The recent animation of Deku's smash are getting much better in visualization, im suprised not many ppl ever compliment about it. I mean Deku looks spectacular when he delivered his smash now.
Superhuman durability seems to be a bonus quirk for all villains, while the heroes lose limbs the villains only get bruises even when the heroes hit them with everything.
@@offensiveGame-Ing bruh... no quirk based form trained Deku can lift heavy stuff too, like all people in mha universe is capable of superhuman feats with only there based body because they adapt it from generational mutation. Like deku can lift a whole fridge, all might or even move a vehicle. During his whole 10 months training arc XD
What villian? All of them had reasons to be taking in 100% hits. I'm not gonna include the ones where he used 5 - 20% because those are liveable. Muscular legit has tons of muscles to take in the ofa hits, overhaul was taking 100% hits only AFTER he got some extra power from milking peoples quirks. Deku wasn't even hitting his main body either. After that, nothing noteworthy happens. Villians are just genuinely stronger.
Tbh I would be more terrified of a buffed up superhero flexing a pose like that and coming at me on a supersonic speed, than a kid winding up a super powered punch.
For those saying that the animation got weaker, its all because of his Full Cowl power which allows him to control the release and not break his arm, which means he is giving it weaker punches so that he can fight longer.
The first fight between Deku and Muscular is by far my favorite. Something about him coming back from near defeat to save the young boy and how he pulled out all the stops for a 1,000,000% release is amazing to me.
The mill percent is my only complaint, I know one of the things about this show is to go beyond but deku should have won with just 100% because he’s likely never even gonna had the million again
@@Koopkiris probably yeah, but the strength should still be around actual 100% because his arm is broken (and therefore weaker) and in no world will I ever accept a broken arm 100% hits the same as an unbroken arm 100%
@@iamanidotbutalsoiamxavier5071 you're right, although in the sports fest we saw that even though his fingers were broken he was still using 100% flicks due to the adrenaline
Dekus 100% smashes looked so powerful in the earlier seasons, a lot more than the ones he used in the recent fight against Shigaraki even though he is supposed to be a lot stronger LMAO.
like the one above me said, the manga does have way more detail and destruction from his smashes much later on, but I think the focus was control and more into the attack potency of his smashes than them just being more or less very heavy gusts of wind plus if we saw that detail now it wouldn’t really look realistic, we don’t get much situations of him destroying stuff with them that aren’t people, and for those who are against people they’re simply just durable enough to tank his attacks without much of the force getting past them, at least in S3 and beyond.
@@aashboi6346 The English dub is pretty good but I think the Japanese dub just has a different energy to it, and you have to remember that most anime are made in Japan so they will obviously be in the native language so that could be why the English dub sounds strange because someone has had to change it from Japanese to English 🤷♂️
Bro i know, it reminds me of the overhaul ending when he was in the sky and all those massive fists formed behind him. That one is my favorite personally but the one from world heroes is a close second.
Bro you could hear it in his voice, this was not a Deku fighting to save, no he was fighting to win. Hell he seemed to just get more and more pissed with every momment he wasn’t winning.
Just stopping by to comment how i love the sound of deku's punches powering up, the crackling of bakugou's explosions getting ready to pop, and todoroki's ice racing and _shlinging_ as it forms. such satisfying quirk sfx.
Announcing the attack kinda gets annoying though. "One for all: Full Cowl: Shoot Style" Especially when all it means is that he's kicking and that full cowl is already his default state.
Yeah I love that they circled back to the Delaware smash especially because it's one of his only original smashes aside from St Louis and Manchester and maybe Wyoming
It's weird how at 13:33 he was able to produce a smash so powerful it blew away hundreds of trees and caused a gigantic explosion without breaking any bones, but when he fought shigaraki at 100% the shockwaves weren't nearly as strong.
@@Kamalmazen-pn5ei In chapter 285, if you look at the very first smash Deku pulls off in the panel, it causes a massive wave of destruction over the city
are you talking about the one where they're fighting in the sky? i guess that's because they're in the sky and the ground is pretty much leveled, so the studio didn't make it a priority to invest in animating huge shockwaves in the interest of time and money?
The smashes only look weaker now because he is now facing opponents that are much stronger, so a 100% blow against shigaraki looks a lot smaller than up against overhaul
I’m in love with MHA since I binged all seasons and movies. It’s easily in my top 5 all time. The writing is so good and the amount of raw emotion it drips with gets me everytime.
Man, I always cry when Deku fight since the Second movie. He was determined to sacrifice his own dream to save people. A boy who never had a chance to realize his dream. He is a TRUE HERO!
4:44 Its funny how deku literally states that his hit will only be 5% yet iida says nothing after... If i was someone from his class i would had asked him long time ago considering how frecuently he says those things
I assume it's because Iida has seen Deku unleash his maximum output multiple times up to this point that he doesn't need to ask him what a 100% looks like.
Deku earn my respect after i saw mha 2 movie the felling of him to save a child and to protect the whole by losing his dream to be a hero even giving his life on line also bakugo I hope to see deku being the world greatest hero
If Deku studied striking styles like Boxing, Kyokushin and/or Muay Thai, he would be unstoppable. His combinations would be devastating. Reliance on single strikes can be a weakness against stronger foes who knows how to fight.
The bigger issue is that in order for him to get those combos he has to reduce the amount of OFA power that goes into each one. It has been shown that multi-hit combos (outside of that one-off two peice combo against muscular) that combos are naturally weaker in scale.
From this video you can see the rather obvious change in animation quality from season 2-season 5/6, since even tho s6 was meant to be epic af, alot of the earlier scenes seem wayyyyyy cooler. This took me back to why I loved this anime in the first place lmao
Deku was shown to be pretty much insane during the fight with Flect Turn. My bet is that that was his prime strength or maybe even stronger since the movies aren’t Canon.
@@TheGstar-bz9qf excluding all his other quirks, I think that was OFA in its purest form for deku. Man was using 100% remember that. But since he’s a kid and OFA increases in power every single battle, he has no limit.
Nah movie 1 is cannon as per the villain hunt arc and movie 3 definitely feels like something to come out of the Endeavour Agency arc 2 cannonically makes no sense and might not be cannon
@@stevenquartzcutiepiedemayo8272 I feel elements of movie 2 might be cannon but what kind of sets it back is the ending becuase that doesn't make any sense.
@@WhoTao-nm1uw The only thing that kinda sets it back for me as unrealistic is the fact that during the fight Deku's body at the time still isn't strong enough to handle OFA even at 100%. So he would end up injuring himself. However in the film he only gets injured by Flect Turn and the lasers and NOT by his own body. Because at this point in time it's during the Endevour Agency arc in which Deku is comfortably at 10-15% of his power but can reach up to 20% if he pushes himself. Whenever Deku has used full cowling at 100% (apart from in recent events) he would end up injuring himself so it doesn't really make sense that the films don't really show that at all. Like during Deku vs Overhaul when he had to use Eri so he wouldn't injure himself while fighting which is obviously before Endevour Agency. Or even Deku vs Shigaraki which happens in the PLF arc which is the arc right after Endevour Agency therefore after the film. When he was at 100% attacking Shigaraki while injuring his body both on the ground with Wyoming smash before Deku unlocked float and even when in the air he still injured himself using OFA more than Shigaraki had done. I still don't think you should exclude all his other quirks I just don't think that's OFA's purist form anymore seen as the other quirks melded into it's core. Which is why i said later events in the manga was a bit more accurate to his strength. Even then during the movie Deku had Blackwhip already although he didn't use it in the fight which was odd... as he had mastered it at that point. But if you want what I think is Deku's "purist form" of OFA without the added quirks than I guess it would be during Deku vs Overhaul as he doesn't have the limit of hurting himself due to Eri's quirk so he was able to mostly go all out. He still had the kid on his back after all lol. Hence the title infinite 100% being used for the title of ep/chapter Deku first used it. I could be wrong entirely but I feel like this is by far the closest Deku has gone "purely" without the quirks.
bro the manga would've ended right there roflmao everybody woulda just packed it up and called it a day at that point. Just imagine how many things from that point in the story onward would've been *so much easier* if he'd had the level of control he has at this point in the story. Pre AFO buff Shigaraki? - Put in a pack and smoked. All the various movie villains since then? - Smoked instantly. Overhaul? - Gets these hands before Lemillion ever gets a chance to get fucked up. Hell, he could've teamed up with All Might against AFO and fuckin nuked his ass from orbit. Bam, main BBG packed up, call it a day, shows over.
despite the fact that deku wanted to win 100% vs shoto, he always managed to control ofa when directly hitting him showing how much he cares about his friends
Remember when he used full power smahes and it actually did something? now in season 6 he used a full powered smash against shigaraki and the dude just bit it. didnt even make a shockwave
@@bekhent9289 still, shigaraki caught it after he threw the attack, so where did the shockwave go? also, i might be remembering wrong but i couldve sworn he used 100% to try to save someone. also, most of the smashes in season 3 were 20% and they still made GIANT shockwaves
Deku: *Nearly knocks Todoroki off the ring by using smash with a broken finger* Also Deku: *Doesn't knock Todoroki off the ring after landing a direct punch to his stomach*
@@Thedemonlord4642 Guess that makes sense, but it's so crazy that they might've actually killed each other with that last clash if Cementoss hadn't intervened.
@@cutelittlefoxmakomo7918 actually I’m pretty sure deku used a palm thrust which caused a large gust of wind instead of a direct hit which would be more lethal
10:39 The fact that All Might has a New Hampshire Smash. And Deku has a Manchester (New Hampshire) smash is always been super cool to me! Considering most Americans don’t even know where my home state is on a map. 😂
To be honest most people who talk like that don't even get storytelling and literally judge how good a story is by how well animated the explosions are, don't bother with idiots
Watching this makes me remember how much work he's put in to make it to where he is now. I could never figure out why some people call him a bad protagonist
This was kind of a quick recap for me! Im so freaking hyped for season 7! This helped me remember what happend. Season 7 comes to the us may 4th! For me that tomorrow! Im so hyped!
This vid shows how far he's come, really proud of Midoriya for pulling through every casualties he faced, even though it took a lot of sacrifices. A true hero indeed.
I miss the shockwave impact it had. Now it's depicted as mere one dimensional shockwaves that travel through the air. Before they used to be shown as these tornado-like air currents. I miss those times.
