This is why totem spawns should be reworked. They shouldn’t be next to gens, in the shack or other well traveled areas. Survivors should have to spend time looking for them if they want to cleanse them. Also giving killers a better possibility for value from hex perks.

You wish for this, but then gonna hate it when totems spawn wayyyyy out of the way, and survivors keep putting boons on the edges of maps.

​​​@@damnsoda8286 Lol who runs boons anymore? No one runs that trash when medkits are still better after all the healing nerfs. Not to mention the loud AH noise they make. Anyone with a decent headset will find a boon no problem.

​@@Lbdataz1469I agree with all that was said but about the boons it's not about hiding it by placing it at the edge of the map, it is about the fact that you make hunter go out of their way to go and shut down that boon which is less efficient and loosen up the pressure, so not all hunters do this and go all the way to shut down the boon. Some of them are pretty annoying especially at RPD

I’ve spent a lot of time trying to get the most value out of hex’s and there’s only one build that I feel like gets enough value consistently to run. Devour Hope Haunted Grounds Undying 4th perk can be anything other then a Hex If all goes well they will pop the haunted grounds first. Which is a 50/50 chance. If they do Undying will relight as Haunted Grounds as long as they didn’t cleanse the only dull totem on the map. Which they almost never do. Then you have two haunted grounds totems and devour up. So they have a 66% chance they will pop a second haunted grounds before devour. Two minutes of exposure is usually enough to get your Devour up and running. At this point you just try to snowball and end the game before they cleanse Devour. When it works it’s amazing. But like I said earlier there’s a 50/50 chance they don’t cleanse haunted grounds first and they get undying or devour. At that point they have a 1/3 chance at getting your devour next. So as long as they don’t get lucky you still have a chance to get good value with Devour. Worst case scenario they get lucky and cleanse devour and undying first. If my maths right (it prob isn’t) there’s a 20-30% chance of this happening. But on the off chance this does happen you used up three perk slots for 60 seconds of exposure and 45ish seconds of survivor time wasted cleansing the three totems. You can run Pentimento as a fourth perk but if you do that eliminates any chance at getting two haunted grounds procs since it takes two dull totems to relight and there are only 5 totem spawns. Personally I don’t like pentamento. I feel like I’m always needing to run across the map to light totems for it and sometimes that’s just not worth it. I also think that Pentimento was Behaviors band-aide for Hex builds. I’ve tried this build on a few killers and I don’t think it’s worth it on everyone. I primarily use it on Spirit and Hag. Hag can down multiple people very fast with exposure. The idea id that you use a killer that can secure the three hooks in the 2 minutes of exposure your hoping to get.

Dude I've thought about making this build for so long, I love it so much. Sadly I don't have undying to use it, but awesome build. Closing in on day 30!

I sometimes run a similar build but swap out Face the Darkness for Pentimento. With three other hexes in play you always get at least one or two Pentimento’s out of it. 🙂

I have an idea for a decent rework for hex perks. Remove pentimento and thrill. Make it to where when a hex is destroyed the first time you can rekindle it and the effect of thrill is placed on the totem. Or just slap thrill on pentimento idk.

So what do you think about the 8 regression events limit that’s coming Red? Big deal, Little deal or non issue? They say it’ll rarely come into effect but I think that’s just them trying to act like it’s not a big nerf on killers.. My understanding is that it’s 8 regression events for the entire game. So wouldn’t perks like eruption and surge count as multiple regression events?

It's 8 per generator, for what I remember reading, which is why it will not come into play so often, unless you into a small map like midwich with jolt or Smth it shouldn't be that big of an issue. Specially given the generator has to regress over 5% of its Max charges for it to count. Its still gonna be rough to adjust at, but with the changes to stopping regression (you can no longer tap gens to stop them from regressing, but rather restore some charges, forgot the amount, both wasting a few seconds and being pretty easy to track) and kicks being stronger, I think it will fall under the "little deal" category.
