8mm socket and finger size Allen wrench and about 5.5 quart of oil 10-30 or 10-40 depending on air Temp , one oil filter . It takes 45minutes from start to finish very easy. book says to change metal washer on oil bolt to stop any possible oil leak every time but I have not had any problems using old washer last 10 oil change. once a year or every 100 hrs . reset alarm reminder by pulling man over boar red switch 3 times in and out while ignition is turned on. Engine does not have to be running .
no but if it is cold it will take longer for it to come out .. open the yellow cap located on top to get better airflow and quicker outflow. it is like a car oil change .you must reset the oil timer as well if you have one
you just saved $150 and got your boat back one month early because you did the job yourself .. make sure you take the used oil to a collection center all auto part stores in usa will accept your used oil . you may want to change the washer on the bolt as well , however I have not notice any leak on mine when I used the old washer
use the new oil filter to fit the correct wrench . warm up the engine and use a pinky size Allen wrench (unknown size) with a cheater bar or extension and about 50 pound of force to turn it . I update the text and pined it . it is an easy job if you ever changed oil on a car.
They dont have size stamped on it .. size of your pinky . . you need to use an extension pipe or something to move it . .they can take a lot of force. if you move the bolt after boating it is much easier .. just break it loose then work on it whenever while it is hot . .
L (US/lpm. qt) 5.5 (5.8/4.8): Oil change only 5.7 (6.0/5.0): Oil filter change I read this as 5qt if you change oil filter and 4.8 quart if you don't change oil filter. books says change filter every 200hrs or once a year ,
