@@CarsShopsAndCollections one of my customers brought in a white 69 390hp. All original and offered it for $10k back in 1987. Wish I bought it but I wanted a large port engine. A 425hp was a good option. The L88 or ZL1 are kings, but the 435hp tri power wouldn't be my first choice. PS I'm guessing this is the 390 hp version? I had one and with an l88 camshaft and a bigger carb I had well over 450hp at the flywheel. The oval port heads flow nice with the bigger cam and valves.
Beautiful car. My dad owned one of these the same color back in the 70’s. Best rides of my life as a kid. Nearly cried when he replaced it with a Merc just to have a back seat.
I drive my ‘69 as a daily driver for ten years , in the 80’s. It had the 350/350, two tops, 4-spd, all original . I drove it back and forth from Phila to Ft Lauderdale 10 times . Nothing Ever broke, loved that car
What a great find. I'm sure that it wasn't cheap. To say the least. It gorgeous and original. That little lady was garage kept for sure. I wouldn't mind having that beauty in my garage. Great find. Have a blessed day.
Reminds me of High School - I used to go down to the Chevrolet / Oldsmobile dealer to look at Corvettes as they got new ones on showroom floor - always loved the little lights on center console indicating taillights working.
Man does that bring back great memories of my youth I had this exact car except it was a 350/350 4 speed with factory side pipes and not many came this color love it
They look scary to drive, seems like there's way too much length between the cockpit and the front wheels and then again from the front wheels to the front of bumper. Looks amazing but looks so nose heavy
In the last year of high school in 72', my best friend bought the 69' Vette with the 427. A black convertible with dodgy side pipes, but for 2 teenage boys it was frigging awesome, rolling up to school in a Stingray.
Thanks for watching! Beast indeed! We did a bumper to bumper breakdown if you want more... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rjf6frrd56o.html
My dad knew the original owner of this '69 Stingray. He passed away in that car that he loved so much. I can old Bill is still hanging around his most beloved car by seeing him (the orb that was floating around) jump back into the driver's seat mid point of the video ready to roll out!
@@CarsShopsAndCollections How could I not, Keep putting it out there buddy and I will keep watching it I love corvettes and that is one of my favorites
68-69 my favorite year on Vettes absolutely 💯 % gorgeous ride you have . Keep her looking good , I pray she's no a garage or trailer queen , I would be driving this every day that the weather permitted me too. 😊
What an awsome year,,, I had 71 RS CAMARO at one point,,,, red, black vinyl on roof, black interior, split bumper,,, man I miss that car,,, one I shoulda held onto
For a very long time one of they fastest cars I ever drove was a 69 427 tri power Vett . That car scared the crap out of me. Then the 90' s came along and game started to change.
I remember my buddy I worked with got a brand new one with the 427 four speed and drove it to the construction site every day. It was blue and beautiful.
Wow! Automatic! 427 390-435 horsepower! Very nice! A friend had one but only a 350 but still a blast! He got in an accident with it and damaged a fender. They are fiberglass no small problem that!
Beautiful car, one of the best days of my life was when I raced one and I was in my 69 Firebird and I pulled him a car length in every gear, I will never forget looking in my rear view mirror and the guy giving me a thumbs up 👍🏻 out of his roof and making a right turn behind me. But respect ✊🏻 I still want one of those Corvettes! But I still regret ever selling my 69 Firebird!
