Guys. Thanks to this episode, I figured out what was bothering me about the series. Ironically, it doesn't explain enough about the world and magic (or show it to us), which is opposite to problems anime usually have. We learn in this episode that Pete is a Reversi, Someone whose powers allow him to change biological sex, which allows him access to different spells that others people aren't privy to. It's considered a gift in the magical world, and we learn through Carlos and whitrow that it isn't the only sex-based magic that exists

Well, that's usually more of an issue with video adaptations in general. You'd probably find more satisfaction with the world building by reading the original light novels.
