thing. Still have all my Beatles loot -- magazines - jewelry, just lots of Beatles’ stuff. I will never part with it. Just might have to be buried with it. 😂😂😂😂
I'm always amazed by fan reaction at the concerts the two remaining Beatles. I'm an Usher at several Boston venues. What amazes me is the ages of the attendees. Anywhere from 10 yrs, 10 yes to the 80 year range. Amazing because 90 % weren't even born til after they broke up. The 10 year old was expert in the Beatles, knew every song and the lyrics, too. That girl was at a Ringo show at the Wang theater and it was quite a treat for me to talk Beatles with her and her Mom. The Beatles and their solo acts have been bringing me pleasure, happiness and great music for over 50 years. God bless them all!
Cool, I think the first material of bands are the best This is my favorite Beatles song. A friend of mine said she didn't get what was so great about the Beatles,? and I told her "oh yeah, just look at the crowds reaction... fainting and stuff.
@@lilybond6485 they sing about things that actually happens in people's life. that's why it's so easy for us to fall in love with their songs. And the lyrics sounds like something you'd say in a conversation, instead of a poem or a poetry like
@@daveumbrella Yeah, you're right. But it's also more than that. The Beatles were the first ones for many things. After years of war and destruction, the Beatles were the first group to spread jolly and catchy songs all around the globe. Even there, where people were not allowed to listen to them. And, at least in my opinion, there is indeed some kind of so-called "magic" to them too. Like a one in a billion chance for these guys getting together and produce something wonderful. I don't want to say others artists of their time were bad, but with the Beatles, there's always this special something.
As a kid(starting at age 12) growing up in the inner city in the early 80's, i was teased and ridiculed for listening to the Beatles. "If you're black, you dont listen to the Beatles" they would say. Well i'm 50 now and i still listen. I listened to rap, hip-hop, soul and R&B but i never strayed from the fab 4. I listen to them today despite my wife hating the Beatles too. She'll be okay though.
Nice story elwin...the one thing the black and white races can enjoy together is music...of which, the black race has the definite natural ability more so than whites (on average that is). I love a lot of black music...it's a very very sad story though how all this mumble rap crap is ruining the youth, their mind and soul. Alas, enjoy the Beatles and the recordings they left us. Peace bro
I’m 73 and I’ve seen him perform with the Beatles and with wings. I can’t tell you, no words to describe the impact they had on every aspect of society. Unimaginable how big they were then.
+austin teutsch Not just that, Paul McCartney is also in the absolute highest ranks in 3 specific sub-areas, at least tied for GOAT as: Songwriter - Vocalist - Bassist. And when I say Greatest Of All Time, remember that nowdays, there are vocalists that can wail way beyond what he ever did, but virtually none back then, and huge numbers of greats who say that he was their biggest influence, And he would say that Little-Richard was one of his biggest influences Bass Players all know that Paul was a major Bass player in his time, and probably a lot of credit for this goes to George Martin(probably songwriting too)
Yo bullshit for someone believe on that conspiracy not gonna I was one of them I search so many on the internet even go through dark/deep web just ro find clues paul was dead you know what ? Evidence just not strongh enough. I believe from all my research and being one of the conspiracy theory group I will say paul is still alive
Nah that’s Faul. Faul was introduced in the 60’s while the real Paul was alive. Faul did interviews while Paul sat in the back and he also did some live performances as well. There’s a video about it on RU-vid, that involved Paul’s death and how the media was tricked with how Faul played Paul so well. The British MI5 was involved and Paul’s death was needed for The Beatles. Even George Harrison spoke on this while being interviewed, sadly George’s death came right after he mentioned it and he died shortly after he was going to say the truth.. Long live John, (The Real) Paul and George!!
I saw Paul twice and remembered having tears in my eyes at his last concert in 2017 in Australia. Took me back to being a kid in the 60’s his shows are incredible.
I first saw Paul in 1993 in Melbourne at the MCG. Listened to his sound check, then he came off the stage to say hi to our group. In the rush of the crowd, I was pressed up against his side for an amazing and wonderful 4 minutes! When he sang Hey Jude later in the concert, I cried. I came back from California for his concert in 2017 in Melbourne, to go with a good friend. As he started Hey Jude, I looked across the aisle and saw two 20-something guys with tears streaming down their faces. That's the power of this wonderful and magic music!!
For those who are wondering why the man @1:17 was crying: Somebody wrote this in the comment section a few years back: "That man is my uncle. His wife passed away a few years ago. This was their favorite song. " I guess now you know why the man was crying :)
Saul Cope the fact that Sting and fucking JPJ are the ones you reference when referring to “virtuoso” bass players tells me all I need to know about your musical knowledge. Get back when you learn a thing or two.
I can easily understand the emotion of the crying man, hearing a song that you used to hear when you were 15, and now you're 50/60 and you see the legend that you loved all your life performing the same song after 50 years, it reminds you all those forgotten memories from you childhood, it's incredible
Oh, yeah! It may have also been a special song he may have had with his wife....possibly she passed away? I get like that when a song reminds me of someone who has passed over =)
I was fortunate enough to be able to see The Beatles live at Shea Stadium, and Wings at Madison Square Garden, and Paul (after Wings). I was ten years old when I first saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. That show, and The Beatles, changed my life forever.
I understand he is Planning a U.S. tour. Don't know when, but I think it will be his last tour. He's in his Mid-Seventies. So make sure you get tickets, when he releases his schedule.
It's a guy that got interviewed and said that this was his wife and his favourite song and they loved listening to it, but she died, so it makes him sad to listen to it because it reminds him of her.
the song, the old footage on the big screen, the fact that grown men and women, kids and teenagers are in the same room singing along with a wonderful human being like paul. this whole blend makes me cry. i just love this thing ♥️
Saw him in México in 2010 and 2012, the 2012 concert was even better and it was the best concert I've ever been too without a doubt. His incredible music and awesomeness will never get old, we can all garantee that.
I was there that night too; it was held at the Liberty Bowl or was it the old Colosseum. Damn weed...I'll go with the first offer. Nevertheless, it was a great concert.
GTown Dave Do not remember what the stadium was called but I do know that it was the same stadium the Beatles played in when the Klu Klux Klan came and protested their performance because of a misinterpretation of one of Mr. Lennon's comments.
RIP James Paul McCartney who died before Lennon and Harrisson. People who have not done their research laugh at this like the fools they are. It has already been proved that "Sir Paul" is not the real JPM.
I love the crowd’s unbridled joy. That’s what their music is. Nothing has changed in terms of people’s unvarnished love of their music since they started. How wonderful! 🎶❤️🎶
I react like that whenever I have gone to Paul's concerts, I cry because it brings back memories of me being 17 when the Beatles first came to the U.S. and how much FUN I had then, it was a fantastic time in my life and I MISS it, I MISS those days and all my family that was around then, it was just a happy time, much happier time than now.
I’m 69 and I shed a tear too- Paul was my favourite Beatle as a teen and seeing this made me sad for my lost youth and wish I could turn the clock back and enjoy all four lads playing together again. Bless you Paul! Xx and the Gentleman showing some emotion which was what Paul’s music and the rest of the Beatles music could do to you! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙋♀️💕😘🎄🎄
I was lucky Helen.we seen him at Dodgers Stadium in 2019. I she'd some tears.I am 62 and remember playing 45s on the front lawn in 69. Using my older brothers old portable zenith record player.
Since I was a little boy and heared The Beatles for the 1st time, I have had "Beatles periods" from time to time. Now a new Beatles period have started for me - and I'm feelin' swell! To listen to The Beatles is a part of my life, and is an important part. Love The Beatles.
Just to say the same is happening to me. I mean, the periods. Never stopped loving them but there are periods where i like more, periods I don't care that much, though admiring them. Since 64. But their music never sounded so wonderful as now. Lke magic. I feel like crying all the time I listen to them now. And I still discovered new things as if I am listening for the very first time. Love the Beatles so much!
I'm afraid I'd be like that guy all overcome with emotion. I would just remember this from when I was like five years old and hear my older sisters playing the Beatles. Happy carefree times when you're a little kid are pretty powerful memories.
+Jeff Morse True enough... as far as that goes but there was a lot of other good music back then but is was really only the Beatles who inspired such a depth of feeling that really hasn't diminished for those who grew up with them while they were together.
+Jeff Morse I think you definitely have something there. I was in elementary school when the Beatles came out. They were so much fun and everybody loved their music. I feel like they respected their fans and we loved them for it. I don't feel that way about any other group like I do about the Beatles. Happy, happy memories!
+Nancy B I've been completely obsessed with The Beatles for like three years now... And when I saw Paul come out and sing a hard day's night last week at his show in Sioux Falls, I was cheering at first then I thought in my head- oh my god... That's Paul McCartney. One of the members of my favorite band ever. And I was in tears bawling. It was amazing
when we were kids. my dad used to sing this song before we go to bed, he sang it as if it were a lullaby. Didnt realize it was a beatles song until years later. I miss you dad 💔
How beautiful - you were blessed! 💖 I used to sing to my kids at bedtime every night until they were preteens. My son selected "Sunshine on my Shoulders" as our mother of the groom dance at his wedding two years ago... I hope I'm blessed enough that he'll remember that song like you remember this one after I'm gone 💕
01:18 HERE I AM.... GREETING FROM A VERY SMALL BUT CHARMING CITY IN SOUTH AMERICA... HOW LUCKY ALL THESE FOLKS ARE, ENJOYING THIS CONCERT.... SIMPLY AWESOME.... I'M SPEECHLESS... 🙃🙂😉
I really did , I also cried the last time Sir Paul was here, We had Our Children , and Our grandchildren, Sir Paul pointed us out, as being 3 Generations to attend. He is coming back next month and we are doing it again.
YES!!!! I know how he felt because last week Paul was here in Spain... It was amazing... I cried like a baby girl, and I'm still crying because it seems like a dream... PAUL 4EVER!! BEATLES 4EVER!!!!!!
You probably don't know why he was crying but, if you check the Net, you'll find out that this was he and his wife's favorite song and she had died several years before this recording.
I'm so glad we got to see him in St Louis back in 93. When he played this song it was like going back in time to the 60's. What an incredible show. ☮️❤️🎶
I went to his " Out there" show, in Paris, 2 years ago I'm 55...and I felt quite old !! I didn't expect to see so many youg people, even less young teens...just amazing !!!
This song is enough to make me cry too! I remember how there was sometimes 'magic' around then, and the boy I once was felt there was magic in "The Beatles"...something they did not know themselves.

All my loving is a classic. One of my favorites. McCartney said, that when they wrote the ”middle 8" in the song, he knew they had developed in their songwriting.
""Moon, June, Spoon, Croon..." "Away, Day, Kissing, Missing". Holy crap! I just wrote a song!

I meant the composition of the song. It´s genius.. I´ve heard it so many times live and on cd/Spotify/RU-vid and yes even vinyl=) You know you agree with me.. I get goosebumbs everytime I hear that song. And in my view, that´s is the ultimate Beatles sound. Johns Rhythm guitar playing is really advanced. Doesn´t appear to be. But If you are a guitar player like I am. You know that Lennon was an underrated guitar player. The rhymes are mediocre but more so are you, for even comparing yourself with Lennon- McCartney. What songs have you ever done? I´ve lived my entire adult life by my earnings as a songwriter. And I have never heard of you. You really wan´t to start an argument with me over a song you seem to like.. Maybe you are crazy....

And John and Paul, especially John knew they were special.. John thought of himself as a genius before he even made a song. So your comments are wrong on top of the post.
Invictus - André Wall I was making an effort to be amusing! As in "Ha-ha! (The song would "All My Loving" would sound like a 'romantic dirge' w/o the benefit of John's driving rhythm...and YOU KNOW IT.) I don't write songs...I write stories. Paul thinks far too much of himself in recent years...he started his solo career re-writing 'Beatle' tunes to suit himself...and then had the grand idea of 'new stuff' with "Wings" which really never went anywhere. (I don't care how well they did on tour or records sold...if "Beatle Paul" hadn't been involved, 'Wings' couldn't of gotten a booking in Cleveland or Sheboygan! ALL of the Beatle's distinctive 'sound/feel' stem directly from Lennon. Period. Paul is a 'lost cute puppy' without John. McCartney has been 'coasting' on his fame for the last forty years...he writes 'nice ballads' and that covers it. (Although his recent tune of "My Valentine" is nice...all he did was combine "My Love" thematic structure to "My Funny Valentine" and then present a 'new song!' Really? Is this a 'good romantic ballad?' Yes. Is this worthy of one-half of the greatest songwriting team in history? No. I expect and demand better from 'Macca' than re-writing his 'old stuff' and blending in someone else's 'old stuff'. If it were me...I rather quit then play the same old shit! ****** You write songs? Make money at it? Good on you! (I may not be one the 'Fabs'...it doesn't mean I don't know my stuff...I'm better than Epstein ever was...and at least as good as George Martin!)
+Michael Farwick Yeah man! Never forget these songs on the AM radio when I was about 7 years old. My brother of 15 years older than me used to take me cruisin' to the drive -in burger joint in his Chevelle! Never forgotten!
I love watching this vid, ppl are having such a great time, young and old.... Funny thing is the older women are still screaming like they did back than. ;-) Love to see ppl enjoying themselves with great music.
What I love about this concert is that it doesn't pinpoint a demographic; it is universal: kids, adults, teenagers, old folks. Everyone is having fun singing the song and dancing. You don't see many concerts, especially nowadays, that do this.
60's-70's-80's-90's-00's-10's makes it more like six decades, but Paul probably came here through a wormhole, traveling with a guy named Beethoven, so time is meaningless when you are discussing him.
I'm forty years old, but the Beatles and especially Paul, are an important part of my life. Even though I began to notice them in the early nineties, my memories are attached to "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" ,"day tripper", "strawberry fields"... I see Paul as a good old friend you can look at to in times of trouble, loneliness or just to chill out.
That voice, I was 6 yrs old when I saw the beatles on Ed Sullivan It is one of my first memories, and I have never been the same.I think that nobody's life has if they were alive at that time.I remember I was in the 1st grade and my dad had bought me a beatles pin in the shape of a guitar with a picture of their heads,my teacher took it away from me, and never gave it back. Bitch,I remember my older brother used to listen to all their 45's he was 10 yrs older than me, he ended up joining the Marines and going to Vietnam in 1968. got wounded and won the bronze star & Purple heart. but thats a whole other story. But The Beatles took the US by storm, nobody, I mean nobody has had that kind of effect on a culture than the Beatles in 1964.Elvis was ok but he hated them because they took away a bit of his thunder at that time.
ReaLove Love Well I'll take a stab at an answer. It's probably because we were not there to see it? This song probably reminds this guy of somebody or some time in his life Only he knows. But early Beatles songs have a tendency to do that. It did me and I shared the story. When I said Elvis was ok I wasn't dissing Elvis he was mega cool, But He was bigger with folks older than 6 by that time, like my mom, Elvis was the man and probably the biggest star ever. But the Beatles were for the younger cats just comin' up more that's all
Yes, I saw Paul two times on this tour.❤️That was in 2002. It’s like being at a Beatles concert even though so sadly John and George were gone and Ringo was not the drummer although Paul’s band was fabulous. I saw him again in September 2005 on my birthday in Miami. All My Loving was the VERY FIRST SONG the Beatles sang on the Ed Sullivan Show. 🎶🎤🎸🎹🥁
I'm 23 and I can't believe I'm crying! I love The Beatles. If I had been born back in those days and be able to go to one of their concerts, I would have died.
navy ye Those conspiracy tools are relentless and annoying af, it’s practically now an epidemic in itself! I’m totally done with those idiots polluting these comments! I swear that if it’s not the flat earthers, then it’s these PID turds and now it’s Qanon! FFS!! What’s happening? OLSK ZERI is the absolute worst, he trolls the comments just for fun, he told me as much when I sent him a message on his RU-vid channel. Look him up, maybe even leave him a couple thousand comments, he seems to enjoy comments. That Olsk Zero jackoff has now completely inundated the Carpool Karaoke comments section with his trolling. I’ve reported that turd to RU-vid several times, but they haven’t done a damn thing about his constant harassment of the new Paul McCartney or Beatles fans that only want to express their experience in a wholesome comment. 😡 I don’t know if it’s the times we’re living in, but I’m beginning to feel an overwhelming hate for these and sooo many others in 2020, it’s just Fu*king ridiculous that RU-vid allows their shit show to continue! RU-vid, WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO FINALLY REMOVE THESE IDIOTS!?!?
Hello, I hope you are doing well today. I'm Patti from Long Beach California, just looking for new friend and i saw your pic here Ok! Merry Christmas to you.
That girl at 1:28 is just about how old I was on 2/9/64. That memory and everything surrounding it burned vividly into memory and then just imagine having that every week from either Beatles or all the other great Brit and US music makers on into the mid 70's. I wouldn't trade that for all the money in the world......well, mayb.....nope, nope!
All I remember is Christmas morning with my mum and dad,i had a tiny kids guitar as a present,i was probably only about 7 0r 8 ish,All my loving was playing on the radio and that was my first memory of a song .I guess that's why to this day some 55 years later this song sends me back with a tear to happy days .x
I can remember wearing a blue gabardine coat, off to school when I was five, and Ticket to Ride belting out from a little transistor, under our black and white telly. I used to sing Ticket to RYE, cos I thought it was what they sang. Oh, almost sixty years ago ............
Today is the 40th anniversary of John’s death. Paul’s song - “All my loving” was playing in the Roosevelt hospital on the PA radio when John Lennon was pronounced dead. After all these years.....
John Lennon '' made '' that song. It was his frenetic rhythm guitar playing that gave the song its impetus and energy - its almost as if he were maniacally strumming / playing a banjo (as a salute to his mother) - as, after all, it was banjo chords that he was first taught by his mother Julia; and that's alll he knew until he met a certain P McC. . And, of course, the melodic fast-paced bass of P McC helped enormously !
Yes I thought that too although I don't know him I hope he draws some comfort from the song I lost my wife seven years ago I know what he's going through God bless him.
+jim connolly and God bless you as well. I let my wife know everyday that I will always be HER Man Whether She's On This Earth Or Not. and I know anything that reminded me of her would Soooo emotional but in a good way. I would never let the sands of time bury my memories of her..so I feel you my friend I truly do
No thanks necessary Ana. Thank you for asking. When Paul sang "Close your eyes and I'll kiss you..." he turned to his left looking for her I could only surmise. Heartbreaking.
People sometimes ask why McCartney is still touring. One look at this crowd of people should tell you. From 8 to 80, all standing, singing, dancing and clapping for 2 1/2 or 3 hours...it has to be a hell of an ego trip for him.
Ego trip? Perhaps. I believe the response he elicits stirs his soul. Paul's connection with his audience is so powerful it is religious in nature, except better in a way because it is purer. He is bringing many back to their youth and a time when all seemed possible for each of the older members at the concert. And for the younger members? A wish they had been of the 60's generation as they tune in to the powerful 60's vibe from the remaining giant of 60's rock/ pop culture....Paul Mc Cartney.
+RB Brown I think he's also one who enjoys making people happy. I think he never got over his sense of wonder that people really, really, really love his work. You can see the same look on his face in 1964 that he has to this very day.
I was eight years old when I went to see A Hard Day's Night at my local movie theater in 1964. The day the Beatles came to play at the Chicago Amphitheater in September 5th, 1964, I wanted to go so badly, but I was too young to go. I understand the man crying, finally getting to hear Paul McCartney sing All My Loving live. It was my favorite Beatle song in 1964. "Please Pease Me," was the first Beatle record played in America in February 1963 on WLS radio in Chicago. The Beatles played at the International Amphitheater on August 20th 1965 and at Comiskey Park for a day & night double header concert.
When I saw him live I burst into tears the minute he started singing. He is such an inspiration. I yelled out I love you Paul and he yelled back I love you too! Paul McCartney loves me 😍😍😍
Maggie M can you stop spreading nonsense this person is just trying to share a beautiful moment and you try to ruin it with the "Paul is dead" crap. That's very selfish of you.
You are so lucky to yell I love you to Paul and have him yell I love you too! I think I would have wanted to run up on stage and get a hug. I was at 2 of the Beatles concerts in 1964 and 1965. Those were the only concerts they gave in America. I was and still am completely in love with Paul. And I am happily married!! He knows. :)
No offense to the beatles, but they were like a boyband of the 60s, and 1 direction is a boyband of current days...of course the values changes, but is the same purpose, lyrics about love to entretain girls. In my opinion.
alohaforeveryone Funnily enough a lot of what is considered the more "credible" stuff these days started off with a young female fan base. Bowie, who's music I adore, is considered a "grown up" listen but back in the day he had his share of screaming girls, so you are right But, but, but....... these guys were also accomplished musicians, able to play & create amazing music THEMSELVES, they didn't have massive team of writers & performers behind them. Nowadays it's all about not having a face like a smashed crab & being able to hoof around the stage a bit! - (no offense!) rather than shredding a guitar like Jimmy Page or beating wood on stretched animal skin in an amazing way like Zep's drummer John Bonham!
I remember the day this song came out on New York Radio. The Good Old Days! MISS THEM! Something this generation will never experience....Love The British Invasion...
