Neon Leon is a Leader on and off the ice and is a fine spokesperson. My Moma2 and I both want to see Leon and the Oilers win it all soon. Go Oilers!!!!
So true. How often have we all replayed videos, maxed the volume, and still could not hear what is asked? You would think that after this much time, the NHL would have criteria for reporters to have lapel mics so we all could hear the questions.
Oilers being my fav team. Leon is a player i saw him his rookie year and knew he was different. Early on he was good playing with his back against the net and on the half wall. He reminded me of Jagr. Great reach. I still think he should be a winger like on the power play so he could do more one timers and get setup for passes near the net but...hes amazing anyways
😍Wow, this was a really great interview to watch, usually he’s so reserved and short answered in interviews. seeing him relax and enjoy the conversations was so nice! his humility and willingness to admit he has to work on his mindset to be successful is really admirable. He seems like he can be really hard on himself and have crazy high expectations - but all the really good ones do I guess. All the good things he had to say about his teammates - you can tell he’s a good leader and friend. We have so many genuinely amazing guys on this team… it’s really easy to be an oilers fan. 😊 💙🧡
I just wish the interviewers would stop asking all the Oilers players who are not McDavid, whether they like playing with McDavid and whether they think McDavid is amazing, for pretty much the whole interview. Draisatl is an amazing player in his own right and McDavid holds him in high esteem perhaps more than himself. So let the other Oilers shine in their own light instead of ignoring his own accomplishments and focusing solely on Connor.
Can’t believe this guy turned into the player he is today. As an oilers fan we all knew he was going to be good, but it’s insane how in his 4th or 5th year he just exploded and turned into a f’ing powerhouse.
Eh, I imagine he doesn’t mind. He would probably feel more uncomfortable if they were showering him in praise all the time. Connor is obviously head and shoulders above the league, so its easy to give him kudos.
The Bruins can get in line like everyone else and yes my Oilers have a little something waiting for Boston come Playoffs if the Sabers dont bury them first.
