@@lucasamm yeah they're like season 6 where they take themselves out. I mean Jan had 1 win but she always had her guard up and wasn't prepared to be vulnerable with her all stars 6 cast mates. Like Jan one was very one trick pony and could only give intense and "happy" energy, which is why everyone (including the judges) thiugh she was being disingenuous. And Heidi just wanted to protect her peace like Adore Delano, but they both regretted it later.

The S12 queens are cursed for all stars😢 Jan- She was sooo mistreated that season she could’ve had more wins and possibly get a bit more further. Jaida- She was robbed of high placements and Top2 placements and deserved some more stars AND deserved to be in that finale lipsync. Heidi- I mean she litterly quit so i think that speaks for itself

They have to be very careful with drama if it’s non elimination, otherwise it’s just 12 weeks of watching queens scream at each other and refuse to actually get on with the challenge until the other one is sent home, and I can’t imagine that being fun for anyone involved. In my opinion part of why AS7 was so highly praised was because the queens got on well with next to no drama so they were able to just have fun and really let their talent and personality shine without distractions.

The only thing that gives me hope about shannel being there this time, or maybe the next allstars is because they had her as a lip sync assassin. Then they had her doing the walk-through with Raven that one day. I feel like they were soft launching her to us like they did with Jessica wild. I love shannel so much

I feel like they should do a twist where the top 2 lip sync for the win but twist is whoever wins the lip sync will gain immunity so they don't throw it. Then the winning queen of the li sync then chooses one queen to save from the bottom then the bottom queen then lip syncs against the lip sync assassin. That's my way because we get more lip syncs and the bottom queens can fight for their place to stay and the top queens don't feel pressured to save a fan-fav or a strong competitor from going home

You two look fabulous! I felt that All Stars 7 was a great way to just celebrate Drag while giving the winners something fun to do and make some money. I would love if they would alternate between traditional and all winners formats. We only need 8 queens and we get like 12 winners a year across the franchises.

So STILL no Dida, no Lineysha, no April, or hardly any earlier queens aside from Shannel or Roxxxy? Sadly for me this is worth a miss. It would be cool however, to reintroduce an early season (like season 2 for example) with all the queens of that season that are still doing drag, and getting them to compete all over again. Perhaps even minus the winner of their season to make it an even playing field. They could even call it a 'Ru-Make' of that season.

@@oscarkamala no, I get that, but my point is the All Stars format is a dud when it's either the same crop of people wanting to be a part of it, or just recent queens who we've seen in the last couple of years. There should be more support from World Of Wonder in coaxing back queens from the older seasons as WOW benefit massively from their own show, so perhaps support the older queens in getting together a package so they may return or shake it up and ditch the All Stars format in favour of Ru-creating previous seasons with the same casts of those seasons.

Those queens were early outs on early seasons that had no super notable moments that made them more worthy of AS after. If it was an elimination season, sure. But they would not have done well in this cast.

Tbf pretty much every all stars has had someone come back immediately after their first season. AS1 had Chad, Latrice with only 6 months between season 4 finishing and AS airing. There was 16 months for Katya and Ginger on AS2, 7 months for Aja on AS3, 6 months for Monet and Mo Heart on AS4 and 13 months for Jan on AS6. So Angeria and Jorgeous coming back after what will likely be 2 years by the time AS9 airs makes total sense

I may have the wrong end of the stick but I'm sure I read that Kameron had taken a step back from drag as she had suffered a personal loss. All the love if that is true and makes it very reasonable why they haven't been active. Last year? She was at vegas and did the Sex Education with Vanjie for Wow so I'd say don't count her out though.

Roxxxy is going to devour this season, she was more focuses on just rehabilitating her image on AS2. We already saw how hard she slayed season 5 she coule easily do it again I imagine this season will have more performance/look based challenges which she will do very well at

I could see a format change (and I am fairly certain that WoW is leaking things intentionally every season) so people jumped the gun and thought "Non-elimination". The lip sync assassin format just failed on AS8. It would actually work with this cast (since so many are good lip sync artists) but why risk it. And if I may, lip syncing for the final should also go away. Not all queens entertain by lip syncing. Make lip syncing important by making it a challenge during the season so everyone is forced to do it (and production can cook amazing drama by forcing the pairs). But imo do a talent show at the final, giving them more time so they can really show HOW they entertain. I'd only want a non-elimination format for a Legends season. From this group, is anyone a drag race Legend? Maybe Roxxxy. And I do hope that if we get another All Winners, they pull a lot more international queens. If it is 8 queens, imo 3-4 should be international. Envy, Priyanka, Angele, La Diamond, Admira, Paloma, Carmen, Pitita I'd just want all of them on such a season

I'm on the Willam-Alaska train here and say that the judges should start actually judging again and be the ones to have a bottom 2 or elimination. I'd say have a bottom 3 and a top 2 lipsync to decide the winner and have them save a queen or just go back to the regular LSFYL format. These queens eliminating queens is causing unnecessary toxicity in the fandom and it's better than having a lower stakes non-elimination format

The problem is that many queens do not want to come back for AS since it may ruin their reputation. So if the production wants to have each year, queens are more interested in being able to show everything they brought. It is also worth pointing out that many queens like Vanjie, Plqstique, or Kameron would not compete if there is a risk of elimination. No one wants their carrers to be affected by becoming an early-out.

I'm cool with a non elimination format cause the riggory with some of these elimations/bottoms lately is starting to sour my viewing experience. I think they should clearly define the rules of the stars. No BS at the end where the last challenge is worth one thousand stars. Do regular if not weekly extra star giveaways (ie. The winner of each lipsync gets an extra star to give to someone else) to keep the strategizing / drama alive, and do blocking but with lipsticks instead of the plunger. I think it could work and I'd be interested to see it play out!

My problem with this cast is the same issue I have with AS8 and it is that its just so disjointed. AS1-4 all felt like a continuation of each queen's journey on the show and they had other queens from their season who they had day one storyline with.

I just don't understand whats the point of doing a non elimination season for regular All stars? Why is it that this seaosn group of girls dont have to face the elimination process like the other cast members had to do in previous seasons. Whats the point of doing All stars if they aren't going through the same process as the other seasons if your faves fall in the bottom and get voted off oh well prove that you deserve to be on All stars I don't agree with this decision. I also feel like the reason why they are doing this is because of the fans feedback from this current season of all stars which was absolutely horrible and all over the place.

I also agree with no eliminations for the All Winners. It's important for Ru to protect the brand of Drag Race. One way of doing that is by not undercutting the status and reputations of the winners. To eliminate a winner devalues the position of the regular season. If a winner can be sent home then anyone can be sent home. Valuing a winners contribution to the brand by keeping them also adds more value to being a winner in itself. Especially in the public sphere. Rather than destroying the pantheon you're reinforcing it. This also ensures a yearly crop of new queens scrambling to become a winner, baby.

I also want them to stop bringing back Queens for the third/fourth time., especially when its so close to their original season - Jimbo's been on three seasons in as many years which is just overkill imo. If there is a third time return I'd like to see AS1 (Shantel) or Roxxy. I'd love to see more early season Queens, and obviously Dida is the main name I'd love to be back. April would be another great cast, and Jaidyn Dior Fierce. International, anyone from Holland, Genie from Thailand and most of the UK (I'm thinking who would be eligible here as I imagine they'd need to be fluent in English for Ru to judge)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Eliminations are. Must for non winners, but production needs to start paying them more to appear on the show. A nice Hefty pay so the girls don’t feel like they are going to spend a ton of money only to be eliminated on the first or 2nd episode.
