ALL THAT SHIMMERS... Cult Pens x Jacques Herbin and Diamine exclusive shimmer inks 

Thank you for another great review. Like you, I don't usually go for shimmer inks but the Herbin is lovely. I did buy a bottle of Diamine Garland (shimmer) because I love to use the base color only/no shaking up the ink. If I had to choose just one ink(shudder) I would pick Diamine Oxford Blue. It just does it for me! And it's the only ink of which I have purchased two 80ml bottles.

The Herbin Rivière de la Lune looks great close up. I prefer it marginally to the Diamine Muddy Puddle. I'm not sure I'd ever use either for just writing, but the potential if you were drawing or colouring substantial patches seems immense!

Great review. I was just eyeing the Jacques Herbin Rivire De La Lune on Cult. Tangent wise, I’ve got 2nJacques Herbin inks you should look at… the 1610 Stormy Grey, which I believe has gold shimmer in a dark grey ink and the Jacques Herbin collaboration with Kenzo Takada called Shogun (which I have and adore). This ink has a rose gold -copper shimmer in black ink. As I was considering the 2 inks, I went with Shogun and found a Diamine ink called Night Sky (also shimmer, but with silver in a grey-black base). The Jacques Herbin is a great ink and writes wonderfully in my cheapie little Jinhao x450. I really recommend it. Thanks again 😊
