Your first 3 plots auto fill after you complete the items they need. You would have needed to hunt before finishing the DIYs and submitting them. This is def how it’s always been lol.
By auto fill I assume? This doesn't happen via island hunting does it? Pretty interesting, so the game forces 3 personalities on your island (Sisterly, Jock and Smug) and 3 more if you can't hunt anything else through islands. Only Snooty and Cranky villagers are not forced upon player. Because I certainly hunted Merengue (Normal, starter house) and probably Erik too (Lazy, starter house) and then Puddles invaded my island without invitation. (Peppy, can't remember her house because all my time and focus went to hit her with my net, lol)
What I did when I first played was going on the island tours first and meeting three villagers (I found Filbert, Bubbles, and Nana!) and then I went to work setting up the plots!
I wish we could have more than one island on one Switch. Would be so much fun to make s new island and try different things without needing to mess up your original one. Nice and relaxing video. 🙂
You have to find the villager before you put the furniture outside the house! But be careful because once there is a villager coming to your island you can not ask a villager to move in and nobody will show up on your mystery island! Hope this helped!
Autofills are the worst! Although sometimes you can get lucky (not me though haha)! I hope you can get Merengue in soon and kick who ever filled her spot 🙏🤞
This happens if you set up all the furniture and then talk to Tom nook. I have set up all my furniture and then went to mystery islands & was able to invite. This was on my second island, but on my first island I didn’t know any better & talked to Tom and he automatically fills the plots after you talk to him.
If they are ugly or u dont like them u can be happy! The first 5 Villagers (your two starter and the three got a build house from you) won't have their real funiture, so just focus on your last five (and the move out's) 😊
This is so truuue!! I'm happy we don't have to worry now that one of our dreamies is stuck in those awful ugly homes haha! There's at least something good in this autofill craziness ^^ we can easily say by-byyye to these villagers ~
What the others said. You have to hunt before you submit all of the furniture. Plus. Don't time travel ahead either. That also causes the game to auto fill plots too.
This was kinda terrifying but also very interesting to see who I ended up with! And tbh, now these 3 villagers took those ugly 'starter' homes so at least I don't have a dreamie stuck in the empty default house! ^^
We just bought a second switch and this is what we’re doing. Finding out today who auto filled the final third plot. It’s kind of fun to roll the dice.
When I started the game I didn’t know villager hunting was a thing (oops) and my autofills for these plots were bob and Savannah who I love and tammi who I don’t love 😂
When I first started playing I didn’t villager hunt. And I got 3 of the ostrich type villagers and I loved them all but since then they have moved out.
That almost happened on my southern island. I had a feeling when Nook I was talking to me so I turned the game off without saving and had to go hunting that day. 😅
you wouldn't have gotten Biff or Chadder with these first three. Besides the first two starters of Sisterly and Jock, the other three will always be Normal, Lazy, and Peppy. Idk why that is. But since Chadder is Smug you wouldn't have gotten him here and same goes for Biff since it wasn't gonna autofill to a Jock. Also, I love Broccolo and I think he's cute and while the mice in general aren't favorites to people, I think they all have their own charm.
yeah Chadder and I go waay back and he kinda ruined the mice villagers for me haha XD although Dora is kinda trying to win my heart over: being super nice, always giving me gifts etc. haha! I'm also a sucker for the very generic looking villagers so I cannot say that Dora is a complete disaster... but... the mice... are just not for me XD
So as long as you put down a plot and then go on a hunt it should be fine right?? As long as you don't complete the plot assignment for exterior and interior.
@@malnopenguin4094 Biff is dearly missed on my other island! Just felt bad he had to live in that awful ugly default house.. no one wanted to adopt him obvi because he is no raymond 😔 but I'm sure he is living his best circus life on another island somewhere!
For your first campsite villager, you DO NOT get to choose, it is always a smug. ITom Nook filled m first villager plot because I did not know better, but I went on villager hunts for the other two. I got lucky, the first villager is always a lazy,, and Tom picked SHERB!!
Oh, so this happened to me too. The plots will get automatically filled if you don't find a villager in a certain amount of time. It could be 1-3 days depending on what's going on with your game. I haven't gone on a villager hunt until I got my transforming permit and I just got auto-fills because I was a noob and didn't know wth to do. Autofills are totally normal.
The same thing happened to me I just got done selling a villager that was going to trade out for Apollo on nookazon but it was getting close to 5 and by the time turn off my switch to know that I got accepted by the deal Tom Nook decided to play some random villager in there I'm deciding weather to restart my Village I had so many good things on my Island and now I'm sad because I can't get the Villager I want because not only am I broke and they are out of the amiibo cards I want but now I have to time skip

Drago's really cool for a lazy. I'd been quite happy with him. Patty.... hmmm.... No. I had no idea she's a peppy! XD I did have an autofill for one of the houses. I think I've mentioned it before.... I didn't hunt for a peppy that day (I had no idea only normals, lazies and/or peppies would show up and that when get one of each personality only the one you didn't get already will show up), so the last slot was open.... and it was Audie moving in. XD (didn't know she was "new" but I immediatly fell in love with her and she's still on my island)
I would really like to get Audie one day! 😍 that is really really lucky! Yeah I had no idea this happens if you don't villager hunt before talking to Tom Nook on that day so it was kind of a shock but oh well... also kinda funny! 😂 they will all leave eventually, I'm not too worried and at least they all have the ugly houses now (with the default furniture) so it'll be easy to let them go & also nice that none of the villagers we actually want on the island get those starter homes now... But Drago is definitely a lucky pick! He is cute, I like him!

From my previous island, I got super cute villagers like Zucker, Blueberry, and Olive and they were all auto-filled *never realized that until now* Also, on my previous island I totally forgot I have an open plot and when I played again I saw a new house and yes, I got lucky again it was Lyman. Now, with my new island, I am so so unlucky but then again I have amiibo cards too so I'm okay. I guess...
Zucker, Blueberry, and Olive, nice! Such a great bunch! Olive is actually one of my top dreamies and Lyman is pretty awesome too! Yeah thank goodness for amiibo cards, I wouldn't know what to do without them since I have zero luck on these autofills haha :D ~
Yeah I totally remembered that I was supposed to get the plots done first and then go on a villager hunt 😂😂😅 Oh well but at least even the autofill villagers will ask to move out eventually ^^
I had completely forgotten than in the very beginning of the game you need to go on mystery island before you complete the 3 starter plots otherwise they'll autofill haha 🙈🙈
I only chose one of my villagers and that was aurora. My two other auto fills were Cranston (love him) and dotty (don't like her). Edit: Cranston just moved out and now I have pashmina
