Hi Brie, I just wanted your advice on how I can prepare to become a flight attendant, I'm 17 years old turning 18 in 6 months, an Australian citizen but grew up in Bali, Indonesia so I do speak Indonesian fluently and can read and write it as well. Just want to get a head start, what can I do at 17 to help me get the job ? And also do you have any courses that you would recommend?
Hi Brieana! I just wanted to say thank you so much for your videos. I have just landed my dream job as a flight attendant with Virgin and I don't think I would of made it without you. I watched your videos every day leading up to assessment day - they were so so helpful and made me super prepared. On the day they said to me wow how are you so prepared and it is literally all thanks to you. You are an absolute star!!! I am just wondering as well what you wore during training school? I have received the welcome pack but am on a bit of a low budget - do you think it is fine just to buy a couple of outfits and re wear them for the 6 weeks? thank you in advance xx
Woooo congratulations on landing your dream job! I am so so happy for you 🥲 🎉!!! When do you start ground school? Don’t worry too much about buying new things for ground school, just have one or two staple pieces, like pants or a skirt that you can mix and match with other things in your closet. Op shops are really great as well they have so much! Xx
Hi Bri. I am curious. What were you wearing during your swimming test? In my last airline I had to wear the full airline uniform. Also, it was a group swimming test. We had to tread for one hour, which was really exhausting. We were not allowed to rest under water, or float. I guess it has changed now for most airlines.
Hi Brieana! Your videos are really helpful for preparing the precess, I have a quick question - is comprehension check one of part in assessment day? Or after jump on next stage after assessment day? If you answer this question, that will be great. Thank you!
I finished getting the certificates that I need to get. (The RSA was sooooo easy), but I can’t reapply for virgin til next March. Rex and link are hiring, but mainly for a solo flight attendant. So I’m waiting til I can try virgin again.
Hey There, Thank you so much for your hints and tips :) I’ve been obsessed with watching them. Lol. I passed the video interview and was sent an email regarding booking a time slot for the next recruitment day. Unfortunately, I was made to decline due too no time slots available :( how shattering. Do you know how often recruitment days are made available? Wait with excited anticipation. Fingers crossed xxx Thanks again for all the vlogs! They have helped me so much :)
I love your video, it's very tidy and clean and easy to understand because you've listed the content of your video, I just binge watching your Video.. I really wanted to be a Flight Attendant, I hope I can make it. Thanks a lot for your video❤🥰
Oh my! You have helped me a lot l’m really passionate about being a flight attendant and l’ve been binge watching all your videos ahah. Pls just never stop these are amazing and l appreciate them thank you babes x❤
Hi Brie. Just want to say without your helpful videos I wouldn’t have made it this far (ref check). I’m in my fifties and gave it a shot not expecting to get to this point. I’m sure it was due to bingeing your videos. The process is so long and arduous and the waiting game is difficult. Thanks Brie and keep up the great work ❤
Hi Brieana! Newbie here from the US! I follow and support quite a few FA's on this side of the world and I am delighted to find one from a little further out :) Even though I have no inclination to work in the industry, I am quite keen on learning about the process and well, I am very much into aviation in general (despite my anxiety from actually flying). I could watch planes land and take off all day. I also believe airline employees are too often underappreciated. Honestly, I think they're heroes, especially the last 18 plus months with all that's been happening in the world. And I know Australia is really having its challenges also. Y'all can never get enough credit IMO. So I am happy to find this channel. I already love your personality :)
Hey Scott! Thanks for the support and welcome! That’s awesome you are interested in aviation! I hope you enjoy all my videos and hopefully give you a bit of an insight into what it’s like over on this side of the world! I appreciate your respect for airline stuff - very kind of you!
Hey brieana I am Dnyaneshwar I would like to promise you That I give you 100 subscribers from India🇮🇳 and this is my promise to you video is very nice👍👏😊
Hi Brie! Love your videos! Its helped me so much during the recruitment process! Just wanted to know where you got your RSA cert done? My recruiter has stressed that I need to get one nationally recognised and not just exclusive to a state.
Hey Jenny, to be honest... i can't remember where i got my RSA done all i remember is i googled RSA Melbourne, Pay $50 and attended a couple hour training and then got mine! Have a look at this website, not sure if this is a good course or not but hopefully it's a option in the right direction??? www.eot.edu.au/online-courses/RSA/
Hi Bri, super informative video thank you. In regards to the eye test, does having bad eye sight effect their decision? or are you able to wear glasses /contacts in the role?
@@BrieanaYoung amazing thank you. I’ve received the email from VA to attend an assessment day (date tbc) so I’m currently researching as much as possible. Your videos have been very informative, thank you 🙌🏼
Great series Brie all your tips will definitely benefit future applicants. You’re so right about letting people know to be a reference. I’ve had it happen to me with just a few hours notice.. I was like ummmm... 😧
I’m worried now because I didn’t include references in the resume I submitted, instead I put, “can be supplied if necessary”. I have made it to the questionnaire part of the application process and was wondering if they’ll disregard my submission or will they contact me for my references...
@@BrieanaYoung thanks so much for your reply! I hope they do contact me, I have references ready. To be a flight attendant has been my dream since I was 4. I have another question if you don’t mind, I couldn’t find anyone from Qantas talk about it but are you allowed to have braces? I get mine off in 6 weeks and I’m curious to know if they’re acceptable or not. Thank you 🤍
Hello! Love watching your vlogs! They’re interesting and very helpful 😍 just a quick question, how long after your medical assessment did you get the job offer? And was it through email, or did they call you? 😊 thank you so much!
@@BrieanaYoung I’ve done most things now and just waiting to get a job offer if permitted to be. Thank you for answering my question. Hope to fly soon too!
Did you get the offer gorgeous? 😍❤️ I'm waiting to hear back after completing all the checks too! Also how much notice do they give you before ground school? ❤️
Takes me back to that busy time before Ground School started, trying to organise all of the certificates and documents. Wild to think we went through all that before even getting the job offer haha. #worthit
