if the bears choose caleb i’m not a bears fan anymore, we could get so much draft capital for that #1 overall pick basically you’re saying you’d rather have caleb williams (a big risk, huge bust potential) over, justin fields, 6 first round picks over the next 3 years(including their own), and additional draft capital stop being addicted to the rebuild, we have our qb so we should pay him next year (after we accept his option, and maybe even franchise tag him for an additional year) the bears would be a 10 win team at least if it wasn’t for poor coaching and justin fields being injured for 6 games (i still think they benched him to tank), doesn’t make sense to take a QB they just need to cut eddie jackson, and cody whitehair (would free up around $25 million to up their cap space to $85 million), build up the interior oline, center and right guard and then get a new safety, and big time wide receiver in the draft (would be best if they trade down to 2 or 3 and get marvin but finding a package like that would be hard) sorry for the long comment but I DESPISE your take and strongly disagree i’m giving up on life if the bears take caleb williams 😡
I mean you feel however you want, it's just my opinion. I like Fields, I still think he has potential, but the value of resetting the clock with a rookie contract is legitimately so valuable They're winning more lately because the defense is playing better. They passed on Stroud last year for picks, and while DJ moore is definitely good, I think Stroud is better than Fields, and you don't have to pay him the next contract as early. They could also always miss on their draft picks, and they have several picks already lined up the next 2 years Plus you'll also get at least a 2nd round pick for Fields if you trade him, if not more, Lotta options, but delaying the 2nd contract for a more likely better QB is not a bad one. We'll see
i dont know the spreads and all that other betting stuff.but i played semi pro hockey( played against the Red Wings in exibitions)i played center and defense and was always the Captain.i also coached and to top it off-- i refereed also.that gives a very unique perspective other than being an owner.
