Hi guys, at 24:52 the fraction should be p1/T1=p2/T2. If you have spotted this, you have passed the test : )
@niclawrenson1906
@niclawrenson1906 Год назад
@Zphysics can you please explain this? P/T = nR/V which is not constant for an isobaric change, because volume will be changing, and nR is constant. I don’t get your correction i thought you were right in the video?

For the Compression stroke of the 4 stroke engine you said that the spark causes the 'pressure and volume to increase dramatically at a constant volume', I think you meant to say the pressure and temperature increase at a constant volume

I can't seem to find the various formulas for the moment of inertia on the AQA formula sheet? Also, just a quick question, what happens to the rotational kinetic energy when we increase the radius of the flywheel?
@zhelyo_physics
@zhelyo_physics Год назад
If needed, they would be given in the question, very often as a number too. You have the general ones given. And in terms of the fly wheel, as rotational KE=Iw^2 and I is proportional to r^2 so if everything else is constant, the KE will increase by a factor of r^2. Hope this helps!

@@zhelyo_physics Alright thanks, so I understand that increasing: Mass, Angular Speed, Amount of Spokes and Radius all increase this store of Rotational Kinetic Energy?

Any tips for calculating areas quickly and accurately in an exam? Counting squares is impossible, and i never know how many trapezia are enough
@zhelyo_physics
@zhelyo_physics Год назад
if it's a multiple choice you can approximate with a shape and find the closest answer. If it's a numerical answer I am afraid counting squares might be the only option. How I wish integration was on the spec and then you wouldn't have to count squares : )

13:45 why does the KE stored increase with spokes?
@zhelyo_physics
@zhelyo_physics 2 года назад
I was thinking about researching this further, I think a spoked wheel of the same mass will have a larger radius, meaning that the mass will be spinning with a higher r of rotation, hence higher moment of inertia and more energy.

use the time wisely, make notes, run through the video and also look at the syllabus at the same time. You can do it! Don't forget to get a decent amount of sleep before the exam.
