I gave caraval a 3 stars but the second and third books were 5 stars for me!! The story gets SO much more interesting and I personally love Donatella’s perspective and story sm better!! ❤️❤️

I feel the same about "A Little Life'. I absolutely love it, it's one of my all-time favorite books, but I don't recommend it. The few times I have recommended it, I can't stress enough to check the trigger warnings. But this book changed my life, I literally have not stopped think about its since and that was like almost two years ago 😭

i also gave caraval a 3 stars, but the series gets so much better!! the second book focuses a lot more on tella and the plot gets even more developed and intriguing! i would definitely continue the series because it gets really good and there are some amazing characters introduced!! love u and this video💕💕

I just discovered your channel and lady, you are costing me a lot of money! The Amazon boxes and Barnes and Noble bags are piling up. Okay, they were already piling up but you are not helping the piles to shrink. I also loved A Little Life, but I don't think I could read it again. Good for you. Tomorrow, I agree, was spectacular. One of my favorites of 2023 so far. What an amazing writer. I'm glad someone else felt the same about the Cruel Prince; I just did not like it at all and could not understand why it was getting so much hype. I'm not sure I will return to Holly Black after that one. There are too many great books waiting. Best wishes! Your channel is this librarian's favorite.

okokok SO caraval i also read this month as well as legendary (the second book) and i as well as my friend did not feel a connection to the mc scarlett. BUT the second book Legendary was a 4.5 stars for me because it follows her sister Donatella and LET ME TELL YOU tella actually feels like a character in a way scarlett never did. So PLEASE continue the series becuase the change of protagonist helps the story immensely anyways love your vids!!! always exited to see you have posted!

Yes yes yes! I feel the exact same way as you do about the Folk of the Air series! I didn’t really like The Cruel Prince and didn’t love the characters either, however, the books got a little better as the series went on.🙌🏻

Read her debut book The Friend Zone next! Do not read the blurb or anything about her second book The HEA Playlist til you read the friend zone and then read The HEA playlist, I say this so you can have all the feels of The Friend Zone, it’s soooo so good!!! I also can’t wait for her new book to come out!!! She’s an insta-buy author for me! ❤

My most recent GR review was Say You Swear. I start off saying I’m giving this 5 stars. The hero alone made it 5 stars. Then I list several reasons I shouldn’t give it 5 stars but none of them were enough to stop the feeling I had while and after I read. I don’t even have criteria that must be met or things I can point to specifically that will cause me to not give something stars.

a lot of people read little life and hate it because they cant grasp on how descriptive the trauma is in that book. ONly read it if you want something sad to read and you don't have any major triggers.

Legendary and Finale are sooo much better than Caraval. Legendary is from Tella's pov and you get introduced to so many others characters, it's so good! I didn't really love Caraval either but I was obsessed with the other two(and once upon a broken heart is even better)

I have to agree with you about TCP trilogy. I really wasn’t connecting with the characters and didn’t find myself rooting for Jude as much as I was hoping to. I really wanted to enjoy the series, but so far, it’s not doing it for me :/

tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow (which i hate typing 😂) was honestly disappointing to me - I thought the characters were so disjointed! in some chapters Sam was described as timid and a loner, and other times he's described as being outspoken and going on the publicity tours bc he likes attention. like huh? totally respect your opinion but it fell flat for me
