I'm so sad about the Comrade's Hammer nerf... As soon as I jumped into 2.0 I immediately felt "something's not quite right..." Although it really needed the nerf, to be honest, to make other weapons shine too.

St the very least you can jump with it on a cycle as I've seen with others, so if nothing else you can use it to escape from cops (though a simple duck into a store is much easier)

@@maskedman5657 Same here. The Widowmaker was one of my favorite guns in 1.6 but in 2.0, I used it a couple of times and then threw it in the trunk and never touched it again. I did pretty much the same thing with Commrade's Hammer, too. I think what really killed it was losing the perk that doubled it's damage. I hate slow firing weapons so if I'm going to use one, it better one-shot an enemy and it used to do that but not anymore.

A little quirk the Metel (and all power weapons that fire explosive bullets) has, is that if you slot the firecracker mod on it, every shot will trigger pyromania perk, giving you infinite grenades basically

I pair the comrade's hammer with the hand cyberware Microgenerator and it makes it a pretty powerful one shot gun. since every round shot requires reload, every round shot also does massive electrical damage on top of the normal damage it already does. It works well with Ashura too since it's a one shot rifle.

It actually works better on something with a bigger mag (5+ rounds), and with fast fire rate to quickly run through all the ammo, reload and get a hell of a damage from first shot, then repeat

Sam, I finished Cyberpunk (100%) for the 3rd time last week (136 hour playthrough!). I am sad that I'm done. While playing I watched all your videos, they were so fun to watch and really informative. I am really looking forward to playing the game for the 4th time once its stops receiving updates and all the major and smaller mods are updated. So I think like 2 or 3 months then I'll be back. Just wanted to thank you for being the best Cyberpunk youtuber! Keep it up. I will watch all your 2.0 videos again when I play it for the 4th time

Laika is underrated its actually really good it synergizes with 3 trees the pyromaniac grenade tree the tech tree and the revolver tree if you have all 3 you do devastating area of effect dmg just get some armor and cyberware that quickens reload speed and it feels way better

Laika surprised me with how much it whoops ass. I never really used comrades hammer (or revolvers as a whole) pre 2.0 but dude Laika carried me all thru Phantom Liberty/endgame. It does crazy splash damage and knocked everyone off their feet, even without charging it. Tech weapons got insanely fun after 2.0 as a whole I’d say.

You can get the bald eagle if you side with Songbird. Just go up to the room he was in before you leave the building with So Mi there will be a bag on the ground with both Bald Eagle and the LMG.

Roscoe has this REALLY cool knockdown effect though , sends enemies flying back! No other revolver does that and I wish they did

I feel exactly the same, headshots seem to knock foes down quite often (quite useful as crowd control too). Combine that with the fact that shooting enemies on the ground are always crits and that crit damage is increased, it just feels better in my own experience than basically all other revolvers I have tested.

I love it because if you attach a lvl 5 kanetsugu sight on it you get +60% crit damage, which is significant. I would place it higher than archangel or crash, that’s for sure.

Your timing is so good. I just started a deadeye build and picked up Gris Gris to try out automatic bolts. It seems like they thought about it, and even if you manage to land bolts, chain lightning lands only once a few shots.

I just found something very interesting, Taigan with its explosive rounds triggers pyromania, making it very overpowered weapon when combined with heat shield and burn this city perks.

Amnesty is hands down my favorite. Once you have 20 cool it's a beast. Longshot pretty much negates it's shorter range and the fire rate is awesome

I love amnesty, it goes incredibly well with a sandevistan. The gris gris, mancinella and quasar are all also quite good, I'm happy you called out the quasar for how good it can be when properly modded.

Been playing with Rosco for a while. I think the first part of the description is more flavor text that anything. However, shooting most rank and file enemies below the knee does 9 times outta 10 make them trip, allowing you to then dome them and get the guaranteed crit.

right, on the video Sam only seem to fire at a hip, despite a huge target on a feet specifically. you're supposed to fire at that, it's no coincidence it shows up that way as weak spot.

Quick note it took me a while to notice: the Run n Gun capstone perk only applies to pistols, which aren't revolvers, because for some weird reason they're separate

Runnin a Nomad build with Sovereign, Ol’ Reliable and Overwatch with the Apogee sandy and gotta say this shreds everything. May not be the most efficient but having the variety with crit bodyshots with the shotgun to backing off for headshots with the other 2 is nice, plus some mantis blades installed for when Fury procs

Mantis blades are really starting to grow on me, ngl That leap attack lets you bust out a LOT of finishers in no time, despite popular beliefs, it does have it's perks over katanas (and they're way cooler)

Amnesty pairs really well with the Projectile Launch System since shooting it makes you redraw the weapon, resetting the special quickdraw effect.

My favorite revolver in this update is the Ol Reliable because of the perk because the longer the range the more damage you do. I love using this revolver while popping the Apogee Sandy from long range like a sniper. Then headshot them and insta kill them from long range.

By the way you can duplicate the Chimera Core to get one (or multiples) of every unique mod. Just make sure you follow a guide/video on how to do this though as having that extra Chimera Core in your inventory can corrupt your save.

I installed an PC mod today called iconic vendors. Wilson sells all iconics including DLC if you have them. Personally to me Its an immersive NG+ . Cant wait for all of your post 2.0 vids Sam. Your rankings are the best

I put reload sub stats in all of my cyberware slots. Commrade's Hammer is still my baby. It's explosions works with Burn This City perk for the extra charges of the Projectile Launch System arms very nicely.

Ran a new game with stealth and revolvers in mind (the stipulation being - only pistols, revolvers and smg's for that V). A basic overture was more than enough for my needs as a weapon for active combat, but when Archangel stepped in - the contest was over. Turns out, with just a little thinning of the herd beforehand and a bit of mobility, plus the good old apogee, the wallpunching isn't needed since you can just line up headshots at blazing fast speeds. Actually had a way harder time with my choice of stealth pistol for that build, with 3 contenders for the first place - two basic pistols with a XC-10 Cetus silencer and mods - Nue and Tamayura and one iconic - Her Majesty, used mostly due to sentimentality (aaaaand the fact that these 3 absolutely obliterate with headshots, so with somewhat simmilar damage, I might as well use the iconic).

Yeah the damage drop sucks. However it has a new utility thanks to patch 2.0. You can use the Comrades Hammer to do big Motorcycle Jumps. While riding a motorcycle, aim the Comrades Hammer a little bit in front of your front tire and the impact will cause your motorcycle to jump fairly high

@@thomgizzizit is a revolver , the chamber is just feed by a magazine, there are two real world revolvers that functions this way ,the Dardic revolver and a really cool old Russian prototype revolver

@@joshpeace2673 There is a reason why there is a prototype and a single actual model that had less than 100 of them made. Also the revolving part of the cyberpunk gun doesn't revolve which makes it difficult for it to be a revolver.

The Comrade's hammer restored mod brings back the wall piercing ability plus changing the last line of the .lua for the mod from 0.1 to 10 brings back the prenerf damage.

DOOM DOOM can be picked up from the black market gun dealer if you don't ally with Maelstrom. no idea when it transfers to the black market, but that's how I picked it up in my playthrough.

Also I believe the rosco headshot thing o my works if the leg shot knocks them down, I recommend shooting at the calf or knee as I notice they fall over more often IMO

You can get two mod slots on any weapon I believe. You just need time, patience and luck to either find one or get a vendor to sell one. I think spinetickler and equalizer are the best mods for tech weapons including headtoll for the nekomata. Two legendary spinetiklers seem to guarantee shock with every full charged/bolt shot.

Oh, wow, I'm honestly shocked you rated the Laika as low as you did. I started a new playthrough when 2.0 came out, building for netrunner and pistols, and Laika was my first unique in PL... And I haven't unequipped it since I got it. No matter what weapon I try, I just keep coming back to Laika.

Your actually wrong about Rosco, in your footage your shooting upper leg you need to shoot lower then they go onto a knee and you can instantly eliminate them, just aim better

I like Comrades Hammer with sandevestian to line up shots. Or as an opener on a bunch of explosive barrels. The other time-slow effect (dashing while aiming) works great too.

I still main the Comrade's Hammer in 2.0, since my new build focus is on the Doomlauncher perk, and CH's explosive rounds are one of the few weapons that innately help stack Pyromania.

as someone who started after 2.0 and mostly runs grenade builds comrads hammer is my go to option for close range combat on very hard the midigation you get from explosive dmg + the instant reload makes it the best shotgun a pryomaniac could ask for

The first time I played cyberpunk, I was mainly a stealth build. The second time I just wanted to be a tank and it was fun with the comrade's hammer. But they released 1.6 during my playthrough. I was almost done with the playthrough with just the River storyline and the final mission left. And now, there is phantom liberty to play. I dropped the game after the nerf and I just picked it back up a week ago. With a couple of new perks, I still OSK so I am happy. And if i get overwhelmed, I just whip out my Sovereign.

Laika with Alabai is absolutely devastating- a good strat is opening with ranged shots from laika from cover and then moving in with Alabai and mopping up already burning enemies with the benefit of increasing criticals. As a standalone I see the downsides but part of the pairings with the other drop weapons as you mentioned is satisfyingly broken.

Comrade's Hammer gets better if using the Pyromania perk. Still not its pre 2.0 glory, but it pairs up nice with using Doom Launcher and the Relic upgrades for the Projectile Launch System as you can keep Pyromania going.

I actually may have an idea why the Mancinella is suppressed. It could work like the Nagant revolver. Which have special rounds and pushes the cylinder against the barrel creating a seal of sorts that ,if you were to attach a suppressor to would make it far more quieter

I think we need to have your guide of best weapon type to build too. The fact that they took away one shot kill comrade hammer and Archangel now at top make me think it would be better to go for shotguns or smg than spending att. pnt. to cool tree.

Even if you side with Songbird, you can still get Kurt’s Revolver and LMG from the black maker vendor in the Arena if you missed looting it off his corpse, and while it’s pretty amazing with Fang, it still functions as a pretty decent Revolver on its own.

The new Metal is SO much fun. Haven't tried it on higher difficulties, but it sounds just like Johnny's pistol and the explosive rounds made me enjoy having it for the long portion of the game before getting the actual pistol from Johnny

Quasar has a nice bonus that wasn't mentioned in this video: as a handgun, it can be fired from a vehicle. You can head shot drivers straight through vehicles. Awkward angle? Armor instead of windows? No matter - just punch right through! This is a brilliant sidearm for a tech sniper, since you are already speccing into tech and cool for the neko rifle anyway, and it really is nice when driving!

I belive Rosco is working as intended, with the knockdown with the consideration is has the always crit on enemys on the ground added to it. So the combo would be leg, hedshot for knockdown and another on the ground for the crit. seeing as the whole shtick of the gun is being stylish.

I find that the Archangel with all the related cool perks and apogee sandy plus the axolotl and deep field visual interface cyberware the best revolver build imo as demolishes every single enemy short of some mini bosses and hansen. Time your headshots right and make sure to activate sandy+deadeye mode with lvl 60 shinobi and you can bring back the infinite sandy build like the ones pre 2.0

For Comrade's Hammer, it has another hidden ability of sorts... that still doesn't make it worth using IMO, but here it is; equip it while riding a motorcycle, then shoot into the ground, you are now airborne, and can use this to just jump over regular cars or similar size obstacles. If you use motorcycles a lot (and doesn't everyone that don't mod the vehicle handling basically?) it may be worth just keeping in your inventory for that. Especially since you can so easily get sky-high carry capacity now with shards. Otherwise really good list and video, looking forward to the other weapon types!

I was a netrunning, revolver and shotgun weilding stealthrunner before i found all of the overclock builds (had never even used overclock until a couple of months ago) and unmodded Overture was my Malorian To be fair I put basically all points into tech int and reflexes

with ol reliable if you swap to headhunter and nail an enemy in the head then swap to ol reliable not only do you get a 200% headshot bonus from headhunter but all the bonuses from the pistol itself on top of its baseline bonuses if you throw in things like reboot optics/cyberware malfunction thats a hefty boost in damage up to 460 or 470% headshot bonus with everything in cool maxed out ie deadeye/focus

That is true, since it is a Voodoo Boy Weapon and Voodoo Boys are Haitians and their Language is influenced by French: if you pronounce it gree-gree like a French Person then you have the 100% correct Pronounciation of it.

Glad dr12 is higher on the list was one my favorite revolvers before 2.0 love using it especially farming for the legendary version that lets you fire two extra rounds sadly that been removed

The roscos description should be more descriptive; neutralize in this context means knock them down, which is why the pistol deals guaranteed crits on downed enemys.

Taigan followed by Errata, then followed by Byakko for cleanup if need be is my current load out for my Cool+Reflexes Sandevistan build. Unload Taigan into as many enemies as I can to proc the burn damage, switch to Errata for the guaranteed crits (I know the machete would technically do more damage but the slower speed drives me nuts), whoever’s left gets the fury of Byakko in hyper speed.

I'd put the baseline Burya a bit higher simply due to it's absurdly high per-shot damage. I enjoy it as a sidearm for a Sandevistan stealth build, since that plus deadeye makes headshots extremely easy and you can continue 1-tapping enemies with it after getting detected.

Finally got Doom Doom today for the first time. Took quite a few reloads to get the drop but....I'm impressed. I'm on a stealth build but instead of a suppressed Lexington, I'm just gonna stick to blades/knives and have Doom Doom for the moments when I get caught.

Rosco is a pretty damn badass revolver. when I play with it, enemies simply get stunned and fall to the ground in a very hilarious and stylish manner. and it takes a few seconds for them to get back up. basically it gives you plenty of time to reload and finish them off afterwards with a headshot.

for survivability, try mixing both armour and mitigation. You'll be able to take waaay more damage than just maxing out armour. Combining that with the biomon and blood pump gave my cool stealth build a solid few seconds of RoboCop.

I can see a Sandevisten build with 2 knifes and the Amnesty going insane, enter combat with the Amnesty and then after a few shots, throw a knife or two, and then immediately back to the headshot multiple

I could barely see this video through the tears. Comrade, the damn corpo MONSTERS have ruined you. Im really glad that rl and other games left me little time to play cyberpunk, because i fully intended to make my first 2.0 build a Comrade Hammer build. Now I still have time to pivot to a different build before getting too deep into the game. Thank you for having the bravery needed to bring us this terrible, terrible news.
