Those big engines driving those small props. I know they're designed so theyre ultimately fast and efficient, but it's like look at 471 diesels on a crew boat. Big brass propellers, which will really turn and move water.
Does your comment have a spice of nostalgia? The aim is to transfer the most power possible to the boat, giving it momentum, ideally *without* moving much water (which will increase wasted joules and turbulence). You said the magic word: "efficient".
My 2015 Hewescraft 190 HT ET is powered by HONDA 150 and a HONDA 9.9 Kicker both fantastic motors can troll all day on maybe $ 3.00 fuel wouldn't have anything else.
Honda was the 1st.mas produced 4 stroke out board...i wonder why they arent as big or bigger then Yamaha or Mercury...for a whiles Honda was like Non-Exsistant in south florida
BE CAUSE nobody wants to work on them . They suck . They break down and corrode fast . Way behind in the marine world . Anybody that runs Honda over 150hp will tell you . To reach 2000 hours . You will be spending tons of money and out of water time . No commercial fishing tour boats use Honda . Nobody . Actually it hurts the resale of a good boat . Sadly Honda is a great brand name but in the marine world they straight out are the worst . The lowest . Your best off with any other brand then Honda for a marine product . Take my word . Save your self lots of money and hassle and more time on the water . Buy something else

@@artgreen6915 depends on the package you buy . Just Honda is the slowest to get parts . Even for new or warranty work . Just expect to be down for a bit buying Honda . Do not get me wrong there decent product. Heavier then others , slower then everybody . But last pretty much the same as other outboards . That’s been my finding .
Honda needs to stick to car’s and motorcycles . Do not buy a outboard honda . Nobody wants to fix the darn things . Save yourself a huge hassle . Buy anything but a Honda outboard . No matter what anybody says . Yes Honda is the best cars and motorcycles etc . Just with anything to do with marine . Stay away .
hondas and yamahas absolutely rule. if you think mercury or evinrude are better then you havent owned a honda or a yamaha or a merc, ive owned all of them and ill never buy another merc. they are garbage.
