Welcome to my first video of 2022 which is a round up of some of my favourite makes from 2021. It is a bumper video, with lots of different garments that I have loved making and wearing.

I enjoy watching what you have made for your children, especially your daughter. I raised 2 girls and one boy and between them I have 5 grandsons. Your girl things are so pretty.

Such beautiful makes Amelia! You have such an eye for patterns and fabric and they all look perfection! My favourite is the seagull/beach hut dress, makes me want to sit on a deckchair with an ice cream (or cocktail) with my feet in the sea 😉 and as for your daughters dresses 😍 the velvet one is spectacular and the liberty smocked one really is a treasure!!!

Fabulous makes Amelia, I always enjoy all your makes and videos. I made lots of clothes, sewn and knit for my 4 grand children to wear at xmas. It was the first time for several years that all 4 of my children and spouses were all going to be together at xmas.Sadly only days before they were due to arrive here in France from the UK the border was closed to non residents. We were and still are heart broken about it. Xx

I love little girl dresses! Children’s Corner patterns are wonderful! I never got into smocking much but loved heirloom sewing. My granddaughter is in store for some beautiful makes🥰. Happy New Year! Cheryl

I wore a Zadie the other day and found myself to be constantly checking it was still in place, so I think I might add a little stud at the neck line too. Yours is so bright and fun! Happy New Year to you and your family. Thank you for a really interesting video of your makes. I like very many of your makes and think they may suit me too as I have similar measurements to you. Do you mind me asking how tall you are as I'm only 5ft and that often has an influence on how different clothes look on me compared to the pattern drawings.

Thank you so much Elaine. A happy new year to you and your family too! I am just under 5'5'' so most of the patterns work ok for my height, or I need to shorten them, but only a little. Most of the patterns I make have shorten/lengthen lines on the bodice and skirt/trouser pieces which is really helpful for fitting taller/shorter sewists. Thanks for watching! ❤

thank you for sharing your makes! how do you do that lovely hand-sewn shirring? are there online instructions and patterns you follow or any book or do you just improvise? this adds so much interest to plain fabric, I would really love to try it sometime.

Thanks so much for watching! I pleat my fabric for smocking using a smocking pleater machine. I am going to make a video all about the process soon! I use a mixture of patterns for the smocking, and my own ideas. If you look up Children's Corner Store, or Gail Doane, both have some tutorials that you can look at if you are interested in smocking! Hope that helps. ❤
