I drew all the scugrats. Rain World downpour spoilers
Anyways I'm personally really into long speedpaints so I drew this with the intention of making it into one - normally i would NOT render characters one by one as it would cause style inconsistencies (which are full on display in this piece, but whatever)
I also picked a song for each of the scugs. I hope the respective song owners have fun sharing the 10 dollars i make from an average youtube video uwu

i really like how the colours get colder further up closer to saint, thematically makes sense to the ice age and the tone of the story too, and makes a very nice gradient

This looks really amazing! I like Hunter and Arti the most because I think it’s cool how their poses make it feel like they’re in movement. Also poor Spearmaster, they tried to hide in the scug pile but 5P still found them

The song choices were fantastically on point in this, and I always enjoy getting to see a speedpaint on a subject I like. Seeing how much of each slugcat's character and story come through, you did great. Love the little monk trying to keep his little blue from going in on those bigger lizards, and the details on Spearmaster, poor guy's gonna need to be carried somewhere safe after that.

This Is one of the best speedpaints I’ve ever seen: 1: the art is AMAZING. I would buy that. It’s lovely and dynamic 2: the painting lineless style is interesting to look at. Honestly the speedpaint itself could be a lil reference point for lineless styles 3: the color palette slowly turning cold as it gets to saints campaign and overall darker tones in some campaigns 4: spearmasters blood apears white, which I think is canon? 5; the pups look like looking at Arti is probably a favorite placement here 6: the music choices lining up with the slugcats being drawn Seriously, probably my favorite speedpaint video, it actually kept my attention , the more i look the more i catch details Fantastic work

Yes. Spearmaster’s blood is, in fact, white. It can be seen dripping from spearmaster’s wound after pebbles rips out the pearl.

I love the detail that Spearmaster's blood is white, as it can be seen after Pebbles tears the pearl out of him. I also loved the music choice for each slugcat. My favorites being the first song, and the last song. The first song I immediately recognized as a PvZ song (I thought it was a remix or mash), but upon looking into it further, it was actually a song composed by the composer of PvZ. Music by her will always be loved by me, and it also fits Survivor rather well! The second song really fit well for Saint and for the conclusion. Especially the conclusion, it really hit me emotionally with the feeling of "this is the end." It probably also helps that the end reminded me of World of Goo, another ost I absolutely adore.

My theory how Arti's pups are here and arti still has the scar is, she found that they hadn't died somehow, the scavs didn't kill the one left behind and the other one washed up on some shore still able to breath. gourmand found both of them and became dad, later they ran into arti for a reunion
