googan rod is okay. i own the gold 7'5 heavy casting rod, and its already cracking on the handle after a few use. dont mind it, got the rod for free anyways.

The one thing that will agitate my rod purchase is hook loop directly under the line, I want my hook look on the side of the pole instead of directly under the line. I watched a fishing buddy loose a fish because the line got caught on the hook loop close to the reel.

Kistler should be so happy right now......I can't think of another company , (except St. Croix), that is better suited to your use of the product. I'm quite envious of your amazing arsenal of rods. I have seen Kistler Rods before but I can't remember whether they come stock with micro-guides or if they have larger guides. I use braid to fluro setups quite a bit and all these micro guides rods keep catching on the knot. Since Kistler essentially is offering to custom fit the rod for you, is there some line in the Kistler stable that can be special ordered from them. That would really make them a front runner in selling the strong points of their rod materials while allowing the angler some degree of specialization. Can you find out if that's an option. God I love the new Jon Boat, it is totally the S%^t!!!!!!!!! ... I sure hope i get to see it up close and personal some day. Take care and thanks for the Best Fishing Content on RU-vid.

Never used a kistler. But I've heard of one that's discontinued and needs to be brought back think it's called the bad boy or something like that. But through 1/2 oz to I believe 5 oz. I'm sure someone will correct me

$150-$250 for a plastic stick/tube? No thanks! Super over priced fishing gears for the everyday/weekend anglers. There are far more affordable/cheaper alternative that will perform just as well or even better than those rods/reels.

To each their own 🤷🏻‍♂️. I know plenty of weekend anglers that have more expensive gear than me. Of course there are more affordable selections, but I guarantee they won’t perform “as well or even better”.
