Grats on the 100! Thank you for doing the breakdowns. This has been immensely helpful! I've done the minion mancer and incinerate/flamethrower (I WISH we had an armory - 2 sorcs for fire & frost). This frozen orb build is so much fun to play. Talk about a Lucky Hit: already had the gold and just needed one more shard for the Harlequin from the alchy. It really is a game changer. Also, very thoughtful of you to provide non-uber alternatives that mirror the uniques.

If you are not a professional educator you should be (I am and can appreciate your presentation of the information). 10 days or so ago I watched this video and gave the build a try. As with all things D4, it took some grinding to get items that either matched the maxrolls gear plot or could be adjusted through enchanting. I still don't have an item or two that you run with but I do have the stats. It is a very effective build - I have 12/12 on each piece and have begun the process of re-rolling certain masterwork elements. Just about 15 minutes before this post I cleared T100/Wolf boss with the build. I even use it to speed farm - wow does it zoom about the map! I took a screenshot of the room/loot drop and can provide a link upon request. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together!

Thanks for braking the build down when u are trying to get to min maxing. A lot of guides dont do that and its hard for a casual player to get alternatives for uniques. Great content!

Your build has made a big difference overall vs. one I was following on a popular website. Hunting those ubers but the non-uber setup has been a lot of fun.

Thanks for your work on this, truly appreciate the detailed info. Just a small note: several times you say to get a specific legendary aspect "if you can", when the REAL 'if you can' piece of the puzzle is the Fractured Winterglass - and it's not even close. By the time you get one, you'll likely have every aspect fully maxed in your codex. But as I said, thanks!

The problem I'm hearing for Sorc.. is Vulnerable is broken.. where we are supposed to be getting multiplicative, we are getting 50% of that as additive. We should be doing a WHOLE lot more damage then we are getting with this build using those affexis that are applying vul damage.

Thanks! My frozen orb sorc is much stronger now. 1 question, why run Strorm Swell (30% damage) over Aspect of Control (35% damage?) Same goes for conceited (25% damage) as ring Aspect in a non uber build.

Great video and break down. I did get flashbacks of watching d3 content though...the grouping up of mobs at high level content to fill the bar for the "pit". Makes not want to seek out doing it, personally. :-)

Does this build give you max resistances cause im having trouble with that

have people tested the 4000 lucky hit damage from elemental surge temper? i think its over all better if you can get it to 80% chance on the same damage type. i think it procs no matter what damage type you use. also a pro for this is it since no matter what you get 3000 -4000 flat damage no matter what element you use, so its a less chance to brick 1 stat on your item. its the same temper spot as projectile chance.

Where are the hydra's coming from? Also is there a workable version of this build that doesn't require uniques? My wife has an ice shard sorcerer she plays but it hit a brick wall around Pit 35, and I'm looking for something to potentially double that that isn't too different from what she's running now.

I’m curious why a blue rose isn’t used in these orb builds if you are scaling cold damage with everything. Seems like a lot of extra damage that could be implemented in.

Need help guys I'm at lvl 80 and got the ammy finally but I can sustain mana for long should I just suffer till I get max lvl gear or lose dmg for regen/cost reduction

Maybe the conjuring does damage with cold, because it spawns from cold spells. I don't know, Diablo math does my head in at the best of times.

quick question - the build relies on chain effect of frozen orb and various conjurations, so is frozen orb doing the damage or the conjurations?

How does this do with the tormented bosses and echo of Lilith? I am leveling a barb alt right now to get the extra material from the wolves and not sure if i want to craft a shako or craft something for the barb instead so i can do big damage

move speed is capped at 200% the character base is 100%, i think that is super over looked in most builds, my necro is 13% over the cap. at most those boots give you 1-2 % extra crit chance while at the cap after the current bonus. only having and extra 1-3% chance to crit for 3 seconds. crit chance and mana cost reduction vs life and worldly fortune or another temper/ aspect, i dont know if its a good trade off, for a boot slot.

im level 40 and I sill dont like conjuration and cant see the point of useng Ice blades. Is it a late game thing?

Why not use a 2H weapon? You lose a bit of CDR, but you gain a lot more base DPS and you can use a Frozen Orbit Aspect that does double the damage, which seems to be an insanely important aspect for single target?

Storm swell is bugged. Still works decent enough.

Can you increase the gears “item power”? Bc what do you do with those Uber gears at item power 500?

Could you explain how you damage with different elements to trigger max of the tel rasha ring passive? I can see frost (clearly :)) / fire / Lightning.

Thanks for the deep in-death for this frozen orb build, but just wondering why you put 1 point on frost bolt (basic skill)? and also for the Snowveiled Aspect (Ice armor for the chest) is it necessary to have that aspect on that chest? isn't we already over-capping the armor ? any additional benefit to get that 30% armor?

cold does around 40% damage, Close and vulnerable about 80% currently.

I have heard storm swell is not scaling all damage (like it’s only multiplying vuln damage).

i followed and got everything ( uber build aswell ) mastercrafted and got all paragons done perfect and max lvl 21 glyphs on them too, still can’t run pit t100 lol.. and i grinded for this my build is 100000% exactly the same as yours. i dont understand.

What gives you those free points on your skill tree? None of your gear has it ,except for the winterglass.

You're still a Glass Cannon. Or more appropriately, a Glass Nuke. I have a theory that might beat this. I am absolutely destructive as long as I don't get caught with my shields down, so thats basically the trick. I just am still working on acquiring the gear to test the theory but climbing higher than 100 should be doable with the right setup on an FO sorc.

I'm confused why Frozen Orb builds aren't using Winter Glyph?? Can someone explain.. it has a higher multiplier than other glyphs like tactician. Is it bugged/not working? Am i missing something?

Got unlucky with a temper here,. would damage to frozen enemies be ok? Is the bosses in pit considered frozen when hitting them with frost orb?

Hey! I am using blizzard sorc for speed clearing, speeding 70 pits in 2 to 3 minutes, have the ubers needed for this build & can scrap some great gear together. Would you say this would allow me to speed 75s - 80s? Edit - my sorc gear is 8/12 with some 12/12s as well (not optimized in masterworks tho)

Hey just wondering, i had a fractured winterglass +2 conjuration and 50/70 percent legendary aspect. And masterworked it to level 4 and hit the conjuration mastery. But it still says only +2 conjuration.. any idea why?
