I love this entire video! I am similar to you - engagement was definitely an open conversation me and my (now) husband had: whether I was comfortable getting proposed to be in public, how much we wanted to spend on a ring, what kind of ring, etc. I have always recommended to all my friends who are thinking of getting engaged to go to different jewelry stores and try things on bc you really do think you have an idea in your head and then you try it on and it's just not the ring for you! I thought I wanted a round-cut diamond with a halo setting. Tried that on - NOPE lol. Also a fellow lab diamond wearer! Best decision ever!

Loved getting to hear all these details!! My fiancé purchased my ring from an Etsy store and used my Pinterest board to help find my ring. He also knew how important it was for me to have a conflict free stone as well which meant so much 🥰 I believe my stone is moissanite and I've gotten sooooo many compliments on it

Thanks for sharing! I think you're a few years younger than me (not exactly sure), but I'm in a similar place in life where I'm thinking about marriage and all the planning that goes along with it. I didn't expect to be in different places in life than some of my own friends, but I suppose that's completely normal! gurl i have a lab diamond and when i see other ladies' rings i am just like.. YUP, love mine, they are so much more clear and clean without any flaws, the overall quality is just more appealing to me. idc about reselling value later on, it's my ring and i also feel less bad if anything were to ever happen to it....

My husband proposed with a ring pop! Sounds silly but we joked about it early on in dating because he wasn’t sure what I would like and I honestly had no idea either! So him proposing in Hawaii with the ring pop was really sweet. He even brought two different flavors.. just in case 😂. Then I got to pick out my dream ring and it worked out so well! 😊

I LOVE your ring! It's not what I would pick for me, but it's perfect for you! Unique and classic at the same time ❤ I got a moissanite that I love for our 10 year anniversary. It took a long time to find what I wanted, but I'm so happy with it. It's just a round (old European) cut solitaire, but it was hard to find a setting I liked. Then my band is a very simple dimond band. I love that I can wear my band on its own, and it's petite and simple. Especially since I have kids. I'm so happy for you guys!! Congratulations! ❤

Great video! Your ring is beautiful. The corners and placement of prongs really do make the ring in my opinion! I’m happy to hear you have a lab grown diamond. I am in the same position as you, not millionaires and I’m perfectly fine with a lab grown. I’ve been told I should sacrifice the size/style of the ring I want in order to have a natural diamond because the quality matters most. I disagree with that wholeheartedly and am relieved that someone I respect so much as yourself has a lab-gown herself!

It’s funny because Ive had bfs in the past who would also just cut to the chase and start talking about getting a house and getting married. No proposal either lol😂 we would just start planning everything together. And now I look back and it’s funny to me how they would casually bring up marriage and say when we were gonna get married (one wanted it to be in February haha) and I would casually go along with it 😂 like “ok” lol. And then I’d go try on wedding dresses the next day. Another one wanted to buy me my dream house and we talked about all the marriage arrangements before he even proposed. And another one was looking at houses he wanted for us before proposing too lol.
