Improvise with Jelske over the chords of the first 8 measures of the jazz standard All of Me. We use a simple method - using melody pathways - which helps you improvise from your imagination. You can play along with all instruments, like saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, flute, piano, guitar, etc.
Practicing like this, with melodic pathways, is a great exercise to internalize the chords, train your ear and help you develop a natural feel for the flow of harmony across the chord changes
You can use this technique not only in jazz, but also in pop, blues, classical music and other styles of music based on Western harmony.
