I have a rough rule of thumb when boat listings significantly increase (not trailer boats but boats from say 850K up) there is a recession just around the corner. Why you ask? simply that those who shell out $Millions for a boat are generally smarter than the average bear - and they recognize when/at what time to dump a non income producing asset whilst they can and they an always pick another boat up when things are Bullish again. I have followed that phenomenon for about 25+ years and the volume of listings for the $million dollar + range is significantly increasing....
Leo, that is a good point and an interesting one. I can't say i disagree with you on some level, but I think its still a bit too early to tell if/when and how close we may or may not be to a recession. Since end of 2021 people have been calling for a crash, and it hasn't happened yet. Only time will tell.
Agreed. There is going be a recession… at some point in the future 😂 The “experts” have been saying it’s going to happen for 2+ years. They’ll keep saying that until it happens and then declare themselves experts again.
Don't discredit your own opinion. There are very few cat focused brokers out there with your experience and attention to the numbers. "The numbers don't lie". You definitely stand out from the crowd! I do miss your walk throughs and boat tours.
