Hiii guys, sorry I haven’t been able to make more of these videos and everyone’s requests. Some of us are working a 9 to 5 here lmao Anyway I made this one a while ago now, so badaboom
A thing that really got me with her was the flashback to the principal talking to her about how she used to be bullied. You don’t see that often, an adult character who was bullied and showing how that still affects them.
I loved that. Many people act like getting bullied is just part of growing up, and maybe it is, but it can still leave trauma. And that trauma doesn't go away just because you "grew up" especially without professional help
Camilla: "Newer, smaller bad guy?" Luz: "Yeah, he's like this incredibly powerful little boy" Camila: "Oh, I think I can solve the whole issue. Give me 10 minutes alone with him and my chancla" *Somewhere in the demon realm* King: "Collector? Something wrong?" Collector: "For... for some reason I feel like something REALLY bad is going to happen to my butt."
I was skeptical at first when Camilla wanted to send Luz to that camp and I still think she overreacted at the end of yesterday’s lie although I warned up a bit in the episode when I learned she was a veterinarian and more so when I learned she’d been a single mom for quite awhile in reaching out by the time thanks to them came around I was like oh Camilla you poor sweet mom I’m so sorry
@@davidwallgren7575 Sasha: “Wanna bet?” 😏 On April 15, 2023, while addressing the possibility of a continuation, Terrace stated she would be focusing on new personal projects, but did not write off the possibility of such an installment in due time.
Camila: food 😖 Gus:*nods head* yes Willow: I'll go help Hunter😊 Hunter: talkin to flapjack* flapjack everyone's on edge right now I wish you were here😢
I’m not sure why, but Camilla kind of reminds me of Ginger’s mom from As Told By Ginger. I really could see them getting along with each other. I think it’s that they both have similar down to earth, no nonsense personalities.
From the beginning, I think pretty much everyone expected her to be a terrible mother due to the fact that she sent Luz to a camp that was supposed to "fix" her. But then I learned that she loves Luz just the way she is. She was always doubting her abilities, especially in raising her, as so many people talked about her daughter being weird and how the parents failed her.
Camila was a very cool cartoon mom even though she didn’t know her real daughter was in the demon realm and a shapeshifting demon was impersonating Luz all the time 🤣
Not to mention she only had a few hours with her before she went to a camp for several months that was specifically meant to ground her a little. I could easily see how someone wouldn’t pick up on it.
At first I didn't have much reaction to her, and thought "Hey isn't Luz's mom worried?" Then we got to Yesterday's Lie and Camila got fleshed out into a character. Something helps make Camila relatable is that as fun a character as Luz is, she would not be an easy child to raise, especially for a single parent.
@bananatiergod How about not telling your kids to tone down some things. That way it's healthier for them, they'll be able to separate fantasy from reality, and others won't be so uncomfortable. Like that scene with snakeskin and the one where Luz uses sausages for organs. If you don't get it, you need help yourself.
D-dude why does camilla point out the same issue that i had with Luz, you know prefer fantasy over reality, have imaginary friend and etc. Bruh it feels like she pin point out the audience. Plus she do sounded like my own mom.
