MTB being on paved is also true in Indonesia. Maybe because people begin to cycle as a sport, during the MTB boom. Or, MTB is just cheaper and safer than road bikes of the time.
Nice video! You explained the advantages of gravel bikes really well. When I see someone riding on a gravel in terrain, it looks like it must be really uncomfortable. I always think "just get a hardtail" or something. But I guess gravel is faster on better roads, and like you said, sometimes you can't have two bikes. Btw, usually for the price of one gravel, you could easily get like two mid tier MTBs 😄 Probably because gravel is the hot trend now.
Thanks for the video, very informative. I love gravel riding as well but the closest I can ride in my neighborhood is a very technical MTB trail. If I wanted to ride proper gravel, it will be at least an hour trip for me by car just to get to the trailhead. Living in a city can be a bummer sometimes. I mainly have 2 bikes, one road (but can still fit 700x35c not-too-knobby gravel tires) and a cyclocross bike that I've fitted with 650bx45c gravel tires and it rides like wow. Big tires for gravel are a must! Anyway, that bike of yours is a beauty. What's the tire clearance on that? Thanks again for the vid!
I like how you go into the basics and essentials of cycling. The adaptation of your bike instead of buying another, the exploration and trying different cycling "styles", managing resources! we all know how expensive cycling has turned last couple of years. All-around bikes are indeed the most versatile bike one can have, always considering our surroundings and where we live, where we can go and ride, etc. Nice video man :)
