@@sergiohenrique2411 I can't say I'm ecstatic to be getting another Dungeon extension, though as I said in the video, it was probably the easiest option for them considering they hadn't planned a Chapter 4. At least they've added interesting stuff with the tunnels as opposed to just rehashing what's already been done. I definitely don't wanna see any future expansions though 😂
I like the new dynamics presented in the Jhebbal-Sag event(s). The new ways of getting events is also great. The changes to the Purge - Yikes - awesome. I wonder what will happen when thieves wander over placed traps inside your treasure base? The ballistae are amazing. Always disliked the clumsiness of the trebs so this is a good add. Overall, I am looking forward to the Update. Will be a lot of fun - after the Update, Patches, and Hotfix, etc.
@@GrymmsPlace I'm pretty sure thieves would trigger any traps they walk over. It's super easy for them to sneak past you, but if you catch them up close, the shimmering is a dead giveaway, plus they tend to stand around lockpicking a lot 😂
@@Eradicati0nnpets need a full rework. First they need special abilities to compensate the lack of gear. Second, breeding should be a thing. Third, different leveling system, I suggestthat they be able to be leveled passively when on a pen, xp gains depend on food quality. Also, a ritual to ascend regular pets to greater versions.
Glad we can revert combat ,I don't like the thieves being invisible. Oh well, seems pretty exciting the new purge but I will have to redo my purge base completely 😅
Thx Mate for material and news. I'll hold back my admiration because we all know what happened last time. In theory, the news sounds promising, but only after the premiere of Act 4 will we see what we will actually get from all this. I'm just afraid, as usual, that the new update won't devastate other, older and no longer supported mods. Because despite the efforts of devs, it is thanks to mods that Conan Exiles still exists.
I'm hopeful not to see another disastorous launch, We've had more than enough of them with this age 😩 It likely will kill some no longer supported mods, but it's bound to happen at some point, the devs can't avoid updating parts of the game just so that non-updated mods will still function. If anything, it'll encourage other mod creators to take up the mantle and create an updated alternative
I was streaming today, and well the thieves caught me off guard. I thought the purge had stalled without saying it had and opened the front gates and a bunch of thieves poured through (not hidden) I was like oops and died laughing right on the stream. I am sure all 4 of my viewers got a kick. But a few minutes later the jarhead golems started popping in. I was like WHAT? I thought they were supposed to be separate. So, I'm wondering if they decided to mess with us and mix them in. Your amazing and I aspire to be as great as you one day, thank you for the advice you gave me last year.
Gratitude for the review. Overall some good stuff. Very much love the fur cloak and that the event will be evergreen or at least cycle. The only things I absolutely dislike are the inability to split stacks by a specific number and the shackling of dye use to that oversized and obnoxious bench.
Ch4 shaping up to be one of the best chapters, so long as they can launch it without game breaking issues this time. I LOVE that they are including building pieces in the battle pass.
This sounds amazing, I've been feeling rather let down by the recent chapters and this is really igniting that spark again. I do wonder if the rewards we receive from the Sacred hunt event will be bound to the character or to the account though.
Im pretty excited for the purges... It was like an actual battle in the beta testing...i didnt lvl or armor any yhralls i spawned so I cait wait to see how 90 lvl 20 thralls do ina fullscale war
I'm not sure I understood what the "blitz mode" at 13:40 is. Is it when you've already completed the current battlepass, but you continue to complete the challenges available without redeeming their battlepass exp rewards? As in, to save them for the next battlepass when it comes? A month ago I was doing just that, just going through all sorts of challenges without redeeming them, so that when the next battlepass drops I'd be able to grind through it really fast because I'll soon be busy with work and won't have much time to dedicate to Conan.
The 'Blitz' method is quite simple, you basically hold onto your XP boosters until you hit the cap, load into single player, then complete only purple and gold ones using admin mode. It usually takes about two - three weeks to finish the BP in this fashion, so probably between 5 and 10 sessions of actually doing challenges, less than an hour in total most likely. As far as I'm aware though, you can't carry over completed challenges to the next battle pass.
@@Eradicati0nn oh okay then I also do that one. Well it's a shame the completed challenges don't carry over, would ease my life a lot at a time when this game has been less of a fun experience and more of a chore, especially after witnessing the dissolution of 3-4 rp communities in the span of the past 2-3 years...
The amount of changes and additions were a bit jolting to me, in a good way. I suck at pvp but boy am I pumped for that ballista! I'll use it on a rabbit, I do not care.
Me too, I was expecting a new battle pass, a few things that didn't make it into AoW C3 and that's about it. I really didn't expect them to pull this much out for an unplanned chapter, but I'm pleasantly surprised. The Ballista is very satisfying, I gave it a try against a couple of enemies when I was testing it out 😂
I probably didn't communicate the thieves as well as I could have in this video. The sound is one of the giveaways, but you can also see their footprints in the sand, they're incredibly slow at lockpicking through your base, and they also shine incredibly obviously if you get close to them 😂 They're easy to catch and kill if you're paying attention, but if you're a solo player, you're gonna have to either plan ahead or really be paranoid about them, it's easy for them to slip past
I think it's a dyed version of the Vendhyan Treasure Hunter armor with the Embalming Headdress. Vendhyan set is from the Bazaar, Embalming Headdress is from the AoW C1 or C2 Battle Pass I believe.
@@Animefreakah Oh my bad, this comment got stuck in the spam filter for some reason. It's one of the new ones in the Bazaar, I think it's from the Poitain Jousting set
I did not expect Jebbal Sag to make an appearance this age. Quite a surprise and not an unwelcome one since for me atleast, The stygians have been a bit underwhelming and mundane thus far.
I kinda agree. The Stygian Army is very war-hungry and full of zealotry for Set, but I think that gets one dimensional rather quickly when their motivations are literally just "gib money". Stygia itself is incredibly interesting, especially its history with Acheron, but I don't think the army had enough story depth, this season was quite light on the lore front
Wave to Eradicati0n ) So happy they fix combat and freands AI, but Funcom plz rework Bazzar, give choice by some peaces for 5/10 $ or bring back full priced DLC with all content in one bundle for 30$, plz , good day all )
its nice to see the mew things to the purge im not happy about putting the spanish armor into conan it feels not like conan at all its to much into the future compare to all other skins but i like the ballista you can use it as defences machine and i cannot wait to you can put thalls onto them in the future can make base walls much more fun and epic to build but they need to fix the bolt drop when you shoot you need to aim so high you allmost cannot see the target just to hit it
I don't mind the Spanish armor myself, it feels fantasy enough that I can see it at least somewhat fitting, though it will feel a bit jarring given just how under-represented the Zingaran culture is in-game. I think bolt drop is intentional so the Ballista isn't just broken, I don't mind there being a learning curve to it myself, makes it at least a little harder to use than a point and shoot system
Nooo absolutely not 😂 It'll just be the end of the Age of War, which is basically just a season of content. Around July of this year is when we'll get the next season, which will be a whole new age themed around something new
After being somewhat disappointed by chapter 3, I'm happy about chapter 4 giving the game more needed love. At the same time I'm kinda sad about no real changes happening to the bazaar. I was hoping there would be some change eventually, like a proper way to buy what you want instead of relying on rotations and luck, but I guess that's a me problem in the end.
Yeah I like what they've done in Chapter 4 thus far. Chapter 3 looked good but pretty much everything was botched at launch, and that really soured it. I think we will get Bazaar changes at some point, it just probably wasn't that high of a priority compared to actual gameplay content for this age, especially considering the Chapter 3 mess
@@Eradicati0nn Probably, yeah. I'm keeping my hopes up, honestly. Been with the game since the official release, so I got to experience the good and bad updates, bugs and whatnot. Despite all that I still made this game my main game and I kinda wanna keep supporting it somehow after they stopped with the DLCs. Tho, sadly that's not that easy when you're limited by the bazaar sets and timers.
@@Eradicati0nn it needs to go back to how it was in age of sorcery. Where we could do full combos with our weapons and roll at least once before we run out of Stam. Right now the stamina system is awful and it has to get fixed.
Finally, they have changed the challenge mechanics the actual challenges are really tedious to do and force you to do repetitive things instead of playing the game properly. The Jhebbal sag rituals are very interesting, is not clair if you can use a thrall in those or not. The new purge waves... well, sincerely, I've spent thousands of hours building my base, and I have absolutely no intention of seeing that destroyed by a meteor mage in a level 9 purge, especially if they don't change the rewards for high tier purges... I think I'll never activate a 7+ purge anymore, it doesn't worth the pain considering the reward and the risk... regarding the rest is ok... I really can't wait to pass to another age, in my opinion this "age of war" has been forgettable, at least for its contents.
I don't place the coffer in my base because I've also spent many hours building it. Instead whenever I wanna do a purge, I build a purge base specifically for that purpose only. This way I won't loose anything but my treasure if I loose a purge.
@mariachamoun I've done the same, my coffer is outside the base, but by watching the video it seems that the meteor rain is pretty large... I have to see some demo first, then maybe I can try it out... but about the rewards it doesn't seem developers have changed much and considering the fact that I've lost two tier4 level20 thralls in the last tier7 purge and the rewards have been forgettable, I don't think it'll worth the pain anyway.
Each devstream like this is more and more embarrassing, it shows how much they play the game or how much they don't care about the needs of the players. Making a big deal out of it they set up anything (inventory QoL) that's been around as a mod for years, or quasi-admit that they're too lazy to introduce basic changes like assigning the right weapons to the right attribute (rapier, cutlass) by making a new weapon category. Or not to mention such a blatant lie as the 'underground' tunnel system or making another misleading yamatai setting - but what about the usability of the seat cushions since then? Or about making animal followers relevant. (How big would the burn-in have been if the dog named 'fans and chat' had been lost in livestream - which it almost did several times.) With the splitting up of the building element sets and their transfer to BP, as well as with the redundant, mixed-up Bazaar packages, it can be seen that this is starting to become ridiculous. Especially since, breaking their previous rules (and, interestingly, FOMO), they still make the former BP items priceable and re-sellable. It is clear that they are not even trying to hide this whole charade with their body language and joking.
The stream definitely would have benefitted from a structured presentation, there was a lot to get through and not enough structure to lay everything out properly. Inventory QoL is quite a big deal, especially for consoles. If they can't get mods on consoles, at least not for the foreseeable future, they definitely should learn from & adopt some of the useful features from popular mods. I don't believe they ever claimed the Lost Dungeon tunnels could let you build underground, and we don't really know anything about Yamatai Onsen, though people being suspicious of it makes sense given the Yamatai Tavern debacle. Animal followers could do with some love too, I wouldn't be surprised to see that come in the future. It was mentioned in the Age of Sorcery that they'd be open to changing some of the more popular Battle Pass items and putting them on the Bazaar, they never claimed they wouldn't. They said the rewards from those passes would remain unique, which they still do, as the repackaged items are cosmetically different, and noticeably so from the preview we saw. Arguably a somewhat anti-FOMO move, given that Arcane pieces have been requested to be reintroduced for a good while, whilst still retaining the 'prestige' of the original pieces. I don't really get the body language point myself. Dennis seemed reserved, but he pretty much always does, I get the impression he's not a natural camera person, much like myself. Andy was clearly excited, though the stream could have been cleaner with a set structure and layout as opposed to jumping into it. The latter approach does make it more informal, which has worked for some streams, but showcases with as much information as this one need structuring
