BMW has dropped the 'i' from petrol model designations, renaming the 1 Series F70 to F70, marking the end of a tradition introduced in the 1970s. The new hatch is 42mm longer and 25mm taller, with a 2670mm wheelbase and 1800mm width. The front end features slimmer, wider grilles connected by adaptive cruise control radar, while the rear features a new trim. The 1 Series offers new 17- and 18-inch wheel designs and a black contrast roof, with a unique grille insert, black M mirror caps, and four exhaust tips.
