Love your Hoya collection and really enjoyed the video! One that I suggest is Hoya retusa. It’s quirky looking so you might not like it, but I adore mine. I got it from Steve’s Leaves and it bloomed pretty quickly.
Wht do you fertilize with ? Maybe thats part of why they arent growing mine are growing really well right now .i use super thrive fish fertilizer an slow release an lol a Orchid fertilizer useing in water an also spraying on the leaves ..also yes your correct they have the most smell night early morning monloa is super slow rooter an grower but love it it was one of 1st hoyas and i didnt even know wht gem i had goten an it was giving to me crazy lol anywho thanks for the videos ive been enjoying them new to your content.. love love love the fish tale i just got the inner var. One so excited
fabulous video, I thought the same thing about linearis and retusa and now I have both and love them! I have a Hoya Hawaiian Royal Purple with leaves just like that from Logees greenhouse. The blooms are fuzzy and purple as well. I only have the green form bella but it's a fantastic grower for me and it's so so bushy and fast growing. I recommend picking one up and I love your little variegated boy! I have a large shepherdii and I love the long green been looking leaves and it's a very very active bloomer!! I also prefer the queen to princess. It sounds odd but it's more of an elegant plant.
My obovata grows really well outside during the summer and she actually bloomed for me this year. My first Hoya blooms ever. She’s an inner variegated one.
I have the green one and when I first got it gave me a couple leaves then it stop for awhile.Last year gave me a leaf and this year one more😢On the other hand ,have the inner variegated one and NO leaves @ all since I bought like 2 years ago.And the leaves look wrinkly even after I water it.😮💨
I love my Latifolia albomarginata! It's about the same size as yours, and isn't the fastest grower, but I Iove the thickness and texture of the leaves!! Also love my Hanhei Yellow!! Enjoyed seeing your Hoya collection. The polyneura is one of my wishlist plants!!❤
Krimson Queen for sure. Had both but I like the stark white better than the buttery yellow white of princess, Lisa and tricolor wayetii. Don't know why, just the vibe I guess 🤷
For some reason (maybe cuz my name is Lisa 😂) I instantly thought maybe a new pot for Lisa…? I loooove yellow variegation tho so I’m a fan! Gorgeous collection!!
So I might be going on a limb here but bluer-green plants look way more stunning in terra cotta because blue and orange sit opposite on the color wheel and both have a “dirty” aspect to their color. A bright yellow-green Hoya does a weird contrast with the terra cotta orange. Does that make sense? I put my australis lisa in a stark white porcelain pot and she is a stunner ❤❤❤
I feel the same about my Hoya Lisa as you; something about the yellow tones just doesn’t do it for me. I also don’t love the growth pattern so i ended up selling my Lisa and my princess. For your fitchii try sunstressing it and you might love it more! I was feeling blah about mine and then it got sun stress and now i love it 😊
Hi Joy. I have a Krimson Princess and it’s grown right up my macrame hanger and half way up it’s lost the variegation. It’s hanging in a window with plenty of light so I can’t understand why it’s turned to dark green. I’m almost leaning towards replacing it with a Krimson Queen because I kind of prefer more variegation.
If you like fuzzy hoyas id recommend the coronaria or the lauterbachii. They're sooo fuzzy and the new baby leaves feel like velvet. I've had both for a few months and they've been growing well for me so far
Loved seeing your Linearis. I have just bought cuttings and hoping mine looks spectacular in a year or so (are my expectations too high 🤣) cannot wait. My favourite plant list has certainly changed over the last couple of years
I have had nothing but issues with my Merrillii since I got it. It's living in a prop box and who knows if it lives. And now I have a nice list of hoya to send you that you don't have!
😭 I'm so sorry! I have heard of others struggling with them. I hope that you're able to find success with them someday 🤞 I wish I could share the "secret sauce" with you, but I don't even know what I'm fully doing right lol. We've just figured out a rhythm that works and I just have to hope that it will continue working 🫣
Im so with you on Hoya Lisa. I aaaaaalmost purged it so many times… It got to the point where I took a picture of it to ask my friends if they wanted to have it as a gift.. But then its cute on the heart shaped trellis and pops some colour in between the greener plants or it just put out a new pretty red leaf and I “sort of” like it again. 😅 Haha and yes now that you say it, she does look like a peperomia,
Amazing Hoya collection you have there! I do believe you have the Hoya Hawaiian Royal Purple and your Callistophylla looks more like a Finlaysonii but overall they all look beautiful.🌿
I love Hoya💖your collection is gorgeous. My Obovata splash bloom early May stay for a month😊she’s in my son room by the window direct sunlight🌞every time I watch videos of Hoya Tour collection i make list that i needs to add in my collection.
My carnosa compacta really took off when I treated it for flatmites as well as all my other Hoya with sulfur. Well I dropped the pot in the tub and having 6 plants in there one had a hissy fit and got root rot when I put that one in water it got a puduncle and flowered immediately. I’m going to transfer that one to Pon now. I love Hoyas too. Queen over Princess but always have both. Waiting till my Queen is huge like ferns. Tfs
Hello from Puerto Rico!! My Hoya Pubicalyx Royal Hawaiian Purple has reddish stressing with splash. I haven’t seen the dark new leaves though. 😊 Have you ever thought about your Hoyas in pon? It has been a game changer for me. 🪴 Just subscribed. I recently started my english-speaking channel and would appreciate your support. Thank you!
I definitely had more problems with Hoya until I got grow lights. I need more shelves and lights now. The gracillas is one I have had to reroot several times and definitely has been doing better with lights and heat mats
Love your Hoya collection, you may need to treat for flat mites. I use a squirt bottle and treat all the stems up to the start of the leaves. After a few treatments, I use monthly as a preventative.💚
Villosa does have a scrubby type growth. Also it is supposed to like cooler temps. I cut out green stems & leaves on my crimson princess. This helps me like it, but not quite as much as my queen. My queen is going to bloom for the first time which is also exciting. Nice video.
