“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation." Isaiah 12:2 ESV
While All the Poor and Powerless and Great are You Lord are fine songs, I wish more people would know more of All Sons and Daughters' more obscure songs. This song, Called me Higher, and Rest in You are some of my absolute favorites from them.
These songs they say were inspired by the lives of several saints, try reading about the lives of the saints they were inspired by. They mention it in the song story. Its encouraging.
I thank the Lord Jesus for this song and I often vent with this song ....through 6 months of depression .... through other inexplicable pains .....I come back here to tell myself one thing ....for all things are created by Him through Him and for Him ....and all things hold together by Him .... And just when I think my world is falling apart I know He holds it all together ....
I was useless but you lifted me high! Abba Father, my Holy father! Thank you for being my strength! My SOng! My Father and my God! My Salvation. You Hold it all together!
It feels like an ocean of sorrow is under my skin Even the ocean eventually meets with the sand Sorrow on sorrow, I’m waiting Heavy I’m anticipating Trusting the current, will carry meYou are my strength You are my song You are my salvation You hold it all together You hold it all togetherWe come with great expectations, and fears in our hearts Send us Your light, as we’re making our way through the dark All of the earlier troubles Chaos and pain they unravel Looking ahead we rejoice in YouYou are my strength You are my song You are my salvation You hold it all together You hold it all togetherLike a stone, in the wasteland I was useless, until You Lifted high, in Your mercy Out of sorrow and made new Oh this mind, it can't measure All Your favours in this world So we shout in adoration Holy, holy are You LordYou are my strength You are my song You are my salvation You hold it all together You hold it all together You hold it all together
My daughter sent me this song late last night. Brought tears to my eyes. I love my Hayley a nurse very much. We have both travelled a hard life This song says our belief in Jesus has saved us to keep in the spirit Life is precious.
This song is beautiful. My heart is broken but I know God is my strength and he does hold it all together. This song truly helps give me a little bit of peace when I'm feeling very heavy hearted.
I always read the comments, and I think my day will never come, and today I am going through a very difficult situation, God only knows, I was thinking of giving up my life, But God does not allow it. If someone read to the end, take it for your life: God is everything in our lives.
My only "favorite" Christian music group. We miss the two of you singing songs like these together. Your songs of Christ, your music for God, your very presence (AS&D) is dearly missed. We know change comes eventually. This change still leaves a void in our hearts nonetheless. But yet, we find the Spirit of God in these songs and know that ultimately it was/is all for His glory that you were together... that you were created... for His Glory. In that, we find peace. Praising God for you both and your band members. Amen.
@@strawberryeventing1738 Hey Kate, I know this is over a year later, but I just wanted to say that I prayed for you. If you're happier now then that's great, prayers were answered! But if you're still sad, I hope you can find joy in Jesus 😊
I've listened to a lot of music but this group is just something else. God has blessed us with their music and simple, yet so true, lyrics. Love '' all sons and daughters ''.
My uncle passed away last year in August 2021. On the morning i flew out to attend his celebration of life, I added this song to my Spotify playlist. I listened to it while on the plane ride (I guess I was lead to this song because it fit the gloomy aesthetic of Washington). My uncle loved the Lord-- he is with Jesus now, in our Heavenly eternal home. He is home. The lyrics to this song remind me of my uncle, because he faced a lot of trials in his life. He was a very hard-working, humble man with a beautiful family, he loved people so much. But the biggest thing that made him such a beautiful human was his obedience to Christ. Every time I hear the chorus, I just imagine that being the song in my uncle's heart when he walked through the trials in his life. He had completed his work on earth, and I will see him again. Thank you and see you soon, Uncle Cir 🧡
I just felt I just. Remember my hard time and he guided me 😢😢😭😭😭🤲🏼🤲🏼🤲🏼✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻 thank u so much. This songs. Is. Not only song but. There’s is something. Healing and praising God
Oh my goodness !!!! I am so grateful to have came across this song !!!! So beautiful, powerful and transparent at the same time !! I was holding back my tears.. one of my favorite songs now !
When are you guys going to get back in there?! You helped my walk with the lord with your songs. I had so much junk, your songs helped me through so much.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Such a graceful, humbling piece. I'm looking forward to more songs just like this one. God bless you!
"The Lord is my light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" ~Psalms 27:1, KJV "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Sin of God, that ye must build your foundation, that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no lower over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." ~Helamen 5:12, The Book of Mormon "That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ." ~Colossians 2:2, KJV
I don't accept mormon scripture as prophetic truth. Sorry but not sorry He stands at the gate with His winnowing fork separating wheat from chaff for the true Bread of Heaven. A little leaven ruins the whole batch of dough and for those who in Spirit and Truth are made like His Son He is Jealous like a Groom for His Bride on the wedding day and will not be false to Her nor be joined to a woman who is false to Him.
It's got to be "song", as they sing "You are my strength..." and later, "...my salvation", which is found in a few places in Scripture: "The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him." (Exodus 15:2) "The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation." (Psalm 118:14) "Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation." (Isaiah 12:2)
I really love this album! :) Your songs and lyrics are so beautiful, i really love it. :) Your videos are so good, i like there are so many catholic things in it. :)
I think it means that present sorrows will one day end. ocean of sorrow ends when it meets the sand. Ocean can represent something turbulent and overwhelming like sorrow. however, the ocean doesn't overcome the world. it is stopped by the sand. The promise of Christ is the sand that stops the ocean of sorrow... that's my guess.
Sometimes I wonder, why my faith never dies out completely. I am amazed how the fire, keeps rising from the ashes and burn bright again. God really holds it all together in my life. I am so grateful for salvation.
Nono Siyothula God gives us each a measure of faith. Romans 12:3. He gives it. Therefore it will not fade. But, it's our job to pursue Him, that it may increase. Ask, seek, knock. He is faithful, always. ♡
