Great info, but let's not beat around the bush, this video isn't a "review" of a brand new tech product like mentioned in the intro, it's an extended advertisement for the V5 watch.
I had a H4 handheld and it was great tool. I had issues with yardage on one hole at my local club, contacted their support team and they had a fix within a day! Amazing!
I'm a huge fan of shotscope, I've been using them for years V2 being my 1st one. I recently bought the V5 but have found it missing a LOT of my shots in the 3 rounds I've played. I'm talking 7-10 missed shots. Very frustrating and disappointed with it so far. Battery is ok but not sure it would last a full 2 rounds.
So I’m curious I already have an Apple Watch can you compare the v5 to the golfshot pro app that uses the Apple Watch. Since I already have the Apple Watch I can get 6 years of golfshot pro for the same price as the shot scope.
For someone who already wears an Apple watch and not really wanting to use another if I can get away with it, would you find the H4 to be comparable as far as tracking my rounds and using my phone/Apple watch minus hole overview and moving distances around like you can on the watch?
wait did you ever mention battery life? I know their site says it will last 2 rounds of golf using gps but nothing about total life like when using it just as a watch. Also have you guys reviewed the garmin Z82 that looks really interesting.
handhelds are superior to watches. the screen is bigger and you don't have to wear it on your body. good examples are the Bushnell phantom 3 and Garmin g30.
Really it comes down to the touch screen. Some people like it while others prefer physical buttons. If you prefer to navigate on a touch screen watch than the X5 is worth the extra $50 or so.
V5 all day. Bought the X5 in March, it was good but I had issues with the touch screen. Sometimes it wouldn’t pick up touches other times it would just go to another screen on its own. Unless you absolutely love touch screens I’d say V5. Or try out the X5 and return it before 30days to be on the safe side.
I wouldnt be inclined to use a fake product that is using another brands name, but if it looked like a brand name but called something else and not using the same logo, then yer why not.
