This video includes all references that I could find from the animated series, which includes but is not limited to; Pacific Rim, Pacific Rim: Uprising, Pacific Rim comics that are cannon.
The most satisfying element that I've discovered in this anime is that it's not a prequel series like Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous; it takes long after the first Kaiju War and the Uprising, This means that the Pacific Rim universe has expanded and the war between robots and aliens has restarted. Australia is the battle ground this time.
I like that they gave us the fact that Herc Hansen solo drifted, and Taylor chose him so we as the audience could hear the story, But I can't be the only one that really wished he chose Raleigh so we could see his reaction to Raleigh's backstory
Yeah I would have wanted Raleigh since he's my favorite character in all the Pacific rim franchise and I would love to see if backstory and maybe the reference to his brother's death
It would be cool but merging memories with someone who died connected might not be best for his mental health With a sister.. seeing a death of someone else's sibling would very much not be good
The writers of this series must have really checked lore while making those profiles, like lucky seven is listed as a Yeager Hansen pilots which is never mentioned by name in movie and is referenced by a faded logo on Hansen's jacket. That's dedication
The strikers have the same weapon because its a continuation of the line. Thats not a reference, thats just something kept in because its proven effective since Mk5 Striker Eureka
Fun fact: raleigh actually solo drifted two times which caused him to get cancer and so did mako but only mako survived, and for those wondering when was the second time. It was at the end of the first film when he solo piloted for a brief moment into the kaiju dimension
the model is the same, but i believe it's build before Striker Eureka, there's a lot of miss information in Pacific Rim, for an example Stacker said that Eureka is first and last Mark 5 Jaeger, while we can saw Bracer Phoenix in Uprising is a Mark 5, and now we also see Striker Berserker, even wiki told it's an unspecified type but i'm quite sure Berserker is Mark 5
tbh i would love to see atlas use the plasma canon or the typhoon arms or heck even seeing a descendant of rayleigh become part of the team and see a new gypsy jaeger
third jager in the scrap yard was Titian Redeemer, was not destroyed by mega kaiju, it was destroyed alongside Valor omega in the shatterdome , but it's morning star arm was put on Bracer Phoenix
Another thing easter egg we get to see in Season 2 Episode 1, when Mei, Taylor, Hayley arrived at the Near Death Valley to meet a man to help Boy, they have go through straight to a valley where it swarmed by kaijus and we also get to see some Mutavores from the first Pacific Rim are in that valley as well. So that's really cool.
There's a few evangelion references, sound effects also, the ending episode, the Sentries are a direct reference to Evangelion's NERV Base and how Evas are deployed
Almost all of this aren’t references their just him saying what things are and putting similarities between them I’m suprised he didn’t finish with Pacific rim black got its name from pacific rim the movie Edit: Not to kick a dead horse but some of the information is also wrong.
2:01 Wrong, it was the jaeger (forgot name) which was destroyed when the droids attacked the jaeger base. You probably mistaken it because the Phoenix and the other jaeger (still don't know the name) had the same mandible. That jaeger was scrapped and the phoenix got the mandible.
Both Valor Omega and Titan Redeemer just lost their heads. Valor Omega had the head separated from the body and Titan Redeemer had the head crushed (the leg was destroyed too), I don't think building a new head/a new socket and a new leg is as expensive as building a new jaeger.
@@goldbuggaming5513 That's not Horizon Brave, that's Horizon Bravo. Horizon Bravo is a Mark IV built in honor of the original Mark I Horizon Brave, in the same way that the Gipsy Avenger is a tribute to the Gipsy Danger and the Striker Berserker is an homage to the Striker Eureka.
It's Horizon Brave The comment below me is literally wrong Bc if u wikipedia you'll see it's Horizon Brave (If it's Horizon Bravo it has to be a different Marked Jeager etc)
if you’re talking about PR: the Black then yea it’s pretty good it’s very different from the bombastic hopeful spectacle of the first film and is unsurprisingly based off the title: very dark we will never get a third movie so might as well watch all we get from this franchise
@@ploopy45 Look personally I wouldn't mind to see more new jaegers but considering that every other jaeger aside from Atlas Destroyer and Hunter Vertigo just appears on flashbacks or mentions then it would be pointless and disappointing to design new jaegers just to do nothing.
