Exactly she says that clearly multiple times in “The Evil that Men Do” Storyline where she says this and the writers reward her growing and becoming more Mature by being Sexually Assaulted (btw this is a over-simplification it was worse), like can the writers hate her more?
@@1krani well Peter parker when started out was a dork, nerd, outsider but after being bitten by a spider he ended up arrogant and ended up as a lone superhero. Although it was john romita sr who gave the best stories of Spiderman ended up destroying not only Peter but Gwen and aunt may. Peter: dork, nerd, outsider -> most handsome and desirable man that girl's wanted to date. He had no girlfriends at the age of 15 and ended up with 22 girlfriends with one of them ending up her as her wife with whom he was with for 5 years.VERY REALISTIC AND RELATABLE PARKER. Gwen: from a high intellectual, most beautiful girl in their college who everyone wanted to date, short tempered yet one who cared and helped others (EMMA STONE)-> one dimensional love interest (BRYCE DYLLAS) aunt may-> a genuine mother who cares out Peter and inspires him to be better -> always on the verge of dying, reason of all chaos in Peter's life, hating Spider-Man and then sleeping and almost marrying doc ock, forcing Peter and mj to be together, hating Gwen to such an extent that she tries to stop Gwen coming back in Peter's life, NOT DYING IS HER BIGGEST CRIME
IMO Ultimate Spider-man doesn't count BMB is a whole for creating that gen of comics. Oh and it is pronounced Feli-sha NOT Feli-see-ya for FELICA HARDY get it RIGHT MAN.
MJ, Felicia, and Gwen are all awesome. But why does everybody forget that Felicia eventually learns to love Peter Parker as well -- Spider-Man & Black Cat: The Evil That Men Do.
I think Silks and Spidermans relationship is the most interesting to me? Because I always looked at Peter as just a human with mutations, like they exist in IRL, really sci-fi mutations but still. But the way their attraction to each other is explained it feels more like they are a different species.
I think Pete and Cindy could actually be really compatible based on the current incarnation of Cindy’s character. But her writing was really different (and a lot more sloppy) when she was first introduced and I think that killed the ship for good.
Apparently the fans hated their relationship only because the only thing they had in common, besides spider powers ,was the genetic attraction to each other.
@@haxtrixter6933Shame too because it could totally work now and work well too given that she's had a chance to actually grow as a stand alone character and not just an extension of Peter's mythos. Oh well, if the X-Men can become immortal they can try again eventually. Hell given the nature of comics, especially Spider-Man's. its actually inevitable that it'll be attempted again at some point so hopefully its handled better.
After learning about Chat, nobody works better for Peter than her because she actually cares about both sides of his life. She isn't like MJ who focuses more on peter, or Felicia who focuses more on spider man, she loves every bit of him almost unconditionally and she's actually understanding when he has to do hero stuff. Best comic book live interest in ages stg
I love Peter and MJ, but they’ve broken up so many times that it’s hard to get invested in them anymore. Either keep them together or apart and stick with it, stop giving false hope.
I will always prefer Mary Jane as the love interest of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man They were married from 1987 to 2007 it took an editorial-driven Make A Deal with the Devil storyline to get rid of their marriage
Theory: What if Peter's relationship with Gonzalez turned out that she got pregnant but never told him because she thought it was someone else's she got together with shortly after leaving him. AND then, many years and generations later, Miguel O'Hara is born with dormant spider abilities which were forced to the surface due to his "accident."

What I find very interesting about the death of Gwen Stacey is there is A-line in the next issue Where green goblin hints she was already dead when spider man arrived at the bridge. Everyone ignores that line
@@spartanjohn-1176 That was very much left ambiguous, I don't know if you've actually read the issue where she dies from the issue afterwards, I have, from the moment green goblin grabbed her she never moved she never made a sound. The only thing that makes people say that maybe spider man killed her is when he hit her with the webbing there was a crack at the neck. However as I stated the very next issue where spider man confronts the green goblin, the green goblin tells him she was already dead. There is never a moment where it's actually fully stated that spider man killed her, maybe green goblin was saying that she was already dead just to mess with him but there's never been a clarification that I'm aware of that she was alive.

Felicia is often portrayed as a Selfish character but that first breakup goes to show that she TRULY DOES CARE for Spider-Man/Peter. I mean COME ON she broke it off cause she thought she was a DANGER to him because of the powers she got cause she thought she was a LIABILITY to him. If that's not love I don't know WHAT is. I'd LOVE to see a Renew Your Vows type Universe with the both of them are Married with a Son. There's a slight COMPLEXITY to Felicia's character that MOST writers forget and just make her a cliche ONE NOTE Femme Fatalle🤦♂️. Why can't they ever write Peter or his supporting characters PROPERLY
@@samuelperdegaton4143 yh i remember that VERY well. I REALLY HOPE...I PRAY they DO have a child cause that copout at the end of her lying so she could just steal was some of the WORST writing I have ever witnessed
She comes to support him all the time and apparently loves Aunt May. To the point that she told him off for not telling may about Spiderman. Why cause so much trouble? That if she still had family left, she wouldn’t treat them this way.
@@no.1spidey-fan182 dude if they have a kid that’d be awesome. I can imagine the kid having a tough life, having a bad luck aura, and what would 2 bad auras reflecting on each other look like?
Actually, the first breakup was done by Peter because she got her powers from kingpin and Felicia didn't tell him. When she was first introduced, Felicia was a very selfish character, which is how she's depicted in most modern appearances like the PS4 game, but that's bad writing. Later on she grows into a much more respectable character, but you can't deny that when she was first introduced, it's no wonder why Peter and Felicia broke up
In the current comic book moments, Spidey's best potential partner is Felicia. She has matured in recent years, she is no longer that toxic woman who preferred the mask over the man, they are on great terms and recently there was a kiss. MJ is with a man that have kids, she's moved away from Peter a lot and... I think it's the best thing for both of them. He can't live entirely for her and wait eternally for her, and the redhead also needs stability and security in her day-to-day. There were many other relationships that were spoiled by the writers themselves, "because Spider-Man is this or that...", I would have liked to have seen something more in the relationship he had with Bobbi and the quick thing he had with Carol. But do what, right?!
I a totally agree ! Peter relationships seem to work better either if Peter is with somoene with whom he can share his vigilante/super hero life, or if Peter himself stop being Spider-man. And in the current 616 earth, Felicia's character evolved enough in the right sense for her to be a good love partner for Peter. Also lets take an examplz from the recent Marcel Spider-man video game on PS4 and PS5. MJ relationship with Peter seems to works at the end of the game and in the DLC because contrary to the 616 MJ, this MJ isn't always scarred as hell for Peter and wants to contribute to his super heroic activites, as a journalist she wants to be his partner against crimes as a supportive character who guides him give him clues ands infos on the cases he works with (and that's why she's my favorite MJ with the one from the cartoon Ultimate Spider-man) This MJ can be good because she doesn't seem to want a stable life like earth 616 MJ , danger doesn't scares The MJ from the PS4-PS5 vidéo games
@@maellesaliou5871 Just like danger doesn't scare 616 MJ, MJ in the comics is not afraid of danger, in her first appearance she called Peter to see the villain that was attacking the city, she already shot the green goblin to save Peter, she already attacked morlum (who is Spider-Man's most dangerous and powerful villain), has already defeated some villains, MJ in the comics is not a scared damsel in distress (that role falls to Gwen), Peter and MJ's relationship is important to Peter because MJ reminds Peter that he has to take the mark off and just be Peter Packer, she gives him reason to enjoy life and rest, Peter has a lot of self-destructive behaviors that he ends up getting into when he gets too much in Spider-Man's world, MJ remembers that he is only human.

A little explanation as to why he can get so many ladies. Spider-Hybrids can all produce more pheromones than normal humans, the only one to ever control it was Spider-Woman, the others just kind of have it on all the time lol. Peter Parkers and Silks are very compatible because they where bitten by the same Spider so they kinda go crazy around each other lol.
I still wish this wasn't a thing. A huge draw about Spider-Man is how relatable he is to your everyday man. So Spidey having women fall for him left and right breaks that relatability a bit

@@yzxz9012 Nah she ain't. Spider-Man moved on from Gwen a LOOOONG time ago. Some writers are just OBSESSED with Gwen and make Peter DISREPECT MJ in the process by Simpimg for Gwen but he was written to have moved on from her a while back. He even comforted MJ when she had doubts in the 90s or 80s. Writers today just DON'T want to let this man GROW UP
@@no.1spidey-fan182 nope. I don't think writers are obsessed with Gwen. If that would have been the case she would have been properly resurrected long back. Instead we got a bad clone saga in 1970s and the sins past story in 2000s. The writers just obsessed with torturing Peter and keeping him younger. If we read through early comics by Steve ditko and acknowledge the statement that stan lee wanted the character to grow with time shows he wasn't supposed to be 30 years old in 2022. He was supposed to be a more than 45. Also don't get me wrong but Gwen Stacy wasn't a bad character as long as Steve ditko was there. Once john romita came he completely destroyed Gwen and Peter. Gwen was supposed to be what the tasm movies showed her rather than what we got.

What if...the way Spidey's Pheromones worked is that the longer someone is near him...its easier for them to open up to him🤔. It makes people not see him as a threat so their defenses are down whether it be Hero, Villain or even Women Like in a way he isn't seen as a threat which can be used to explain: 1.Why he's usually liked by MOST other heroes even though he may come off as annoying 2. Why Supervillains he's fought for AGES eventually become heroes/friends: Doc Ock, Venom, Clash 3. Why its so easy for Women to like him cause he isn't deemed hostile. Would also explain why Silk who was bitten by the SAME Spider felt unusual amounts of attraction😂 4. Maybe that might also explain why he's underestimated so much even being one of Marvel's STRONGER heroes 5. Maybe he can also SWITCH the POLARITY to produce a kind of PRESSURE of a PREDATOR when he's serious. I mean his powers ARE from a SPIDER
Isnt this very joke played in NWH? "One of Parker's abilities may include the male spider's ability to hypnotize females, which he has used to seduce Michelle Jones"?

Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane Watson were the only two girls Peter Parker dated that could seriously be called girlfriends. He went out with Betty Brant briefly and had some kind of fling with Felicia Hardy. Anything beyond that is just modern-day nonsense.
Honestly I wish Marvel chose someone else to be his girlfriend because MJ is usually written inconsistently with her flip flopping on being in a relationship with spider man and just what type of person she is. The PS4 game did give her some agency and character in the DLC saying she was inspired by May to help people just like her and Peter. It was a right step into making her something other than just Spider-Man’s girlfriend. But honestly I’d prefer him to get with an actual superhero like him because she’ll already understand his responsibilities and helps out and it would be cool to see them drop in and out of each others comics to lend a hand.
Right. MJ never felt right after all the flip flopping. She's a great girl but something didn't come off right. But what I did like was that she was interested right from the get go it seemed. We all liked Gwen Stacy since the 70's. So, seeing Spider-Gwen in action was very cool. Personally, I think he should have picked Silver Sable. My dark horse is Red Sonja!
I don't blame the story one more day but Joe Quesda who didn't like Peter & MJ's marriage (which to me is very stupid) because he wanted him to be single again the way Joe thought Spider-Man should be but didn't understand that marriage made Spider-Man better. Ever since then, even after Joe Quesda was not apart no more the writers never put him back to being married to MJ.
That's because the writers aren't allowed to get Peter and Mary Jane married. Marvel higher ups won't allow it. That would've been an acceptable excuse if Peter and Bobbi weren't literally scientific geniuses, which they're; in addition to that they've numerous ties that link them directly and indirectly. I'm not saying they had to stay together, get married and have children, but if they were to be separated then it would be in logical and natural way.
No mention about the best one, Sophia Sanduval? Granted it was apart of the Marvel Adventures world, but you also included Ultimate so I thought she would be on the list.
They’ve developed her character a lot since she was first introduced, but that introduction and her relationship with Pete were so mishandled I think it’s permanently turned people off the ship.
I always thought that Carlie and Peter had the makings of a truly lasting relationship, especially during the events of Spider-Island. But Spider-Island was one of the major rekindling points of Peter’s and MJ’s relationship since OMD since it finally brought essentially everyone in Peter’s life on his level; yet finally reconfirm why Peter is truly amazing. Sad they had to force that end and run Carlie’s character into obscurity
I thought she and Reed Richards were married from the start, was Peter really so bitter at him for not letting him join the Fantastic Four that he would go so far as to try and fuck his wife?

I mean, someone in production did say the only reason they killed Gwen is because her relationship with Peter worked *too* well, so the only natural progression was marriage with kids, which is the exact opposite of the whole "adventurous hero" image for Peter. Now to MJ, it's the opposite extreme - this relationship just *doesn't* work, sure they might say it's the "love of his life" but they break up all the time, and could never give each other what they want, after all these years it looks more toxic with each time. The most *functional* relationship he had was with Cat, as they are very much true partners, but as with Gweny - it's not dramatic enough.
Eh that’s only in the last 15 years due to a editorial decision to keep them apart. They were married for 20 years and the straczynski run depicted them the best. They did have some issues in that run but she can ground him like no other love interest
I have watched a video recently about Chat, a more obscure girlfriend of Spider-Man. Honestly, I am hoping that some of the best aspects of her can spread to other love interests. The best part of her is that she is very supportive of Peter being Spider-Man, as she sees him as Spider-Man first before Peter Parker. Unlike other girlfriends, she makes Peter extremely happy. But maybe that is just me…
