Kinda like how the Sherman was used well into the 1990s. The Swedes used the chassis of the Pz.38 (t) until the 1970s as the Pbv-301 (I think that's the name), an APC.

Because the german invaded chekoslovaquia and used there tanks during WWII. They were easier to produce, more relable and less complicated than german couterpart (panzer II/early panzer III).

True fact 2: Hetzer (botherer) was a generic term used by the German military to refer to units used to harass the enemy, disrupting normal military operations. It was never specifically applied to the Jagdpanzer 38t, but instead referred to its tactical role.

Almost bro The 38M Toldi is based on the Swedish L-60 (basically a Hungarian L-60 with a few changes) You think about the Turan 1-2-3 and Zrínyi 2(+one Zrínyi 1 prototype). The Turans were based on the T-21,but the hun engineers had to rework it, so in this case I can say it's based on the T-21. And the Zrínyi 2 sph is based on the lengthend hull of the turans

there was another design on this chasis after ww 2 made by czech themselves, project for light tank whith 57 mm and sloped frontal hull armor, it was called TNH 57/900, its less modern then swedes but is kinda fun try at revival of its prewar role as light tank

Yes, LT vz. 38 (light tank) was better armored and armed than Pz III (medium tank). Czechoslovakia used to be the top of engineering, that’s why Reich wanted to occupy us so bad.

They didn´t give it to germany.. Czechoslovakia ceased to exist in 1939 after Slovakia became "Independent" fascist state and Czechia fell to Third reich. During the occupation of Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Both ČKD and Škoda ( two major tank manufacturers in Czechoslovakia ) we´re forced to produce vehicles for Wehrmacht.

@@angelpalazzolo1660 No they´re not, they are Czechoslovakian vehicles, Both we´re accpeted into service of Czechoslovakian military before the occupation. It´s like saying the T-55s we´re east german tanks and not soviet, just because they used them.

As far i know hetzer have same chassis as 38t but i can be wrong

There were slight changes to the hull but yes they were built on the old hull in the same factory, to close gaps in the Stug production

I checked an in polish wiki it is right but i will recommend to check in en version

Pz.38 and Pz.35 are czechoslovakian tanks. It´s in their name ( t ) stands for Tschechoslowakei... ( r ) stands for Rusische

Turán was built on the Praga V-8-H medium tank. Never entered service with teh Czechoslovakian military, licence was sold to Hungary just before being occupied by Third reich

But russia lost 30,000+ T-34 tanks alone, the german Stug III had 30,000 kill count and they were around 6,000 - 8,000 stug III manufactured
