Interesting, some usefull application for land yacht besides leasure activities. but i think the wheels are too large and they add too much rolling resistance to the relatively weak force of the wind unless you're planning to carry heavy weight or plow, it's better to use thinner and larger diameter wheels. i think the wheels are intended for all terrain, but larger wheels vs thicker wheels are better for all terrain, and bumpy ground. the reason thicker and smaller wheels are used is for sandy grounds where the thinner wheels sink too deep. But i don't think your land is sandy.
It’s the first jib iv seen on a land yacht. I think I’m going to make a lite land yacht out of my old topper sailings boat. I also wonder what would the police say if I used it on the roads
Hey did you use a cat sail? I noticed you get a lot of slack. Yeah rake back the mast a bit. What's the steering made from? You have some mean tires on that thing I swear if you rig the whomper on that thing you could pull a plow!😃 Here's a crazy idea get some old wagon wheels! Ill sends pics of the one I'm building but we are sailors here so adjusting to land is interesting. Great job man!!
There are two smaller front wheels that do not twist the front aluminum tube during turning. A larger single wheel tends to twist the front tube too much during turns.
I love what you are doing. But it is way too lose!!! Also too heavy. Tighten the running rigging. Get a stronger mast, and please pull the jib all the way up! Way too lose!!!
