Need to uncork that motor with a full PC 6 exhaust and efi remap.. bike comes alive like day and night over stock muffler which is baffled

I appreciate your review. For most people including me who buy a motocross bike and are not national level pro or A- fast b class riders, this is an awesome bike, I had a KTM450sx 2018 and YZ250F 2023 and this bike has the best traits from those two bikes combined for me and suits my riding skills and abilities. Best linear power delivery and easy to ride. I am 6 ft tall 215 lb and felt right at home with the ergonomics package. First time ever buying a Kawi MX bike and really happy with it.

I have a 23' KX 450 i recently bought with almost no hours. Had 7 hours when i bought it. I haven't had much opportunity to ride it, been suoer busy with work, but i noticed the rear brake on the '23 is too aggressive. I have never felt a stock rear brake so aggressive. It is a little annoying. Lol, I guess in time I will get used to it.

Great down to earth and candid review! Covered most of the main points of interest that the average rider will care about. Interesting to hear your brief comments about the KX compared to your GG. Sounds like you may prefer the MC350F in more situations. Would have been cool to see how you felt with that against the KX at the Gyspy Tales 500. I assume the combination of ergonomics, more agile feeling chassis and less arm wrenching torque weighs in favour of the 350. Even though the KX450 is probably the most docile of the bunch for '24. Looking forward to what you have in store to share on the MC350F coming in the future. Have a season on my '23 MC350F and was seriously contemplating the '24 KX450, but given they are currently 15k out the door in Canada right now, going to wait to try one first. Although it sounds like they are much easier to ride than the 19-23 models (had a '19 for a couple of months), at the end of the day they are still a 450 and you still feel that inertia and weight in the corners and leaning the bike over. My son has a '21 KX250 and I do really like the ergo's on the KX's. Anyways, great content. Keep it coming!

You’re spot on! The 350 (especially the old chassis) is unreal. After living with a 450 for the past few months, it’s clear to me that I prefer the 350 over the 450. Thanks once again for tuning in 👊🏻

Just remember RV smoked a bunch of 450’s on a 250 so anything is possible power not everything.

Nice to hear your honest thoughts! I had the chance to ride one, here’s what I thought. It’s not “slow” no, but it’s slower than the other bikes in its class. I’ve rode the 2024 yz450, 2024 crf450, and the 2024 kx450. And the kawi was significantly slower than both bikes, in all aspects. Bottom - mid power was ok, but still worse than the Yami and Honda. And the top end on the Kawi is just horrible, there’s nothing up there. Yes, this can be ‘fixed’ or at least bettered by putting on an exhaust system or making airbox modifications. But in stock form, the kawi power is lacking, plain and simple. With that being said, the turning on this bike is really good, I could lay it into ruts and felt comfy right away. So it has that going for it.

Put an exhaust, unplug the air box, and run a better map and it pulls harder than my KTM. Smoother than most 450's so you can't run 3rd as much but if you run 2nd and like to rev I think the new KX is rad. Plus it's so damn comfortable with Honda ergo's. It's rad!

Good review, I agree iv never rode a 450 that was slow lol they have a lot of excessive power with min traction so to speak,hp to weight ratio is really powerful can't be slow .my grandson has a 2020 kx450 it is so very fast ,and he prefers the white dongel ,I havea2020 yam and I have it quite detuned that what I do like about all these bikes is there ability to detune some of the crazy hit out that they have, and move it deeper in the throttel, but yes soo much power people really on a track have to be careful when that sucker hooks up .

You can also add one tooth on rear sprocket if youre racing tighter tracks. high performance cam and exhaust. Bike would prob feel fine

The lack of power argument people bring up on this bike baffles me a lot, because me included 98% of riders out there are NOT riding a 450 to the point is doesn’t have enough power. I could see in pro nationals in deep stuff where everyone is top tier rider where it could hinder but the average joe no way. The slowest 450 aspect is actually the biggest upside for me, been on a 450 4 seasons and think I’m stepping backwards this year to a 250 or 350
