I love soloplayersmatter. Ive never liked online stuff, especially Star Wars, I like to chill and don’t like to think I’m getting judged and stuff. I never knew you could play as Jedi and Sith in offline mode, my game is downloading now, so I can’t wait to chill as darth Vader in arcade. Correct me if darth vader isn’t in offline mode, guess I’ll find out. Thanks for clarifying what is accessible in offline mode. I played the original battlefront on PS2 so this is a big upgrade.
Darth Vader is in single player. I think the old Battlefront is still better, but this is still good, and the new one does some things better than the old one.
Hi, I’m thinking about getting battlefront 2 for Xbox one..which version should I get the first version, the deluxe trooper edition or celebration? Can I buy a physical disc copy of celebration or is it a download only? I like to play offline & want to play against bots.. also, are any of the downloads free?
@@xwaiz2805 I have the first version of BF 2 (the one that been released in 2005). I enjoy it a lot playing with the bots in instant mode. Is there any similar gameplay in this new battlefront II? Can I still enjoy it like the old one?
@@impulso_de_vida Well, the *starfighter mode* is pretty lame, you can't go inside enemy ships like in the old Battlefront, but you can fly hero ships, like Darth Maul's ship, and the Millennium Falcon. Unlike the old Battlefront, you can't fight as *indigenous tribes* like the Gungans or Tuskens. You can only play as the main two factions in each trilogy. There is a cool mode called *Ewok Hunt* where you can play as a Stormtropper on Endor, or an Ewok doing guerilla warfare. As for the *heroes, a lot of the old Battlefront heroes like Mace Windu, Aayla Secura, Jango Fett, Ki-Adi Mundi, Asajj Ventress, and Kit Fisto are not present in the new Battlefront game. However the lightsaber combat* for the heroes in the new Battlefront game is more fleshed out than the old Battlefront. You can deflect lasers better with your lightsaber, and there are moves that can break your opponent's defense. Plus there's more *force moves* in the new Battlefront, such as Heroic Might for Anakin, Mind Trick for Obi-Wan, Chain Reaction for Sidious and some OP ass move for Rey.
I'm a huge star wars fan but had avoided this game due to lack of single player content, this video was a huge help in my decision to buy it thanks RLG!
I recently got the game and have no issue finding active multiplayer games. However, I know that this won't last forever so it's nice to know that there is offline content to keep me entertained
I found this game on sale and was wondering if it had single player other than the campaign---this video explained everything I needed to know, thank you.
Same as above, i was under the impression that this game was mostly online... Bought Battlefront 2 and Fallen Order on the playstation store, current sale, total for both was about 17$.
I just recently bought mine as well and im wondering if you can customize your armor and skills without having to earn star cards online. Also, do you need to play online to level up characters offline?
@@chazzthaspazz4475 It is pretty fun to do; cause sometimes while I'm playing in single player; I accidently screw up at times. Like a Storm trooper trying to fight a Jedi.
On PC, there’s a mod where Instant Action Missions are 20 v 40 and it’s difficult even on Rookie because imagine being in the final phase and fighting 40 enemies.
This is why I love battlefront 2, one of the best games that's ever been made. I'm also glad to know that it's not the only games that offering free content, Minecraft and Call of Duty Modern Warfare are also releasing free content. I also believe the next Call of Duty (Cold War) will be releasing free content as well, it's safe to say that many games in the future will have this type of system.
I think it needs another patch just to sort out issues with the AI and we should push the Devs for a response to this, last patch stated improved AI behaviour at post E on Death star 2 but this does not seem to have improved, also major issues with AI getting stuck on pits in hangers on this map in mission attack and today came across two enemy hero's and I think 2 troopers stuck in a tiny hole on the hoth map, luckily they were on the opposing side so could eventually kill them but ruined immersion and AI seems to be getting worse over time, any patch would not be new content but would be for bugs and stability and I think is needed asap
I don't have this game, nor the system required, but these modes make Battlefront 2 so much fun! Arcade mode especially. UPDATE: I have it, and Onslaught makes no sense! On one hand, Onslaught is where thousands of Ultra Instinct clankers gang up on you! On the other, if you try a Starfighter Onslaught, and you're almost nearing the end, the enemy starfighters prefer to waste your time by not showing up at all!
Well now I am completely sold (hahaha) on getting this game. Thank you SO much. Yes, I hope this movement continues when Star Wars Battlefront 3 comes out.
Nothing to play....BF2 on Epic, one of those free games I never played. Scrolling through Steam, and it says "Singleplayer". I was one of those guys believing, its Multiplayer only indeed!
I managed to beat it on Expert even with half my squad stuck in these damn pits. Required Leia and generous use of denotators *plus* my patience. The worst map is Endor, however. Seriously, try to attack it on Expert. Half your squad will get stuck in the forest, and those that do go to the upper level of the final chamber can't jump their way down. It's always a massacre.
I believe Supremacy's Death Star II is less bad since the last patch. Supremacy as a whole doesn't have much of a problem because the bots are always moving around so anyone stuck is inevitably shot down and can respawn. On Missions Attack however the action is fully focused on a single area, so anyone stuck far behind will remain there forever.
Best case would make Missions Attack have impassable areas just like Missions Defend. So bots stuck in the back areas will be eventually killed for being out of bounds and can respawn afresh.
ahhaahhaaha sweet your just like me! i play offline when i want an AT-TE on felucia in instant action! and, to get the AT-TE on felucia you need to capture point a, and be the clones side, nothing else
Thanks for making this! Super helpful. All due respect to multiplayer people, but I’ve always been a solo sort of gamer. I considered the latest Star Wars RPG, but I wanted the ability to choose different maps & characters. Could you please tell me if there’s a way to do the lightsaber duels offline? I’ve heard of them online... maybe in Arcade mode? Thanks again.
@@RLGlitchGaming this is probably late to ask but I'd assume I have to update the game to get instant action as I can't see it I just got the game today
Man, I wish I knew this earlier. I was one of the people who thought it was only multiplayer. If the game would only come to GoG it would be completely perfect.
Thanks for this man! I miss the old PS2 battlefront games for this exact reason and I was deeply disappointed in battlefront 1 but I'm definitely going to buy this game now! It looks amazing 😁 great video man, keep it up!
Thank you so much for the video. It helped me discover just how much offline content there is. This game is in a weird spot because there’s a ton of content and lots of features to be enabled but it’s very clear that multiplayer is the full experience of the game. Considering I’m playing on PlayStation, I suppose at some point I’ll just cave in for ps plus at some point to experience galactic assault and starfighter assault.. until I can get a PC that’s powerful enough to play this game.. but even the mods aren’t 100% perfect for offline on those modes either
Which version did you buy? The 1st, deluxe trooper edition or celebration? I don’t know which one to buy.. is it worth buying the deluxe trooper edition if you have to download celebration anyway? What does the deluxe trooper edition bring that’s different ? Im confused 🤦🏻♂️ please help..I like to play offline & would like to play arcade and instant action against bots..
I would've never downloaded SWBF2 it wasn't for this review. Bought Star Wars Battlefront 2015 yesterday and now I already bought SWBF2 for the first time. Thanks man!
Thank you for making this video. I still haven't played this game but I might after I finish all of the good single player games on PlayStation 4. I'll either buy this or one of the two newer Call of Duty games (not Vanguard).
I was a bit unsure since I made a mistake buying 2015 Battlefront game which lacked so much offline content. I didnt want to make the same mistake, like why cant they release all maps and modes that exist in multiplayer online to exist for offline gamemodes, its why the old school battlefront games are loved. But I'll think about it to perhaps buy battlefront 2
Personally, I think the og Battlefront 2 is still the superiour offline game, simply because all modes are available offline and there is more variety.
This game is bursting with content. It is a huge improvement over the 1st Battlefront for PS4, which barely has any single player content at all. However it doesn't quite hold a light to the OG battlefront 2 for PS2...
Hi! great videos. new to the game here. Can you level up cards and classes via single player (Instant Action)? if not, are the cards already unlocked like arcade mode? thx in advance for your answer.
1 Dislike is probably from Blazur 🤣 Guess we don't have to worry about him anymore. He never appeared on the official forums again after they announced Instant Action, since all his arguments about AI being too difficult to program, DICE having to focus on multiplayer, and single-player games being dead went out the window when that happened. He didn't even take the opportunity to say goodbye when the official forums were closed. 😥After all we'd been through together...
I was a big fan of the original Battlefront I and II. I bought the new one almost as soon as it came out. Played a little and gave up, because the single player sucked. I'm glad it's back.
Yo so I’m just starting playing this game… (very late to the party) I’m looking to practice my 1v1 skills and I’d like to learn the feel of each character without actually playing online for it
Multiplayer is just way too sweaty and unfun now, I really wish I played more before these final updates. I really like singleplayer, but I wish you could still unlock milestones. Since old master maul is basically impossible to get from supremacy or GA, coop is the only way I can get enough dark side kills. I fantasize that EA allows community development, like custom games, custom maps, and custom heroes/reinforcements. All you would have to do is download them from like nexus, or something. The fact they pulled support upset me, to have fun in games I resort to other titles like halo, but I wish there was a singleplayer game of star wars like a stealth based agent game. I personally think EA should really look into singleplayer content more, but they just want to capitalize on multiplayer, which all the COD OG’s are gonna pay for since fps fans complain about microtransactions YET THEY STILL BUY THEM. Like most people in this comment section, I have always liked singleplayer, or cooperative multiplayer. There was that one coop bug where a player was on the opposite team. It happened to me and this dude with a high level finn just tore apart everyone. I also experienced that, and it was on felucia. Damn my comment got long
How do you get more maps and instant action as I’ve only played offline and I only have 2 modes (onslaught and team battle) and I also want star fighter arcade also how do you get “Resurrection”?
Good one - ThanQ. Loved the old PS2 OG's. Was rather bummed trying the last Battlefront. Had to try this one just loading up on XOne. May the Force Be With Us...& the Shwartz! & Epstein didnt kill Himself.
Advantages of Online Multiplayer: Teammates that could potentially pull off sick strats and trickshots. Disadvantages of Online: Teammates could be absolute crap or trolls. Lag. Advantages of Offline: Teammates will ALWAYS try to complete the objective and have potentially perfect aim. Chooses a place to spawn instantly and will always be at least decent at heroes. Disadvantages: They're AI, they don't really do anything special strat-wise and can get stuck in certain areas.. More taxing on the console/computer. This is how I see it at least. I'm fine with either, though I haven't done much offline outside of Campaign.
Hello friend, hey, I don't know if you knew, but there is a little snap action bug on the ajan kloss map, where emperor palpatine doesn't appear as an enemy enemy AI hero, nor does he appear as an allied hero, and only the player can. I use, but the AI does not, but in TAKODANA, JAKKU, BASE STARKILER, if it appears, but I do not know if it is normal that it does not appear in ajan kloss, greetings friend and thanks for reading : D
@@zakaryperrin7126 only fell short cause EA put the axe to it and stopped the major support in favor for their far less successful Battlefield crap...🙄😒
In terms of variety, hell yes. But I still prefer the 2017 game just because of the AI. On Expert it is better than the average player with some insane aimbot. Gives a real challenge.
Are heroes limited to specific maps? Or are we supposed to be able to play any of them anywhere? I find that I can't play some of the ones I want on certain maps :,(
Question: I’m thinking of getting battlefront 2 for Xbox one for the first time..which version should I get, the 1st version, the deluxe trooper edition or celebration? Can you buy a physical copy of celebration? Is celebration a download only? Is it free or do you have to pay for this? Don’t know what to buy! Please help..
the fact that they could make all that singleplayer content for battlefront 2 but not for the battlefield saga (as they did in the past with battlefield 2) pisses me off a little. BTW, Epic games is gonna be giving battlefront 2: celebration edition for free, jan 14 2021.
@@RLGlitchGaming Yea sadly I think that would be my minimum threshold for single player being worth putting my time and fun into. I am glad though that they did listen. It gives me a little hope that for the next entry we might see such things again. It just sucks because games like this, or even games like Dissidia Final Fantasy or even torchlight. They all get fanbases that are strong and loyal but they expect improvements and innovations on t he reasons they loved these games in the first place. You would think throwing all of that out would be a bad idea nearly 100% of the time. If you value and want to nuture and grow that fanbase you would want to continue to appeal to them lol. In this case that would mean deepening rpg style progression, making wider more expansive sp/mp galactic conquest style modes. Then that online mp compettive style modes would just be gravy on the potato train. But making the main focus just online mp with a progression system tied to online and tied to microtransactions. You have in essence cut 80-90% of what the decades long fanbase desires out of the series. ugh lol.
I have not played this in long time with all the updates glad see single player got love I remember mutiplayer got more but single just topped that now I just got it for 5 bucks on Xbox
@@RLGlitchGaming it's your video that helped me decide I need a good bot match game I remember battlefront is good bot a.i seems smarter in some match's
I just need to be 100% sure before actually buying that game, every multiplayer modes are available "offline" (the enemies being bots instead of other players)? Because the campaign story sucks.
I played the original star wars battlefront 2 made in 2005 and yes the original was good at the time but you can't lie the saber and shooting is better in this
