One thing I find interesting about this cover is that, Ultra M starts the song unusually, as if he knows he's going to lose.

Cool fan-lore incoming (might have some stupid stuff): After the first fight was a fail, Daddy Dearest shows up at their house and sees the fight Boyfriend had Ultra M and decides to give him a continue to make things right and restarts him back on Act 1 and Boyfriend, shocked at first decides to change the future. Boyfriend realized that Mario was just distracting him so he makes sure to protect Girlfriend with all of his might. On Act 2 with Girlfriend alive, it's almost a fair fight so Boyfriend distracts Tanooki Mario till a certain someone has come to help, Pico. With the three all together to face Luigi, Wario, and Yoshi they know they are close to victory but they don't know that Ultra M is here and watching and decides to plan a little something for the trio. On Act 3 Ultra M appears now knowing Boyfriend has somehow had a continue but now knows that it was Daddy Dearest was the one to give Boyfriend a continue so he uses the dead boyfriend, girlfriend, and pico on the first attempt to get them weakened. On Act 4, Ultra M now fully manifested and revealed himself scares the trio but doesn't dwindle their determination, they fight on. On act 4.5 Boyfriend has a solo confronting Ultra M and Pico and Girlfriend hear what Boyfriend had to go through tears off their faces and decide to back him till the end. On Act 5, Boyfriend now not alone is calmer and is ready to fight Ultra M with his loved ones and weaken Ultra M through sheer willpower and Ultra M tried the spike on Boyfriend once again but he dodges it knowing what was about to come. They successfully defeated Mario and were free from the cartridge and destroyed the entity within it and smash the game. 4:31 I like how GF doesn't have a change in the icon, unlike BF who gets scared and Pico who gets angry, this shows that GF doesn't have enough intelligence to be afraid of that, whereas BF doesn't have as much intelligence but there's enough to be scared, and pico? Well, he was confirmed to have the same IQ as Einstein

Fun Fact: Chances are that BF and GF survived in the actual mod since one of the devs said this mod takes place in a stage play, so this could’ve very likely been the canon version of this song if you think all three of the Protags survived

i imagine after the final notes are sung you just see Bf, Gf and Pico taken up into some kind of heavenly light as they finally escape M's world (probably thanks to Double D finally noticing the three's disappearance and puling them out) and then M tries to reach out and grab them in a desperate attempt to not let them leave. and as the three escape the game you get the "course clear" jingle as heard and M is left alone in his world trapped forever.

What would probably happened if bf didn't ran away with gf and Ultra M tried to kill them without breaking their deal

0:03 I don’t know if this detail is intentional but the start of the song makes it seem like Ultra M is aware of the events of the bad ending (Basically OG All stars) or that something about this situation feels familiar and can tell something has changed but realizes it too late as the song continues with GF still alive and Pico later joining.

I feel like this version would have a pre-cutscene, so Lemme describe what I think would happen: It's the end of Act 1, bf and gf have finally finished singing. Distracted by his small victory, bf doesn't notice one of Ultra M's going to grab girlfriend. Obviously gf sees this though, and since she can't use her demon powers, gf starts visibly panicking. Girlfriend is about to get grabbed until... BANG! A shot rings out. Ultra M's hand retracts itself, obviously injured. Girlfriend turns around to see who her savoir is, and it's... Pico! He somehow found his way out of Mr. L's world and made it to the final battle. The 3 stand together, more confident now than ever that they can defeat Ultra M and his minions once and for all.

7:33 This part should’ve had BF remembering all the slaves that M has (Characters like Somari, Turmoil, Super Bad Mario, DJ Hallyboo, Abandoned Luigi) with all the voices of them sings along with BF, starting with only a couple but gradually increasing until the whole cast up until that point is singing with BF to defeat M

I thought my video was slowed down lmao But this was amazing, I love the three fighting against corrupted souls or whatever that was since dead GF couldn't be here and the victory theme at the end. Imagine a high effort mod like this ? Before each act the game check if you FC the song, if you FC you advance the good ending but if at a new act it detects you have a miss a animation play to make you back to the bad ending while continuing the song. It would be crazy

I was just WAITING for someone to make this! And honestly, this is how it should've gone. It really felt like the mod wanted it to go this way, so the ending we got was a serious surprise.

Fun fact:There were plans for a good ending mix but things would mostly play out the same but boyfriend would escape before Ultra M could kill him and when he does he tells daddy dearest that Ultra M killed his daughter.Then Daddy Dearest would shot Boyfriend and hop into the game for a final section Note:The way this good ending mix would work was you had to Full Combo the song

When Pico arrives on time to save GF from Ultra M

I can imagine it’s like this: Once Bf and Gf get their souls stripped away from them years later they challenge M for one last time, he wins they get there souls and body destroyed if they win they get their souls back and leave

besides the vocals being weird, it’s ok, the good ending good but it could stay a little bit of the same, the not hearing gf getting abducted is cool and the act 3 is very creative since gf isn’t there it’s basically fighting their corrupted versions but something that is out of place a little bit is pico, act 1, and the vocals, that’s all but honestly this is pretty epic and you did amazing, u have achieved Creative Points
